Description
The present invention relates to a method for cutting metal members.
In the demolition work and repair work of an existing structure, it is common to proceed with work while separating members from each other by removing bolts that connect the members. However, if the thread of the bolt is worn or crushed, or if the head of the bolt is damaged or deformed, the bolt cannot be removed. Moreover, when members of an existing structure are joined together via rivets, or when dividing reinforced concrete members, it is necessary to cut metal members such as rivets and reinforcing bars. As a method for cutting metal members (bolts, rivets, reinforcing bars, etc.), methods using fire, such as gas cutting, plasma cutting, and lance cutting, are often used. Also, a method of cutting a metal member with a cutting device using a cutter or a sander (see, for example, Patent Document 1) may be employed.
Cutting methods that use fire, such as gas cutting, cannot be used in places where flammable materials are nearby or in facilities that handle hazardous materials.
Since the cutting device disclosed in

From such a point of view, an object of the present invention is to propose a method for cutting a metal member that can be employed without being limited to the surrounding environment or construction object.
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, a method for cutting a metal member according to the present invention includes: drilling a metal member with a drill to form an injection hole in the metal member; pouring a coolant into the injection hole; and a work of applying an impact to the metal member to break it.
Such a method for cutting a metal member is a method for cutting the metal member without using fire by applying an impact to the metal member embrittled by the coolant. Therefore, metal members can be cut even in places where fire cannot be used. Moreover, even if the metal member is embedded in concrete or the like, for example, like a reinforcing bar, it is not necessary to expose the entire metal member, so workability is excellent.
When the metal member is a bolt, a rivet, or a reinforcing bar, in the drilling operation, the inner diameter is smaller than the outer diameter of the metal member in a direction crossing the axial direction of the metal member from above the metal member. forming the injection hole;
Further, in the case where the metal member is a bolt that joins the two steel plates while passing through the bolt holes of the two stacked steel plates, in the drilling operation, the metal member is bolted from the upper end of the steel plate. An injection hole is formed that is deep enough to reach the shaft of the member.
Furthermore, when the metal member is a bolt that joins the two steel plates while passing through the bolt holes of the two stacked steel plates, in the drilling operation, the abutting surfaces of the steel plates is formed to have a depth reaching the shaft portion of the metal member from the upper end of the metal member.
In addition, in the breaking operation, an impact may be applied to the upper end of the injection hole.
According to the method for cutting metal members of the present invention, it is possible to cut metal members such as bolts, rivets, and reinforcing bars without being limited to the surrounding environment or construction objects.
In this embodiment, a case of cutting a high-strength bolt (metal member) 1 in demolition work of an existing structure will be described.
A high-
As shown in FIG. 1,
In this embodiment, by cutting the

In the cooling operation, as shown in FIG.
In this embodiment, liquid nitrogen is used as the coolant. The coolant is injected into the

In this embodiment, the
According to the metal member cutting method of the present embodiment, the high-
Although the embodiments of the present invention have been described above, the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and the constituent elements described above can be modified as appropriate without departing from the scope of the present invention.
For example, in the above embodiment, the case of cutting a bolt has been described, but the member to be cut by the metal member cutting method of the present invention is not limited to a bolt. For example, it may be used for cutting reinforcing bars, cutting rivets, and the like. Further, when cutting a steel plate, a plurality of injection holes may be formed along the cut portions of the steel plate, and the coolant may be injected into these injection holes.
In the above-described embodiment, an injection hole is formed in a direction crossing the axial direction of the rod-shaped metal member (shaft portion 11), and the coolant is injected into this injection hole. You may form so that a direction may be followed.
