Description
Claims (9)
- 液体を供給するための吐出口に設けられる殺菌装置であって、
前記吐出口に接続される接続端と、前記接続端と反対側の開放端とを有し、前記吐出口と連通する流路を構成する管状の導光体と、
前記導光体の接続端および開放端の少なくとも一方から紫外光を入射させるよう配置され、前記導光体の内周面と外周面の間で紫外光が反射しながら前記導光体を透過するように前記導光体に紫外光を入射させる光源と、を備え、
前記光源および前記導光体は、前記導光体の内周面と空気の界面にて紫外光が全反射される一方、前記導光体の内周面と液体の界面にて紫外光が全反射されずに透過するように構成され、前記導光体の内周面に接触する液体に紫外光を照射して殺菌することを特徴とする殺菌装置。 - 前記導光体の内周面および外周面の双方が平滑面であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の殺菌装置。
- 前記導光体は、石英ガラス、フッ素系樹脂またはシリコーン系樹脂で構成されることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の殺菌装置。
- 前記光源は、前記導光体の接続端から紫外光を入射させるよう配置され、
前記開放端に設けられ、前記導光体を透過した紫外光を反射させる反射部材をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の殺菌装置。 - 前記反射部材は、誘電体多層膜で構成されることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の殺菌装置。
- 前記導光体の内周面のうちの前記開放端の近傍を少なくとも被覆する親水性の被覆層が設けられることを特徴とする請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の殺菌装置。
- 液体の供給停止時に前記導光体の内側に残留する液体に紫外光を照射することを特徴する請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の殺菌装置。
- 液体の供給停止中に前記光源を点灯させ、液体の供給中に前記光源を消灯させる制御装置をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の殺菌装置。
- 前記制御装置は、液体の供給停止中に前記光源を間欠的に点灯させることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の殺菌装置。
