Description
本発明は、積層造形用粉体に関する。 The present invention relates to a powder for laminated molding.
Conventionally, powder materials are bonded with a binder to form a powder solidifying layer having a predetermined cross-sectional shape, and the powder solidifying layers are sequentially laminated to form a shaped object having a desired three-dimensional shape. Additive manufacturing (also called three-dimensional modeling) is known. In this additional manufacturing, modeling of a resin product using a resin material is widely performed because of its ease of handling. However, in addition molding of powder materials (powder additive manufacturing), powder materials made of ceramic materials that are difficult to be precision processed after molding are also widely used (see, for example,
When combining the powder materials, the inkjet method that locally ejects the binder liquid from the binder supply head to the target position on the powder material housed in the molding tank, or the binder is integrated with the powder material in advance. There is known a thermal melting method in which a binder in a powder material is locally softened or melted and then solidified. In the former case, a powder made of a desired material can be used as a modeling material. On the other hand, as the powder for laminated molding used for the latter laminated molding by the hot melting method, a powder coated with a binder resin is typically used.
By the way, a three-dimensional modeling apparatus for powder laminated modeling is typically a powder material tank for storing powder materials, a modeling tank for which powder materials are supplied and modeling is performed, and transfer of powder materials. And a roller for flattening. Then, each time a predetermined solidified powder layer is formed, the powder extruded from the powder material tank is sent to the molding tank by a roller, and the surface thereof is flattened. According to the study by the inventors, when ceramic powder coated with binder resin is used as a molding material, when the powder is transferred by a roller, the particles are rubbed against each other, and static electricity is generated in the coated resin. It may accumulate and reduce the fluidity of the powder. Such a decrease in fluidity may lead to a decrease in the packing density (light bulk density) of the powder, which may be a factor in reducing the strength of the modeled object. In addition, the powder material becomes lumpy during the roller transfer, which may cause streaks on the surface of the powder material after being leveled along the moving direction of the rollers.

<Powder for laminated modeling>
The powder for laminated molding according to a preferred embodiment of the technique disclosed herein is a powder for laminated molding for forming a laminated model. The additive manufacturing may be various types of powder additive manufacturing in which a powder material is used as the modeling material. In a preferred embodiment of the laminated molding powder disclosed herein, since the ceramic particle component having a thermoplastic resin coating layer on at least a part of the surface is mainly contained, the resin coating is applied by supplying thermal energy. It can be particularly preferably used for a type of laminated molding that softens or melts to realize the bonding of powders. Specifically, it can be preferably applied to laminating molding by a powder bed fusion method or the like. In addition, in this specification, "ceramics" means a non-metallic inorganic material.

In this specification, the "average particle size" for the large particle component, the medium particle component, and the small particle component means the average value of the particle sizes of a plurality of particles contained in each ceramic particle component. That is, the average particle size is a value indicating the average particle shape of each particle component. The average particle size can be determined by, for example, micro-Raman spectroscopy. As a specific procedure, for example, using a particle image analysis / Raman spectroscopic analyzer (for example, Moforogi G3-ID manufactured by Malvern (Spectris Co., Ltd.)), each ceramic particle contained in the laminated molding powder to be measured is used. The Raman spectrum is measured, and each particle is separated into a large particle component, a medium particle component, and a small particle component from the component analysis based on the obtained peak. Here, in the microscopic Raman spectroscopic measurement, since the surface and internal components of the solid particles can be analyzed, it is possible to determine whether or not the surface of each particle is coated with a thermoplastic resin. Then, the diameter (circle area) of an ideal circle (perfect circle) having an area equal to the projected area of a predetermined number (for example, 1000 to 5000) of particle images for each of the separated large particle component, medium particle component, and small particle component. The equivalent particle size) is calculated as the particle size of each particle, and the average particle size (D 50 : number average particle size) for each particle component can be obtained by arithmetically averaging the particle size of the predetermined number of particles. .. The particle size and average particle size of each particle can be determined by using general image analysis software.

The above thermoplastic resin is preferably a crystalline thermoplastic resin rather than an amorphous resin in consideration of formability. The crystalline resin referred to here is a resin having a glass transition temperature and a melting point (melting temperature). The glass transition temperature and melting point of the thermoplastic resin are not particularly limited, but for example, the glass transition temperature of the thermoplastic resin is preferably 30 ° C. or lower, more preferably 20 ° C. or lower, and particularly preferably 10 ° C. or lower. For example, the glass transition temperature may be 0 ° C. or lower. The melting point of the thermoplastic resin is, for example, preferably 40 ° C. or higher, preferably 50 ° C. or higher, and can be set, for example, about 60 ° C. as a guide. The upper limit of the melting point of the thermoplastic resin is not particularly limited, but can be, for example, 200 ° C. or lower (typically 100 ° C. or lower). As the glass transition temperature and melting point of the thermoplastic resin, values measured according to JIS K7121: 1987 (method for measuring transition temperature of plastic) can be adopted.
The thermoplastic resin is not necessarily limited to this, but is preferably a resin having a crystallinity of 20% or more, more preferably 25% or more, and preferably 30% or more. Especially preferable. The crystallinity is the crystallinity that occupies the entire crystal part when the resin molecules in the amorphous state are regularly arranged to form a crystal part in the process of cooling and solidifying the thermoplastic resin in the molten state. It is a ratio. Here, for the crystallinity, for example, a value calculated by the following formula can be adopted based on the result of differential scanning calorimetry.
Crystallinity = (ΔH melting obs − ΔH crystallization obs ) / ΔH melting (100% crystal)
Here, in the formula, ΔH melting obs is the melting energy absorbed during melting, ΔH crystallization obs is the heat generated during crystallization, and ΔH melting (100% crystal) is the heat of fusion of 100% crystal. Is shown.

The hydrophobic silica has a surface of silica, for example, a silane such as dimethyldichlorosilane, hexamethyldisilazane, and octylsilane, a silane coupling agent such as vinyltrimethoxysilane, dimethylpolysiloxane, methylhydrogenpolysiloxane, and a fatty acid. It may be obtained by treating with a hydrophobic agent such as. In this way, the

<Manufacturing method of powder for laminated molding>
The method for preparing the
First, the ceramic particle powder constituting the
At the time of crushing, it is not preferable to adopt a crushing method that generates heat due to friction or the like because the thermoplastic resin can be resoftened again and integrated again. Therefore, it is preferable to adopt a pulverization method capable of suppressing heat generation for pulverization. For example, as an example, it is preferable to perform pulverization by a pulverizer having a cooling function for cooling the object to be pulverized. Such a cooling function may be various types that realize cooling by circulation or contact of a liquid or gas refrigerant. A preferred embodiment includes a pulverizer having an airflow type cooling function. This makes it possible to obtain ceramic particles in which at least a part of the surface is coated with a plastic resin.

<Laminate modeling>
The
積層造形物の造形に際しては、典型的には、下記の工程1〜3を繰り返すことで、粉体固化層を順次積み重ねながら造形して積層造形物を造形する。
工程1:積層造形用粉体を造形槽に層状に供給して粉体層を用意する。
工程2:粉体層の少なくとも一部に熱エネルギーを供給し、粉体固化層を形成する。
工程3:造形槽中の粉体固化層を前記粉体層の厚さの分だけ移動させる。
In modeling the laminated model, typically, the following
Step 1: The powder for laminated molding is supplied to the molding tank in a layered manner to prepare a powder layer.
Step 2: Heat energy is supplied to at least a part of the powder layer to form a powder solidified layer.
Step 3: The powder solidifying layer in the modeling tank is moved by the thickness of the powder layer.
In the
In the above step 2, heat energy is supplied to the portion to be solidified (that is, the one-section layer portion of the modeled object based on the slice data) in the layered
In step 3, the bottom of the modeling tank is moved downward. This amount of movement corresponds to the thickness of the powder layer described above, thereby forming a new modeling area in the storage tank. Then, the process returns to step 1 to supply the
According to the technique disclosed here, since the aggregation of the

<Preparation of powder for laminated modeling>
(Examples 1 to 3)
500 g of ceramic powder and 50 g of thermoplastic resin are kneaded using a tabletop heating type kneader (manufactured by Irie Shokai Co., Ltd., PNV-1H) while heating at 100 ° C. to form ceramic powder. The surface of the particles was coated with a thermoplastic resin. As the ceramic powder, a mixture of zircon and silica was used. When the particle size distribution of this ceramic powder was measured with a laser diffraction / scattering type particle size distribution measuring device (LA-920 manufactured by HORIBA, Ltd.), the volume-based 10% particle size was 7.8 μm, and the 50% particle size was 50%. The particle size was 36.0 μm and 90% particle size was 80.2 μm. As the thermoplastic resin, PEG having a glass transition temperature of −10 ° C., a softening point of 60 ° C., and a weight average molecular weight of 5000 was used.
得られた混練物を押出成形機により100℃で加熱しつつ所定寸法で切断しながら押出すことで、直径が2mmで長さが約2mm程度の円筒形ペレット状に成形した。その後、得られたペレットを、熱可塑性樹脂用の解砕器((株)マツボー製、サイクロンミル150BMS)にて粉砕して、平均粒径D501が約26.9μmの熱可塑性樹脂被覆セラミックス粒子粉末(大粒子成分)を得た。 The obtained kneaded product was extruded while being heated at 100 ° C. by an extrusion molding machine and cut to a predetermined size to form a cylindrical pellet having a diameter of 2 mm and a length of about 2 mm. Then, the obtained pellets were pulverized with a crusher for thermoplastic resin (Cyclone Mill 150BMS manufactured by Matsubo Co., Ltd.), and the thermoplastic resin-coated ceramics having an average particle size D 50 1 of about 26.9 μm. Particle powder (large particle component) was obtained.
The thermoplastic resin-coated ceramic particle powder (large particle component) thus obtained was placed in a 500 mL plastic container, and the zircon particle powder (medium particle component) having an average particle size D 50 2 of 13.7 μm and an average particle size D 50 Silica fine particle powder (small particle component) having a size of 0.014 μm was added, and the mixture was mixed for 60 minutes using a ball mill (without using balls). As a result, the powders for laminated molding of Examples 1 to 3 were obtained. Table 1 summarizes the particle size distributions (D10, D50, D90) of the large particle component, the medium particle component, and the small particle component for the laminated molding powder according to Examples 1 to 3. The particle size distributions of the large particle component, the medium particle component, and the small particle component of each example were obtained according to the above-mentioned method based on Raman spectroscopy.

(Examples 4 to 8)
In Example 4, a powder for laminated molding was obtained in the same procedure as in Examples 1 to 3 except that the zircon particle powder (medium particle component) and the silica fine particle powder (small particle component) were not added. In Examples 5 to 8, a powder for laminated molding was obtained in the same procedure as in Examples 1 to 3 except that the zircon particle powder (medium particle component) was not added. Table 2 summarizes the addition amounts of zircon particle powder (medium particle component) and silica fine particle powder (small particle component) for the laminated molding powder according to each example. Here, the ratio is shown when the content of the thermoplastic resin-coated ceramic particle powder (large particle component) is 100%.
A laminated model was formed using the powder for laminated modeling of each example. Specifically, using Laforero 300, a laminated modeling device manufactured by Aspect Co., Ltd., laminated modeling was performed with a lamination pitch of 0.2 mm and a laser power of 5 W to create a bar-shaped object of 50 mm × 10 mm × 4 mm. Then, it was visually confirmed whether or not streaks were generated on the surface of the powder by leveling with a roller during molding. The results are shown in the "Recoat" column of Table 2. Here, "○" is for those with no streaks at all, "△" is for those with slight streaks at a level that does not interfere with modeling, and those with streaks at a level that interferes with modeling. Is indicated by "x". In addition, using the three-point bending tester EZ-TEST (EZ-SX) manufactured by Shimadzu Corporation, the three-point bending strength before and after firing the modeled object of each example at 1220 ° C. for 2 hours was measured at intervals of 30 mm. did. The results are shown in Table 2.
As shown in Tables 1 and 2, the laminated molding powder of Example 4 containing only large particle components having an average particle size D 50 1 of 20 μm or more was leveled with a roller when subjected to laminated molding. It was confirmed that streaks are likely to occur on the surface of the powder. On the other hand, the powder by about layered manufacturing for powder examples 1~3,6~8 the average particle diameter D 50 3 was added the following small particle component 0.5μm to the large particle component, leveling of a roller No streaks were generated on the surface of the powder, and it was confirmed that the powder had properties suitable for laminated molding. Further, comparing Examples 1 to 3 and 6 to 8, in Examples 1 to 3 in which the small particle component and the medium particle component were added to the large particle component, Examples 6 to 8 in which only the small particle component was added to the large particle component In comparison, better results were obtained with the three-point bending strength before and after firing. Since the powders for laminated molding of Examples 1 to 3 have good fluidity, it is considered that the filling density of the powder is increased during the laminated molding and the mechanical strength of the modeled object is improved. From this result, it was confirmed that a higher-strength modeled product can be produced by using the laminated modeling powder in which the small particle component and the medium particle component are added to the large particle component.
