Description
The present disclosure relates to gas sensors.
As a gas sensor that detects hydrogen gas, a gas sensor that is not affected by moisture (that is, humidity) is known (see Patent Document 1). In the gas sensor of
As a result, the humidity conditions of the pair of gas detection elements become the same, so that the gas sensor of
The film body has a property of not allowing hydrogen gas to permeate, but cannot completely block the permeation of hydrogen gas. Therefore, when the concentration of hydrogen gas in the atmosphere to be detected is extremely high, the hydrogen gas permeates the membrane and enters the space in which the gas detection element for reference is arranged. As a result, the potential difference between the reference gas detection element and the detection gas detection element becomes small, and the gas sensor inconveniences that the gas sensor outputs an output corresponding to the low concentration even in a high concentration hydrogen gas environment. Occurs.
One aspect of the present disclosure is to provide a gas sensor capable of determining a high concentration hydrogen gas environment.
One aspect of the present disclosure is a gas sensor for detecting hydrogen gas in the atmosphere to be detected. The gas sensors are connected in series so as to form one side of the bridge circuit, and the first gas detection element and the second gas detection element whose resistance value changes according to their own temperature change, and the first gas detection element are housed in the gas sensor. Detects the current flowing through the first storage unit having the first internal space, the second storage unit having the second internal space in which the second gas detection element is stored, and the first gas detection element and the second gas detection element. It is provided with a current detection unit configured as described above, and a calculation unit configured to calculate the concentration of hydrogen gas from the potential between the first gas detection element and the second gas detection element. The first storage portion communicates the first internal space with the atmosphere to be detected, and has a first gas introduction port covered with a film body of a solid polymer electrolyte. The second storage unit has a second gas introduction port that communicates the second storage unit and the detected atmosphere without passing through a film body. The calculation unit determines that the hydrogen gas has a high concentration when the current detected by the current detection unit is equal to or greater than the threshold value.
In a high-concentration hydrogen gas environment, when hydrogen gas invades into the first internal space in which the first gas detection element for reference is arranged and the hydrogen concentration in the first internal space rises, the first gas detection element The resistance becomes smaller. At the same time, the resistance of the second gas detection element exposed to high-concentration hydrogen gas also decreases. As a result, the current detected by the current detection unit increases. Therefore, according to the above configuration, when the current detected by the current detection unit is equal to or higher than a certain value, it is determined that the hydrogen gas has a high concentration. Therefore, regardless of the output of the gas sensor, a high concentration hydrogen gas environment can be obtained. It can be determined.
In one aspect of the present disclosure, the calculation unit may make a determination after a predetermined time has elapsed from the start of applying the voltage to the first gas detection element and the second gas detection element. According to such a configuration, an excessive current flowing through the first gas detection element and the second gas detection element immediately after the power is turned on can be excluded from the determination target. As a result, the accuracy of determining the high-concentration hydrogen gas environment can be improved. Further, the first gas detection element and the second gas detection element may be heat conduction type detection elements having a heat generating resistor whose resistance value changes according to its own temperature change. Oxygen may be deficient in a high concentration hydrogen gas environment. Therefore, in a contact combustion type detection element that burns hydrogen gas with a combustion catalyst such as a noble metal, the combustion reaction of hydrogen gas becomes small in a high concentration hydrogen gas environment, and the current detected by the current detection unit may become small. is there. On the other hand, if the first gas detection element and the second gas detection element are heat conduction type detection elements, the current detected by the current detector even in a high concentration hydrogen gas environment where oxygen may be deficient is It increases in proportion to the increase in hydrogen concentration. As a result, the heat conduction type detection element can accurately determine the high concentration hydrogen gas environment even in the high concentration hydrogen gas environment where oxygen is deficient.
Hereinafter, embodiments to which the present disclosure has been applied will be described with reference to the drawings.
[1. First Embodiment]
[1-1. Constitution]
The
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the
<1st gas detection element and 2nd gas detection element>
The first
As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the first
The
The
As shown in FIG. 4, a
The
The
Further, the
The insulating
Like the first
<1st storage unit and 2nd storage unit>
As shown in FIG. 2, the first storage unit 4 has a first
具体的には、例えばNafion(登録商標)、Flemion(登録商標)、Aciplex(登録商標)等が挙げられる。
The
The first
In this way, the inflow of the detected gas is regulated by the
In the present embodiment, the
The
The second storage unit 5 has a second internal space 5A and a second
The second
The first
Further, the first

The protective cap 8 is adhered to the
The protective cap 8 is provided with a first
The material of the protective cap 8 is an insulating ceramic. Suitable insulating ceramics constituting the protective cap 8 include, for example, alumina. As described above, in the present embodiment, the
The

Specifically, the first storage unit 4 and the second storage unit 5 (that is, the
Further, the

The
The
<演算部>
<Calculation unit>
The
More specifically, the
A current is supplied to the
Further, the
The threshold value A0 is a value determined in advance based on the specifications of the
When the
Further, the
[1-2. processing]
Hereinafter, the process executed by the
The
Next, the
When t0 <t1 (S20: NO), the
After that, the
The
On the other hand, when A0> A1 (S50: NO), the
That is, when the current detection voltage A1 is equal to or higher than the threshold value A0, the
However, instead of setting the hydrogen gas concentration D to the upper limit value, the
After outputting the hydrogen gas concentration D in step S70, the
