Description
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a glass article and an apparatus for manufacturing a glass article to obtain a glass article by cutting a glass tube.
For example, in the method for manufacturing a glass article disclosed in Patent Document 1, in a transport process in which a glass tube having both ends in the axial direction is transported in the direction orthogonal to the axis by the transport portion, for example, the axial end portion of the glass tube is transferred. A desired glass article is obtained by cutting with a cutting jig and then performing a post-process such as mouth-burning of the cut surface of the glass tube.
In the above-mentioned method for manufacturing a glass article, if the glass tube cannot be cut with a cutting jig, the subsequent process is affected. Therefore, there is still room for improvement in this respect.
The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a glass article and an apparatus for producing a glass article, which can suppress the occurrence of cutting defects.
The method for manufacturing a glass article that solves the above problems is a method for manufacturing a glass article that obtains a glass article by cutting a glass tube having both ends in the axial direction, and is in a transport process in which the glass tube is transported by a transport section. A cutting step of cutting the glass tube with a cutting jig, and at least one end in the axial direction of the glass tube being transported by the transporting portion after the cutting step and which has not been cut in the cutting step. It is provided with a displacement step of giving an impact to the glass tube by displaced the side along the vertical direction with a displacement jig.
According to the above aspect, in the displacement step after the cutting step, at least one end side in the axial direction of the glass tube is displaced along the vertical direction by a displacement jig to give an impact containing a vertical component to the glass tube. As a result, when the glass tube cannot be completely cut in the cutting process, the cracks that did not reach the cutting in the cutting process can be extended by the impact in the displacement process to cut the planned cutting site, resulting in cutting defects. Can be suppressed.
In the displacement step of the method for manufacturing a glass article, the glass tube is mounted on the displacement jig arranged in the transport path of the glass tube, and then the glass tube is dropped onto the transport portion by its own weight. ..
According to the above aspect, it is possible to cut a portion that cannot be completely cut by the cutting jig due to the impact when the glass tube that rides on the displacement jig is dropped onto the transport portion. Therefore, it is possible to suppress the occurrence of cutting defects of the glass tube by a simple configuration in which the displacement jig is simply arranged in the transport path of the glass tube.
In the method for manufacturing a glass article, at least the upstream end portion of the upper surface of the displacement jig in the glass tube transport direction is provided with an inclined surface that inclines upward in the vertical direction toward the glass tube transport direction.
According to the above aspect, since the inclined surface guides the glass tube to ride on the displacement jig, the glass tube can be smoothly mounted on the displacement jig, and as a result, the influence on the transportation of the glass tube. The displacement process can be performed while suppressing the pressure.
In the method for manufacturing a glass article, the transport unit includes a plurality of rollers arranged side by side in the glass tube transport direction and having rotation axes parallel to each other, and the adjacent rollers partially overlap each other when viewed from the roller axis direction. The glass tubes are held in the valleys of the overlapping rollers, and each roller moves in the glass tube transport direction to transport the glass tubes. The apex position of the tool is set between the lower end position of the valley portion between the rollers and the apex position of the roller.
According to the above aspect, the glass tube held and conveyed in the valley portion between the rollers can be suitably mounted on the displacement jig.
In the method for manufacturing a glass article, the transport unit includes a pair of conveyors that transport the glass tube in the direction orthogonal to the axis while supporting one end side and the other end side of the glass tube in the axial direction, respectively, for the displacement. The jig is provided only on one end side in the axial direction of the glass tube, and the other end in the axial direction of the glass tube is provided with one end side in the axial direction of the glass tube riding on the displacement jig. The side is on the conveyor.
According to the above aspect, only one end side of the glass tube is mounted on the displacement jig, and the other end side of the glass tube is maintained on the conveyor. The glass tube can be displaced along the vertical direction on the side.
In the cutting step of the method for manufacturing a glass article, the glass tube is cut with the cutting jig by a chill cut utilizing thermal strain.
According to the above aspect, in cutting a glass tube using a chill cut utilizing thermal strain, cutting defects that cannot be completely cut are likely to occur depending on the shape of the glass tube to be cut (particularly, large-diameter, thin-walled glass). Since cutting defects are likely to occur in the tube), the effect of suppressing cutting defects can be remarkably obtained by providing the above displacement step.
In the displacement step of the method for manufacturing a glass article, the displacement jig in contact with the glass tube is subjected to ultrasonic vibration containing at least a vertical component.
According to the above aspect, the glass tube can be displaced along the vertical direction by ultrasonic vibration, whereby the portion that could not be cut by the cutting jig can be cut.
In the method for manufacturing a glass article, a determination unit for determining whether or not the glass tube has been cut in the cutting step is used, and when the determination unit determines that the glass tube has not been cut, the glass tube is used. On the other hand, the displacement step is performed.
According to the above aspect, it is possible to perform the displacement step only on the glass tube that could not be completely cut in the cutting step without causing the displacement step on the appropriately cut glass tube.
In the cutting step of the method for manufacturing a glass article, the cutting jig is ultrasonically vibrated.
According to the above aspect, by ultrasonically vibrating the cutting jig for cutting the glass tube, it is possible to more preferably suppress the occurrence of cutting defects of the glass tube.
The glass article manufacturing apparatus that solves the above problems is the glass article manufacturing apparatus used in the glass article manufacturing method, and is a transport unit that conveys a glass tube having both ends in the axial direction, and the glass tube. A cutting jig provided in the transport path for cutting the glass tube, and a glass tube provided in the transport path of the glass tube on the downstream side of the cutting jig and being transported by the transport portion. It is provided with a displacement jig that displaces at least one end side in the axial direction along the vertical direction.
According to the method for producing a glass article and the apparatus for producing a glass article of the present invention, the occurrence of cutting defects can be suppressed.
Hereinafter, a method for manufacturing a glass article and an embodiment of an apparatus for manufacturing a glass article will be described with reference to the drawings. In the drawings, for convenience of explanation, a part of the configuration may be exaggerated or simplified. In addition, the dimensional ratio of each part may differ from the actual one.
First, the apparatus for manufacturing a glass article of the present embodiment will be described.
The glass
As shown in FIG. 2, the
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, each
The pair of
Each
As shown in FIG. 2, a
As shown in FIG. 3A, the
Next, the method of manufacturing the glass article will be described together with the operation of the glass
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the glass tube G carried from the previous process is placed in the
In the transfer process by the
After the cutting step, a displacement step of giving an impact to the glass tube G by displacing one end side in the axial direction of the glass tube G being conveyed by the
At this time, as shown in FIG. 3A, one end side of the glass tube G in the axial direction is separated from at least one of the
The glass tube G that has undergone the displacement process is transported to the downstream side, and for example, mouth-burning, which is the finishing process of the end portion after cutting, pass / fail selection such as whether the total length is the specified length, packing for shipping, etc. Post-processes such as post-processes are carried out. This gives a tubular glass article.
The operation of this embodiment will be described.
In the cutting step using the above chill cut, if the crack does not extend to the entire circumference of the planned cutting portion Cp of the glass tube G, the displacement step is performed with the planned cutting portion Cp not being cut. Then, in the displacement step, one end side (
In the displacement process, in order to bring the glass tube G into contact with the
The effect of this embodiment will be described.
(1) The method for manufacturing a glass article of the present embodiment includes a cutting step of cutting the glass tube G with a
(2) In the displacement step, after the glass tube G is mounted on the
(3) On the upper surface of the
(4) The
(5) The
(6) In the cutting step, the glass tube G is cut by a chill cut utilizing thermal strain. When cutting a glass tube G using a chill cut that utilizes thermal strain, cutting defects that cannot be completely cut are likely to occur depending on the shape of the glass tube G to be cut (particularly, cutting with a large-diameter, thin-walled glass tube G). Since defects are likely to occur), the effect of suppressing cutting defects can be remarkably obtained by carrying out the above displacement step.
This embodiment can be modified and implemented as follows. The present embodiment and the following modified examples can be implemented in combination with each other within a technically consistent range.
As shown in FIG. 4, an ultrasonic vibrating

Further, in the example shown in FIG. 4, it is determined whether or not the glass tube G has been cut in the cutting step, for example, based on information from an imaging device (not shown) that images the end of the glass tube G after the cutting step. When the
In the displacement step using the
-In the cutting step, a cutting method other than chill cutting, such as heat fusing, may be used to cut the planned cutting portion Cp of the glass tube G.

-In the above embodiment, the vicinity of both ends of the glass tube G is cut in the cutting step, but the present invention is not limited to this. For example, in the cutting step, only one end side of the glass tube G is cut, or the shaft of the glass tube G. It may be a mode in which one part of the central portion in the direction is cut.
