Description
TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a thermosetting resin composition, a molded article and a lamp reflector comprising a cured product thereof.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a lamp used for an automobile headlamp or the like is provided with a lamp reflector including a molded body made of a cured product of a thermosetting resin composition. As a thermosetting resin composition used as a material for a lamp reflector, there is a BMC (Bulk Molding Compound) mainly composed of an unsaturated polyester resin, a low shrinkage agent, a filler and a glass fiber. A cured product of BMC has good dimensional accuracy, mechanical strength and heat resistance. For this reason, lamp reflectors containing molded articles made of cured BMC are widely used in OA (office automation) equipment, general electric machine parts, heavy electrical parts, automobile parts, and the like.
As a thermosetting resin composition used as a material for a lamp reflector, there are those described in Patent Document 1 and
Patent Document 1 describes an unsaturated polyester resin composition for lamp reflectors comprising an unsaturated polyester, a cross-linking agent, an inorganic filler, a hollow filler and a fiber reinforcement.
In general, a thermosetting resin composition used as a material for lamp reflectors contains a release agent to ensure releasability from the mold during molding.
However, when the content of the release agent in the thermosetting resin composition is increased so as to obtain sufficient releasability, the paintability and fogging property of the molded article made of the cured product of the thermosetting resin composition are reduced. deteriorates.
As a method for reducing the content of the mold release agent in the thermosetting resin composition while ensuring releasability from the mold during molding, a method of adding a thickener to the thermosetting resin composition is available. be.
However, when a thickener is added to the thermosetting resin composition to improve the releasability, the fluidity of the thermosetting resin composition is lowered, resulting in poor moldability.
Therefore, conventional thermosetting resin compositions have good fluidity and releasability from molds during molding, and cannot give cured products having excellent paintability and fogging properties.
Moreover, when a molded article having uneven thickness portions is molded using a conventional thermosetting resin composition, cracks may be formed in the uneven thickness portions. Many lamp reflectors have a complicated shape with uneven thickness. Therefore, as a thermosetting resin composition used as a material for lamp reflectors, there is a demand for a thermosetting resin composition that does not easily crack even when molded into a shape having uneven thickness portions.

[(g) filler]

(h) The content of the fiber reinforcing material is preferably 70 to 100 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of (a) the unsaturated polyester resin and (b) the ethylenically unsaturated compound. (h) When the content of the fiber reinforcing material is 70 parts by mass or more, the thermosetting resin composition provides a cured product with better mechanical properties. On the other hand, when the content of the (h) fiber reinforcing material is 100 parts by mass or less, the (h) fiber reinforcing material tends to be uniformly dispersed in the thermosetting resin composition, and a homogeneous cured product can be easily obtained.
