Description
(1) カテーテルであって、
近位端と遠位端とを有し、長手方向軸に沿って延在する細長いカテーテル本体と、
前記細長いカテーテル本体の前記遠位端に配置された、一片の形状記憶材料から形成された可撓性ワイヤアセンブリであって、近位端とそれぞれが遠位ハブから延出する遠位端とをそれぞれが有する複数の脊柱部材を有する、可撓性ワイヤアセンブリと、
各脊柱部材に取り付けられた複数の電極及びケーブルであって、コアに巻回されるとともにシースによって被覆された対応する複数のワイヤを有し、各電極が前記シースを通じて前記複数のワイヤの1本に取り付けられている、複数の電極及びケーブルと、を備えることにより、前記カテーテルは、前記脊柱部材が径方向外側に弓状に張り出す1つの動作状態と、前記脊柱部材が前記カテーテル本体の長手方向軸に概ね沿って配列される別の動作状態とを有する、カテーテル。
(2) 前記遠位ハブが、応力除去縁部を更に含む、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(3) 前記応力除去縁部が、スカラップ状の縁部を含む、実施態様2に記載のカテーテル。
(4) 前記応力除去縁部が、鋸歯状の縁部を含む、実施態様2に記載のカテーテル。
(5) 前記一片の形状記憶材料が、ニチノール合金のチューブを含む、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(7) 前記遠位ハブが、前記ニチノール合金のチューブの厚さに略等しい高さを有する、実施態様5に記載のカテーテル。
(8) 前記遠位ハブが、前記ニチノール合金のチューブの前記厚さの2倍に略等しい高さを有する、実施態様5に記載のカテーテル。
(9) 前記かご状電極アセンブリが、少なくとも6本の脊柱部材を備える、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(10) 前記かご状電極アセンブリが、少なくとも10本の脊柱部材を備える、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(12) 各脊柱部材が、少なくとも8個の電極を備える、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(13) 各脊柱部材が、少なくとも16個の電極を備える、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(14) 前記カテーテル本体が約10フレンチ未満の直径を有し、前記可撓性ワイヤアセンブリが少なくとも12本の脊柱部材を備え、各脊柱部材が少なくとも16個の電極を有する、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(15) 前記かご状電極アセンブリに潅注流体を供給するように構成された管腔を更に備える、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
細長いカテーテル本体を形成することと、
一片の形状記憶材料から複数の脊柱部材及び連結遠位ハブを形成することと、
前記遠位ハブの遠位端上の、前記複数の脊柱部材の反対側の位置に応力除去縁部を形成することと、
該可撓性ワイヤアセンブリを加熱してかご状の配置をヒートセットすることと、
複数の電極及びケーブルを前記複数の脊柱部材のそれぞれと接続してかご状電極アセンブリを形成することと、
前記かご状電極アセンブリを前記細長いカテーテル本体の遠位端に接続することと、を含む方法。
(17) 前記一片の形状記憶材料が、ニチノール合金のチューブを含む、実施態様16に記載の方法。
(18) 前記一片の形状記憶材料が、ニチノール合金のシートを含む、実施態様16に記載の方法。
(19) 前記遠位ハブが、前記ニチノール合金のチューブの厚さに略等しい高さを有する、実施態様17に記載の方法。
(20) 前記応力除去縁部が、スカラップ状の縁部である、実施態様16に記載の方法。
Claims (18)
- カテーテルであって、
近位端と遠位端とを有し、長手方向軸に沿って延在する細長いカテーテル本体と、
前記細長いカテーテル本体の前記遠位端に配置された、一片の形状記憶材料から形成された可撓性ワイヤアセンブリであって、近位端とそれぞれが遠位ハブから延出する遠位端とをそれぞれが有する複数の脊柱部材を有し、前記遠位ハブは応力除去縁部を含み、前記応力除去縁部は前記可撓性ワイヤアセンブリの送達状態の配置から展開状態の配置への動きを促進するための成形縁部を有し、前記脊柱部材が拡張するにしたがって、前記遠位ハブの前記遠位端の前記成形縁部が内側に移動することにより、前記遠位ハブの内径の大きさが小さくなる、可撓性ワイヤアセンブリと、
各脊柱部材に取り付けられた複数の電極及びケーブルであって、コアに巻回されるとともにシースによって被覆された対応する複数のワイヤを有し、各電極が前記シースを通じて前記複数のワイヤの1本に取り付けられている、複数の電極及びケーブルと、を備えることにより、前記カテーテルは、前記可撓性ワイヤアセンブリの前記展開状態の配置に対応しており、前記脊柱部材が径方向外側に弓状に張り出す1つの動作状態と、前記可撓性ワイヤアセンブリの前記送達状態の配置に対応しており、前記脊柱部材が前記カテーテル本体の前記長手方向軸に概ね沿って配列される別の動作状態とを有する、カテーテル。 - 前記応力除去縁部は前記遠位ハブの遠位部分に含まれ、
前記遠位ハブが、前記遠位ハブの近位部分に含まれる第2の応力除去縁部を更に含み、
前記可撓性ワイヤアセンブリが前記送達状態の配置から前記展開状態の配置へと移行するにつれて、前記遠位ハブの前記近位部分が展開状態の前記遠位ハブの外径となり、
前記脊柱部材が拡張し、前記遠位ハブの内径が小さくなるにつれて、前記遠位ハブの前記近位部分の外径は大きくなる、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。 - 前記応力除去縁部が、スカラップ状の縁部を含む、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。

細長いカテーテル本体を形成することと、
一片の形状記憶材料から複数の脊柱部材及び連結遠位ハブを形成し、各々の脊柱部材が近位端および遠位端を有し、前記遠位端は前記連結遠位ハブから延設することと、
前記連結遠位ハブの遠位端上の、前記複数の脊柱部材の反対側の位置に、前記連結遠位ハブの前記遠位端から材料を除去することにより、応力除去縁部を形成することと、
該複数の脊柱部材を加熱してかご状の配置をヒートセットすることと、
複数の電極及びケーブルを前記複数の脊柱部材のそれぞれと接続してかご状電極アセンブリを形成することと、
前記かご状電極アセンブリを前記細長いカテーテル本体の遠位端に接続することと、を含み、
前記カテーテルは、前記脊柱部材が、前記脊柱部材の前記遠位端から半径方向に弓状に拡張する第一の作用状態と前記カテーテル本体の長さ方向の軸に沿って前記脊柱部材が配置される第二の作用状態とを有し、
前記脊柱部材が前記第二の作用状態から前記第一の作用状態と移行し、前記連結遠位ハブの前記遠位端の前記応力除去縁部が内側に移動することにより、前記連結遠位ハブの内径の大きさが小さくなる、方法。 - 前記一片の形状記憶材料が、ニチノール合金のチューブを含む、請求項14に記載の方法。
