Description
図3に示すように、電極体3は、複数の正極板13、負極板14、及びセパレータ15を備える。正極板13、負極板14、及びセパレータ15はそれぞれ、図3における左右方向から見て矩形状をなす。複数の正極板13及び負極板14は、セパレータ15を介して交互に積層されている。図3においては、それぞれの負極板14から延びる負極タブ17が、それらの先端側で重ね合わされて導電板部90の内面(第二面)に接合されている状態を示す。負極タブ17は、蓄電素子1のエネルギー密度を向上できるように(負極端子5と負極板14との間の電流経路による占有スペースを小さくできるように)、ケース2内に湾曲した状態で収容されている。図示していないが、正極板13から延びる正極タブ16(後述)も、負極タブ17と同様に構成されている。
