Description

Claims (18)
- 近位領域と、ネック領域と、平面内に配置される少なくとも部分的なループになるように構成された遠位領域と、を有するカテーテル本体と、
前記遠位領域に配置された1又は複数の電極と、
前記近位領域に接合され、アクチュエータを含むハンドルと、
前記アクチュエータ及び前記遠位領域に結合される作動ワイヤであって、ユーザが前記アクチュエータを作動させたときに、前記作動ワイヤが作動されて、前記遠位領域の前記少なくとも部分的なループの半径を変化させる前記作動ワイヤと、
前記作動ワイヤが作動されたときに、前記ネックの傾きを防止する前記ネック内のチューブ状の拘束部材と、
前記ネック及び前記遠位領域の少なくとも一部を通って延在し、前記遠位領域の前記一部を前記少なくとも部分的なループに成形する形状記憶ワイヤと、
を備えており、
前記作動ワイヤ及び前記形状記憶ワイヤは、前記拘束部材内に拘束される、
カテーテル。 - 前記拘束部材は、硬質チューブを備える、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記拘束部材は、金属チューブを備える、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記拘束部材は、圧縮コイルを備える、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記拘束部材は、コイルばねを備える、請求項4に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記圧縮コイルは、0.002インチ(0.051mm)の直径を有する巻線を備える、請求項4又は5に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記拘束部材の内径は、前記作動ワイヤ及び前記形状記憶ワイヤを合わせた厚みよりも最大で0.003インチ(0.076mm)大きい、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記拘束部材の内径は、前記作動ワイヤ及び前記形状記憶ワイヤを合わせた厚みよりも最大で0.002(0.051mm)インチ大きい、請求項7に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記拘束部材は、全長を有し、
前記拘束部材の前記全長の40%が前記カテーテル本体の前記近位領域と平行に延び、前記拘束部材の前記全長の60%が前記カテーテル本体の前記遠位領域の前記平面内にある、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載のカテーテル。 - 軸に沿って延びる近位領域と、前記近位領域の前記軸に直交する平面内に配置された少なくとも部分的なループになるように構成された遠位領域と、前記近位領域と前記遠位領域の間のネック領域と、を有するカテーテル本体と、
前記遠位領域に配置された1又は複数の電極と、
前記近位領域に接合され、アクチュエータを含むハンドルと、
前記アクチュエータ及び前記遠位領域に結合される作動ワイヤであって、ユーザが前記アクチュエータを作動させたときに、前記作動ワイヤが作動されて、前記遠位領域の前記少なくとも部分的なループの半径を変化させる前記作動ワイヤと、
前記ネック領域及び前記遠位領域の少なくとも一部を通って延在し、前記遠位領域の前記一部を前記少なくとも部分的なループに成形する形状記憶ワイヤと、
前記ネック領域内の非変形性の拘束部材と、
を備え、
前記作動ワイヤ及び前記形状記憶ワイヤが、前記非変形性の拘束部材内に配置される、
カテーテル。 - 前記非変形性の拘束部材は、前記カテーテル本体の前記遠位領域が前記カテーテル本体の前記近位領域に対して、前記カテーテル本体の前記近位領域の前記軸から最大10度まで傾くことを許容する、請求項10に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記非変形性の拘束部材は、ばね鋼コイルを備える、請求項10又は11に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記非変形性の拘束部材の内径は、前記作動ワイヤ及び前記形状記憶ワイヤを合わせた厚みよりも最大で0.003インチ(0.076mm)大きい、請求項10〜12のいずれか一項に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記非変形性の拘束部材の第1の部分は、前記カテーテル本体の前記近位領域の前記軸に沿って延びており、
前記非変形性の拘束部材の第2の部分は、前記カテーテル本体の前記遠位領域の前記平面内で延びている、請求項10〜13のいずれか一項に記載のカテーテル。 - 医療機器の製造方法であって、
1又は複数の電極が配置された遠位領域、及び近位領域を有する細長の本体を形成する工程と、
前記本体の遠位領域内に形状記憶ワイヤを配置して、前記本体の前記遠位領域を前記近位領域の軸に直交する平面内に配置された少なくとも部分的なループになるように構成し、それによって、前記近位領域と前記遠位領域の間にネック領域を形成する工程と、
前記細長の本体を通るように作動ワイヤを配置する工程と、
前記作動ワイヤを前記遠位領域に固定する工程と、
前記ネック領域内で、前記形状記憶ワイヤ及び前記作動ワイヤの周りに非変形性の拘束部材を形成する工程、
を備える、方法。 - 前記ネック領域内で、前記形状記憶ワイヤ及び前記作動ワイヤの周りに非変形性の拘束部材を形成する前記工程は、前記ネック領域内で、圧縮コイルで前記形状記憶ワイヤ及び前記作動ワイヤを囲む工程を備える、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 前記非変形性の拘束部材の内径は、前記形状記憶ワイヤ及び前記作動ワイヤを合わせた厚みを最大で0.003インチ(0.076mm)超える、請求項15又は16に記載の方法。
- 前記細長の本体の前記近位領域を、アクチュエータを含むハンドルに固定する工程と、
ユーザが前記アクチュエータを作動させたときに、前記作動ワイヤが作動されて、前記遠位領域の前記少なくとも部分的なループの半径を変化させるように、前記作動ワイヤを前記アクチュエータに固定する工程、をさらに備える、請求項15〜17のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
