Claims (8)
- 第1端部、第2端部および中間部をそれぞれに有する複数のワイヤであって、該複数のワイヤのそれぞれのワイヤの中間部が相互に分離しているワイヤ;および
前記複数のワイヤのそれぞれの中間部を取り囲んでいる1つの導電性シールド;
を含むケーブル・アセンブリであって、
前記複数のワイヤの各ワイヤは、
導線;
該導線を取り囲んでいる絶縁層;および
該絶縁層の外表面に形成されている導電性被膜であって、グラフェンである導電性被膜;
を含み、
前記導電性シールドにより規定される内部空間内には64〜256本の前記ワイヤが設けられており、
前記ケーブル・アセンブリが複数の非絶縁ワイヤをさらに含み、該複数の非絶縁ワイヤが、前記導電性シールドにより規定される内部空間内に配置されており、該複数の非絶縁ワイヤは該導電性シールドとは接触しておらず前記導電性被膜と接触しており、
前記複数のワイヤのうちのいずれか2つの相互キャパシタンスが、当該複数のワイヤの長さが0.91m(3フィート)長のとき、2pF未満である、ケーブル・アセンブリ。 - 前記導電性被膜が、0.005mm(0.0002インチ)未満の厚みを有する、請求項1に記載のケーブル・アセンブリ。
- 前記複数のワイヤの第1端部および第2端部が並んで付着し、リボンを形成する、請求項1に記載のケーブル・アセンブリ。
- 前記導線を取り囲んでいる絶縁層が、0.025〜0.64mm(0.001〜0.025インチ)の厚みを有する、請求項1に記載のケーブル・アセンブリ。
- 前記ワイヤが、36AWG〜52AWGのゲージを有する導線を含む、請求項1に記載のケーブル・アセンブリ。
- 前記導線が、銅、銀めっきされた銅、錫めっきされた銅、および金めっきされた銅からなる導線の群から選択される、請求項5に記載のケーブル・アセンブリ。
- 前記複数のワイヤ間で測定されたクロストークが−34dB未満(5MHz未満)である、請求項1に記載のケーブル・アセンブリ。
- 請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載のケーブル・アセンブリの製造方法であって、
複数の導線を準備する工程;
前記複数の導線の各導線の周りに絶縁層を形成し、これにより複数の絶縁ワイヤを個々に形成する工程;
前記各ワイヤの絶縁層の外表面に導電性被膜を形成する工程;
前記複数のワイヤの外側に1つの編組シールドを適用する工程;および
前記編組シールドの外側に1つのシースを適用する工程;
を含む、方法。
