Claims (8)
- 複数の画素を有する表示領域を有する表示パネルと、
前記表示パネルと重なるよう設けられて前記表示領域を照明する光源部と、を備え、
前記光源部には、前記表示領域内における位置がそれぞれ異なる複数の分割ブロックが設定され、
前記複数の分割ブロックは、輝度を個別に制御可能に設けられ、
前記複数の分割ブロックは、第1条件を満たす分割ブロックと、前記第1条件とは異なる第2条件を満たす分割ブロックと、を含み、
前記第1条件は、第1方向に並ぶ複数の光源を有する光源列が2つ隣り合って並び、かつ、隣り合う2つの光源列を構成する光源が、前記第1方向に直交する第2方向に沿う同一直線上にないことであり、
前記第2条件は、2つの前記光源列が2つ隣り合って並び、かつ、隣り合う2つの光源が前記第2方向に沿う同一直線上に位置することであり、
前記第1条件を満たす1つの分割ブロックにおいて前記第2方向に隣り合う2つの光源列を構成する光源は、千鳥状に配置されている
表示装置。 - 前記複数の分割ブロックが有する光源列のうち前記第1方向に隣り合う2つの光源列を構成する光源は、前記第1方向に沿う同一直線上に位置する
請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記第1条件を満たす分割ブロックに含まれる複数の光源列の各々が有する光源同士の前記第1方向の間隔は、同じである
請求項2に記載の表示装置。 - 前記第1条件を満たす分割ブロックは、前記第2方向に並ぶ2つの矩形状の領域が接合されて形成された所定形状を有する分割ブロックを含み、
前記矩形状の領域は、前記第1方向が長手方向であり、
前記所定形状を形成する前記2つの矩形状の領域の一方は、前記第1方向の一端が、前記2つの矩形状の領域の他方よりも一端側に突出し、前記他方は、前記第1方向の他端が、前記一方よりも他端側に突出する
請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の表示装置。 - 前記第1条件を満たす1つの分割ブロックにおいて前記第2方向に隣り合う2つの光源列のうち一方の光源列が有する1つの光源は、他方の光源列において前記第1方向に隣り合う2つの光源の中間位置で前記第1方向に直交する直線上に位置する
請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の表示装置。 - 前記表示パネル、前記表示領域及び前記光源部は、前記第1方向及び前記第2方向に沿う平面形状が矩形以外の形状である
請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の表示装置。 - 前記第1条件を満たす分割ブロックが少なくとも2つあり、
前記第1条件を満たす分割ブロックの各々が有する光源の数が異なる
請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の表示装置。 - 前記第1条件を満たす分割ブロックに対して前記第1方向の両端の少なくとも一方に位置する分割ブロックが有する光源の数が、前記第1条件を満たす分割ブロックが有する光源の数よりも少ない
