図1は、本発明の例示的な実施形態に係る計量型フレアロゾルを示す。なお、「計量型(metered)」という用語は、所定量の液体を分配することを示すことに留意されたい。図2は、図1の例示的なフレアロゾル装置の上面図、正面図、側面図、及び背面図を示している。
図45−60は、「作動型フレアロゾル」として公知の、本発明の例示的な代替実施形態を示す。ここで完全に加圧された際に液体を分配するために、ユーザは装置を作動させる必要があり、図45は完全な作動型フレアロゾル装置を示す。図46は左から右へ、計量型フレアロゾルについて上記に示されたものと同様の模式的な破断図を示しており、浸漬管を有し、液体を充填されたボトルに取り付けられた作動型フレアロゾルの分配ヘッドと、浸漬管を有する場合及び浸漬管を有さない場合の両方のフレアロゾルの分配ヘッドが単独でそれぞれ示されている。図47は、所定位置にトリガーロックを有する一般的にパッケージされた例示的な作動型フレアロゾル装置を示す。また、作動型フレアロゾル装置の例示的な代替実施形態であって、ここではバネの底部が底部のノッチ又はフレームの渦に載置されており、上記(図4−5、図43)のように横リブには載置されていないことに留意されたい。
次に記載の図61−70は、本発明に係る様々な例示的な実施形態の態様を示している。それは、即ち、フレアロゾルスプレーの「リキッドシール(liquid seal)」型である。リキッドシールのフレアロゾルスプレーは、作動型及び計量型の上記の両方に追加的な特徴を有したフレアロゾルスプレーに相当する。その追加的な特徴とは、圧力リザーバーのピストンに対して弾性力を与える金属(又は他の材料)バネから、圧力リザーバー内の液体を完全に分離するために、様々なシールを追加することである。この実施形態は以下でさらに記載する。

Claims (12)
- 液体を外容器に覆われた内容器内に配置し、
ピストンおよびピストンチャンバーを備えるポンプを設け、
圧力チャンバーを前記内容器内に設け、前記圧力チャンバーは圧力バネ及び圧力ピストンを備え、
出口チャネルを設け、前記出口チャネルは前記圧力チャンバーと流体連通し、前記出口チャネルはオリフィスに繋がっており、
前記出口チャネルと前記ピストンチャンバーとの間に第1出口弁を設け、前記第1出口弁は前記ピストンチャンバーの内部と前記出口チャネルおよび前記圧力チャンバーの内部との圧力差に応じてのみ可動し、
前記圧力チャンバーおよび前記出口チャネルから前記オリフィスへの流れを制御するために前記出口チャネルに第2出口弁を配置し、
前記圧力チャンバーは前記第1出口弁を介して前記ピストンチャンバーと流体的に接続されており、前記第1出口弁は前記出口チャネルおよび前記圧力チャンバー内の流体圧力によって閉じられるように配置され、
前記ピストンチャンバーは、入口弁をさらに備え、前記入口弁を介してリザーバーと流体的に接続されており、
前記入口弁を開いて前記内容器から前記ピストンチャンバーに液体を引き込み、
前記第1出口弁を開き、前記第2出口弁を開くのに必要な最低限の圧力以上の圧力になるまで、前記ピストンチャンバーから前記圧力チャンバーおよび前記出口チャネルへ、加圧下で液体を圧送し、
前記出口チャネルから前記第2出口弁および前記オリフィスを通じて液体を分配する、装置から液体を分配する方法であって、
前記内容器の外面と前記外容器の内面の間の空間は大気に開放されており、
前記液体が前記出口チャネルから分配される際、空気が前記空間に入り、前記内容器の収縮を引き起こす、装置から液体を分配する方法。 - 前記液体は、ハンドポンプによって、前記内容器から前記ピストンチャンバーに引き込まれるとともに、前記ピストンチャンバーから前記圧力チャンバーおよび前記出口チャネルに圧送される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記圧力チャンバー内に圧送された液体が前記圧力バネを押圧することにより、前記圧力バネにエネルギーを蓄積する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記圧力バネは、前記内容器内及び前記圧力チャンバー内の液体から分離されている、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記圧送は、様々な前記ピストンの解放ストロークおよび加圧ストロークを介して前記出口チャネル内の液体を前記最低限の圧力より大きく加圧することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ピストンチャンバーと前記圧力チャンバー間の体積関係を変化させることで、(i)前記ピストンの下降行程に続いて分配される液体の量、(ii)連続的な噴霧状態の少なくとも1つを制御できる、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記ピストンチャンバーの体積は、前記圧力チャンバーの体積よりも大きい、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記ピストンチャンバーの体積は、前記圧力チャンバーの体積よりも1.5から3倍大きい、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記ピストンチャンバーの体積は、連続的な噴霧が可能であるように、前記圧力チャンバーの体積よりも小さい、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記ピストンチャンバーの体積は、前記圧力チャンバーの体積の2から5倍小さい、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記圧力チャンバーは内容器内の液体から流動的に分離されており、前記ポンプの出口と流体連通しているのみである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記圧力チャンバーは、オーバーフロー弁及びオーバーフロー開口部を設けられており、前記オーバーフロー弁及びオーバーフロー開口部は前記圧力チャンバーが所定体積を超えて充填されるのを防止する、請求項1に記載の方法。
