Description
(1) 電気生理学的カテーテルであって、

3D弧状形態を有する遠位アセンブリであって、前記遠位アセンブリは、前記収縮ワイヤの長手方向移動に反応して、中立構成と収縮構成との間で移動可能であり、前記遠位アセンブリは、
前記3D弧状形態を提供する支持部材であって、前記3D弧状形態は、エルボ接合部と、遠位部分と、を有し、前記エルボ接合部は、少なくとも近位直径によって画定され、前記遠位部分は、遠位直径によって画定される、支持部材と、
前記支持部材及び前記収縮ワイヤの同延部分を周方向に囲む半径方向収縮性管と、を有し、
前記中立構成の場合、前記近位直径は、前記遠位直径よりも小さく、前記収縮構成の場合、前記遠位直径は、前記遠位直径よりもほぼ小さい直径まで減少させられる、遠位アセンブリと、
を有する、電気生理学的カテーテル。
(19) 前記3D弧状形態は、内周を画定し、前記遠位アセンブリは、前記内周に最も近いルーメンを含む複数のルーメンを有する管を含み、前記支持部材と前記収縮ワイヤとは、前記内周に最も近い前記ルーメン内で同延である、実施態様18に記載の電気生理学的カテーテル。
(20) 前記支持部材は、略矩形断面を有し、前記支持部材は、遠位部分を有し、前記略矩形断面の幅寸法及び高さ寸法は、前記遠位部分の長さに沿って変化する、実施態様19に記載の電気生理学的カテーテル。
Claims (6)
- 電気生理学的カテーテルであって、
細長いカテーテル本体と、
収縮ワイヤと、
前記収縮ワイヤの作動によって収縮するように構成された遠位アセンブリであって、前記遠位アセンブリは、遠位半径によって画定された遠位部分を有する3D構成を有する形状記憶支持部材を有し、
前記遠位アセンブリは、無拘束の場合において渦巻状螺旋構成を有し、
前記形状記憶支持部材は、幅及び高さによって画定された略矩形断面を有し、前記略矩形断面は、前記遠位部分においてテーパ状にされていることにより、前記遠位部分の遠位場所は、より大きい高さ及びより小さい幅を有し、前記遠位部分の近位場所は、より小さい高さ及びより大きい幅を有し、前記形状記憶支持部材は、その近位側において円形断面形状から始まり、遠位側に向かうにつれて次第に平坦化されて高さ寸法が増大する内側表面及び外側表面と、遠位側に向かうにつれて次第に前記テーパ状になり略矩形断面の幅寸法を画定する2つの対向する縁部と、を有し、前記2つの対向する縁部は、元の円形断面形状のうちの残された円形形状を担持し、
前記内側表面は、それの長さに沿って、前記渦巻状螺旋構成の内周に連続的に面し、前記外側表面は、前記渦巻状螺旋構成の内周から離れる方に外向きに連続的に向いている、遠位アセンブリと、
を備える、電気生理学的カテーテル。 - 前記形状記憶支持部材は、前記3D構成の内周に面する内側面を有し、前記遠位アセンブリを通って延在する前記収縮ワイヤの同延部分は、前記内側面と位置合わせされている、請求項1に記載の電気生理学的カテーテル。
- 前記遠位アセンブリは、前記形状記憶支持部材及び前記収縮ワイヤの前記形状記憶支持部材との同延部分を囲む半径方向収縮性スリーブを含む、請求項1に記載の電気生理学的カテーテル。
- 前記遠位アセンブリは、前記形状記憶支持部材及び前記収縮ワイヤの遠位端部のレーザ溶接結合を含み、前記形状記憶支持部材の前記遠位端部は、前記略矩形断面とは異なる断面を有する、請求項1に記載の電気生理学的カテーテル。
- 前記遠位アセンブリは、複数の環状電極を担持する、請求項1に記載の電気生理学的カテーテル。
- 前記形状記憶支持部材は、長さに沿った任意の場所での前記略矩形断面の断面積が、その幅寸法及び高さ寸法が異なる場所で変化するけれども、一定のままである、請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の電気生理学的カテーテル。
