Description
The present invention relates to a lean vehicle equipped with an inter-vehicle communication antenna and an inter-vehicle communication antenna configured to be mounted on the lean vehicle.
Lean vehicles are equipped with different antennas for different uses. Examples of antennas mounted on lean vehicles include GPS antennas, ETC vehicle-mounted antennas, vehicle-to-vehicle communication antennas, and the like. The GPS antenna is a receiving antenna and receives radio waves from GPS communication satellites. Therefore, since the GPS antenna receives radio waves from the GPS communication satellites, the receiving surface is directed upward so that radio waves can be received from above. The ETC vehicle-mounted antenna is a transmitting/receiving antenna, and is provided so as to transmit/receive radio waves from an ETC antenna provided above an ETC gate on a road on which a lean vehicle travels. Therefore, the ETC vehicle-mounted antenna transmits and receives radio waves to and from the ETC antenna above the horizontal direction. For example, since an ETC on-vehicle antenna transmits and receives radio waves in a direction of 45 degrees or more with respect to the horizontal direction, it is installed so that the transmitting/receiving surface of the antenna faces upward when the lean vehicle is upright. Moreover, the directivity of the ETC vehicle-mounted antenna is narrow. This is because the ETC is used to charge lean vehicles traveling straight in the lane corresponding to each ETC gate.
On the other hand, the vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna is a transmitting/receiving antenna for communicating with vehicles existing around the lean vehicle in which this antenna is mounted.
For example, a lean vehicle disclosed in Patent Literature 1 includes a vehicle-to-vehicle communication device that communicates with vehicles existing around the lean vehicle. The vehicle-to-vehicle communication device includes an electrically connected metallic rod-shaped antenna. The metal rod-shaped antenna for vehicle-to-vehicle communication disclosed in Patent Document 1 is provided via a fixture on a stay provided on the head pipe in the internal space inside the front cover.
In the lean vehicle disclosed in Patent Literature 1, the metal rod-shaped antenna for vehicle-to-vehicle communication is installed inside the front cover, so it does not appear on the front inclined surface of the front cover. The degree of freedom in designing the front inclined surface of the front cover is ensured. In a lean vehicle, the front inclined surface of the front cover is the part that the observer pays the most attention to. Therefore, the degree of freedom in designing the front inclined surface of the front cover is important.
However, since the metal rod-shaped antenna for inter-vehicle communication is arranged in the internal space inside the front cover, it is difficult to efficiently utilize the internal space inside the front cover. Objects located around the vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna affect the communication performance of the vehicle-to-vehicle communication. In particular, metal equipment, devices, wiring, etc. have a great influence on the communication performance of vehicle-to-vehicle communication. In addition, since the vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna has a characteristic of mainly communicating with a vehicle located substantially horizontally ahead of the own vehicle, it is preferable that no obstacles are installed in the front direction. Thus, when the vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna is provided in the internal space of the front cover, various restrictions are imposed on the layout of equipment, devices, wiring, etc. in the internal space. Therefore, there is a possibility that the utilization efficiency of the internal space may be lowered. In particular, a lean vehicle is configured such that the attitude of the vehicle is controlled by shifting the weight of the driver during running. From the viewpoint of operability and running performance, lean vehicles tend to be required to be compact. Utilization efficiency of the interior space of the front cover is important for lean vehicles. That is, it is important for a lean vehicle equipped with an antenna for vehicle-to-vehicle communication to obtain all of the following.
Communication performance of vehicle-to-vehicle communication Degree of freedom in designing the front inclined surface of the front cover Efficiency of utilization of the internal space inside the front cover
The present invention is a lean vehicle equipped with an antenna for vehicle-to-vehicle communication, which is capable of increasing the degree of freedom in designing the front inclined surface of the front cover and improving the utilization efficiency of the internal space inside the front cover while ensuring the communication performance of vehicle-to-vehicle communication. I will provide a.
For the purpose mentioned above, the present inventor conducted the following investigations.
A vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna is an antenna for communicating with a vehicle, unlike a GPS antenna or an ETC vehicle-mounted antenna. A vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna is installed in a lean vehicle so as to transmit radio waves in a horizontal direction in order to transmit radio waves to vehicles on the road around the lean vehicle. In addition, since the vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna transmits radio waves to vehicles traveling around the lean vehicle, it is required to transmit in a wide angular range in the horizontal plane.
In addition, the vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna supports communication in a lean posture, and communication in the front-rear direction when crossing a peak on the boundary between an uphill and a downhill, for example, so it transmits above and below the horizontal direction. Required to be included in the scope. Above and below the horizontal direction is, for example, a range of 45 degrees above and below the horizontal direction. Therefore, the vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna differs from antennas such as GPS antennas and ETC antennas in the transmission direction and directivity of radio waves.
In vehicle-to-vehicle communication, a vehicle to be communicated with is normally on the road as well as the own vehicle. The vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna is located at approximately the same height as the lean vehicle on which the antenna is mounted, and mainly communicates with a vehicle located away from the lean vehicle.
The inventors have studied the shape of the antenna in order to improve the utilization efficiency of the internal space inside the front cover. Concretely, the present inventors have considered arranging the substrate antenna along the inside of the front cover by forming the vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna into a plate shape.
However, the front cover has a curved surface designed in consideration of design and running resistance. On the other hand, the substrate antenna also has restrictions on its shape and size in order to obtain the performance of vehicle-to-vehicle communication. The substrate antenna must have a size to obtain the performance of vehicle-to-vehicle communication. Therefore, it is difficult to properly arrange the substrate antenna along the inside of the front cover, and it is difficult to improve the utilization efficiency of the internal space inside the front cover.
Therefore, the inventor of the present invention further studied. As a result, the present inventor has come up with the idea of molding a substrate-shaped inter-vehicle communication antenna on the front cover of a lean vehicle equipped with an inter-vehicle communication antenna. By shortening the wavelength, the performance of inter-vehicle communication can be obtained even if the area of the substrate antenna is small. As a result, the substrate antenna can be molded inside the front cover while satisfying the performance of the substrate antenna and the degree of freedom in designing the front inclined surface of the front cover. As a result, it is possible to improve the utilization efficiency of the internal space inside the front cover.
As described above, the present invention can improve the communication performance of inter-vehicle communication, the degree of freedom in designing the front inclined surface of the front cover, and the inside of the front cover by molding a board-shaped inter-vehicle communication antenna on the front cover of a lean vehicle. This is the first invention that was made possible by the unprecedented technical idea of satisfying all the utilization efficiency of the internal space.

(1) A lean vehicle equipped with an antenna for vehicle-to-vehicle communication,
The lean vehicle equipped with an antenna for inter-vehicle communication,
a lean vehicle body that leans leftward during left turning and leans rightward during right turning;
It has a ground contact portion having a substantially arcuate cross-sectional contour shape, is provided on the lean vehicle body, and is provided on each of the front and rear so as to incline leftward during left turning and rightward during right turning. a lean wheel that is
a seat positioned between the front and rear lean wheels in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle;
a non-metallic front cover made of a non-metallic material and having a front inclined surface that is visible when viewed rearward and receives wind from the front during running;
a vehicle-to-vehicle communication device provided in the lean vehicle body and used for vehicle-to-vehicle communication with vehicles existing around the lean vehicle body;
A plate-shaped metal substrate antenna portion electrically connected to the vehicle-to-vehicle communication device is provided so as to be inclined leftward or rightward integrally with the lean vehicle body, and at least for the vehicle-to-vehicle communication a vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna that transmits at least radio waves in the forward direction of the antenna-equipped lean vehicle;
The vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna is attached to the lean vehicle body so as to form at least a portion of the front inclined surface of the non-metallic front cover in front of the front end of the seat and above the upper end of the lean wheel. provided,
The metallic substrate antenna section is embedded in a resin base material so as not to be visually recognized on the front inclined surface of the non-metallic front cover.
The non-metallic front cover is visible in the rear direction and has no obstacles in the front direction due to its nature of receiving the wind from the front during running. Therefore, the vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna is provided in front of the front end of the seat so as to form at least a part of the front inclined surface of the non-metallic front cover, thereby reducing the influence of the lean vehicle body on transmission and reception performance.
A vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna is also provided on the non-metallic front cover above the top of the lean wheel. That is, the vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna is arranged at a relatively high position near the center in the vehicle width direction. Therefore, it is difficult for the height of the vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna to decrease when turning, and a change in the height of the vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna between the straight running state and the turning state can be suppressed.
Further, the metallic substrate antenna section is embedded in the resin matrix so as not to be visible on the front inclined surface of the non-metallic front cover. Therefore, the running wind can smoothly flow along the front inclined surface (outer surface) of the non-metallic front cover without being affected by the metallic substrate antenna portion. The air resistance against running wind can be reduced while good transmission/reception performance is obtained.
Furthermore, the metallic substrate antenna section is embedded in the resin base material. Due to the short wavelength, the performance of inter-vehicle communication can be obtained even if the area of the metallic substrate antenna is small. As a result, while satisfying the performance of the vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna and the degree of freedom in designing the front inclined surface of the non-metallic front cover, the metal substrate antenna portion is formed into the non-metallic front cover by the resin matrix. Can be molded into material. As a result, it is possible to improve the utilization efficiency of the internal space inside the front cover.
Therefore, according to the configuration (1), it is possible to increase the degree of freedom in designing the front inclined surface of the front cover and improve the utilization efficiency of the internal space inside the front cover while ensuring the communication performance of the vehicle-to-vehicle communication.
(2) The lean vehicle equipped with an inter-vehicle communication antenna of (1),
The vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna includes an antenna wire electrically connected to the metal substrate antenna section,
The antenna wire extends from the rear surface of the vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna to the interior space within the non-metallic front cover.
According to the configuration (2), it is possible to easily attach the vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna.
A lean vehicle is a vehicle that turns in a lean attitude. A lean vehicle is configured to lean inward of a curve when turning. Lean vehicles include, for example, straddle-type vehicles configured to lean toward the inside of a curve when turning. Examples of such vehicles include motorcycles and tricycles. The motor tricycle may be a front two-wheel type or a rear two-wheel type. A lean vehicle has, for example, a bar-shaped steering handle (bar handle).
In one vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna-mounted lean vehicle, the vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna is provided on the non-metallic front cover as a member forming the front slope of the non-metallic front cover, for example. The number of vehicle-to-vehicle communication antennas forming the front inclined surface of the non-metallic front cover may be one or a plurality of them. One or more vehicle-to-vehicle communication antennas may be provided at one or more positions other than the position forming the front inclined surface of the non-metallic front cover. That is, one vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna-equipped lean vehicle may have a plurality of vehicle-to-vehicle communication antennas. For example, the vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna may be provided not only on the nonmetallic front cover but also on the rear portion of the lean vehicle equipped with the vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna.
In one lean vehicle equipped with an inter-vehicle communication antenna, the metal substrate antenna section is provided in the inter-vehicle communication antenna. The number of metal substrate antenna portions provided in the vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna may be one or may be plural. A metal substrate antenna portion that is not provided in the vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna may be provided in the lean vehicle equipped with the vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna. That is, one vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna mounted lean vehicle may include a plurality of metal substrate antenna units.
When a plurality of metal substrate antenna units are provided in one vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna-equipped lean vehicle, the plurality of metal substrate antenna units have the same or different radiation characteristics. Antenna radiation characteristics include both radiation pattern and reception sensitivity. That is, the radiation characteristics of an antenna include transmission/reception performance, which is both transmission performance and reception performance.
The vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna has a metal substrate antenna section. The vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna may be directional or omnidirectional. An omnidirectional antenna is an antenna that has no directivity and has substantially uniform radiation intensity in all directions about the antenna in a plane passing through the antenna. The directivity of the omnidirectional vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna in the vehicle vertical direction is not particularly limited. In addition, a directional antenna is an antenna that has directivity, and is not uniform in all directions around the antenna in any plane passing through the antenna, but has strong radiation in a specific direction around the antenna. It is an antenna with strength. The vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna may be an antenna for performing vehicle-to-vehicle communication and road-to-vehicle communication. The vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna may be an antenna for road-to-vehicle communication.
The non-metallic front cover constitutes at least part of a portion that can be visually recognized when the lean vehicle equipped with the vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna is viewed from the front, and is configured to receive running wind flowing from the front to the rear. there is The non-metallic front cover has a portion that covers or surrounds the head pipe. However, the nonmetallic front cover is not limited to this portion. When a lean vehicle equipped with an inter-vehicle communication antenna has a windshield, the windshield corresponds to an example of a non-metallic front cover.
The tilt angle indicates how much the plane or line of interest is tilted from the vertical line. The tilt angle is defined as the angle made with the vertical line. The smaller the inclination angle of a plane or line, the smaller the inclination of the plane or line, and the closer the plane or line is to vertical. The greater the inclination angle of a plane or line, the greater the inclination of the plane or line, and the closer the plane or line is to the horizontal.

A non-metallic
The vehicle-to-

With reference to FIGS. 3A and 3B, the radio wave radiation area of the vehicle-to-
FIG. 3A shows the radio wave radiation area in the vehicle width direction of the vehicle-to-
On the other hand, FIG. 3B shows the radio wave radiation area in the vehicle width direction of the vehicle-to-
Further, the traveling direction upper left edge L3 of the radio wave radiation area in the vehicle width direction of the vehicle-to-
Therefore, even when the vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna mounted
Therefore, even when the lean vehicle 1 equipped with an inter-vehicle communication antenna leans to the left or right while turning, the vehicle is in the same state as straight ahead with vehicles existing in the front, left and right areas of the lean vehicle. Vehicle-to-vehicle communication can be performed.
The vehicle-to-
In the nonmetallic
In the front view shown in FIG. 2( b ), the metal
The metal
In a side view of the vehicle-to-vehicle communication antenna-equipped
In the above-described embodiment, the
