Description

The present invention relates to a wire harness holding structure and method, and more particularly, to a wire harness holding structure and method with improved workability when holding a protector attached to the wire harness on a vehicle body or a vehicle-mounted member.

The wire harness routed to the vehicle is held on the vehicle body or the vehicle-mounted member by a protector to prevent the wiring harness from interfering with the vehicle body or the vehicle-mounted member due to vibration or the like during traveling of the vehicle.
As a conventional wire harness holding structure, in Patent Literature 1, in order to hold a wire harness on a vehicle body or a vehicle-mounted member, a rod-shaped body and a large-diameter portion protruding from a connector holder are provided. A connector holder that has a large-diameter hole larger than the large-diameter portion and a small-diameter hole smaller than the large-diameter hole, penetrates the large-diameter portion through the large-diameter hole portion, and then slides into the small-diameter hole portion to detachably lock. Is known.

However, in the connector holder holding structure of Patent Document 1, when an operator pushes the large diameter portion through the large diameter hole portion, when pushing the connector holder into the vehicle body or the vehicle-mounted member side so as to penetrate the large diameter portion, It is difficult to know how far the slide should be pushed into the narrow hole after being pushed in, and there is a possibility that workability may be reduced, and improvement is desired.

This invention is made in view of the said subject, and an object of this invention is to improve the workability | operativity at the time of holding the protector of the wire harness wired in a vehicle to a vehicle body or a vehicle-mounted member.

According to the present invention, in a wire harness holding structure in which a wire harness protector routed to a vehicle is held by a vehicle body or a vehicle-mounted member of the vehicle, the vehicle body or the vehicle-mounted member has a hole in which the protector is held, The protector has a locking portion inserted into the hole, the locking portion includes a claw portion that locks to a vehicle body or a vehicle-mounted member around the hole portion, and a vehicle body that protrudes upward on a rear side behind the claw portion. Alternatively, the locking portion has a rib that is larger than the hole diameter of the hole when the distance between the lower surface of the claw portion and the upper surface of the rib as viewed from the insertion direction is greater than the diameter of the hole. holding the wire harness surface facing the rib claws in contact with the vehicle body or vehicle member locked to the vehicle body or vehicle surrounding members hole portion surface facing a substantially U-shaped at the rear side of the pawl portion It has a fitting groove depressed in the shape, and the fitting groove The distance between the upper surface of the face and ribs being greater than the hole diameter.

According to the present invention, the connector (locking portion) provided on the protector has the claw portion and the rib, and the distance between the lower surface of the claw portion and the upper surface of the rib as viewed from the insertion direction is larger than the hole diameter of the hole portion. The rib prevents the connector from being further inserted by contact with the vehicle body or the vehicle-mounted member. From this state, the claw portion is locked to the vehicle body or the vehicle-mounted member around the hole and the wire harness is connected to the vehicle body or the vehicle-mounted member. Since the holding is performed, workability can be improved.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

1 to 4 show an embodiment of the present invention. In FIG. 1, a protector 2 for protection is attached to a wire harness 1 arranged in a vehicle. The protector 2 is held by a side member 3 that is a vehicle body, and has a structure in which the wire harness 1 is held by the side member 3.
In the holding structure of the wire harness 1, the side member 3 has a hole 4 in which the protector 2 is held. As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the side member 3 has a box-shaped cross section. As shown in FIG. 3A, the hole 4 extends radially outward at right angles at the center point C of the hole 4, and has a length of two line segments L 1 and L 2 connecting the edge 5 of the hole 4. R1 and R2 are formed on the side member 3 so as to be different from each other.
In the embodiment, the length R1 of the hole 4 in the vertical direction in FIG. 3A is longer than the length R2 of the horizontal direction (R1> R2). As a result, the hole 4 is formed in an oval shape having a length R1 as a major axis and a minor axis with a length R2 smaller than the length R1.

The protector 2 has a connector (locking portion) 6 inserted into the hole 4. As shown in FIG. 2, the connector 6 has a connector main body 7, a shaft portion 8, a claw portion 9, and a rib 10. The connector body 7 is provided on the side of the protector 2 so as to protrude in a ridge shape. The shaft portion 8 is provided to protrude in the insertion direction X from the connector main body 7 toward the hole portion 4.
The claw portion 9 is provided so as to protrude from one side (lower side in FIG. 3) of the direction intersecting the insertion direction X of the shaft portion 8 in one direction (lower side in FIG. 3) in the direction intersecting the insertion direction X. The claw portion 9 is separated from the connector body 7 on the rear side in the insertion direction X of the shaft portion 8. The claw 9 is locked to the side member 3 around the hole 4.

A fitting groove 11 is provided on the rear side of the claw portion 9 between the claw portion 9 and the connector body 7. The fitting groove 11 has a substantially U-shape in a reverse direction on one side (lower side in FIG. 3) in a direction intersecting the insertion direction X of the shaft portion 8. The side member 3 is fitted into the fitting groove 11 from the edge 5 side of the hole 4 of the side member 3.
As shown in FIG. 3B, the fitting groove 11 has a bottom surface 12 located on the upper side in a direction intersecting the insertion direction X, a front side surface 13 located on the front side in the insertion direction X, and a rear side. And a rear side surface 14 located thereon. When the side member 3 is fitted in the fitting groove 11, the edge 5 of the hole 4 contacts the bottom surface 12 and the inner surface 15 of the side member 3 contacts the front side surface 13, as shown in FIG. The outer surface 16 of the side member 3 comes into contact with the rear side surface 14.
The front side surface 13 of the fitting groove 11 is the rear side surface of the claw portion 9. The rear side surface 14 of the fitting groove 11 is a front side surface of the connector body 7. The fitting groove 11 sets the width W1 between the front side surface 13 and the rear side surface 14 to be equal to or greater than the thickness W2 of the side member 3 in order to fit the side member 3 (W1 ≧ W2).

The rib 10 is located on the rear side of the claw portion 9 in the insertion direction X, from the other side (upper side in FIG. 3) in the direction intersecting the insertion direction X of the connector main body 7, from the other side (the upper side in FIG. 3 upwardly). The rib 10 has a front side surface 17 located on the front side in the insertion direction X. The rib 10 has a distance W3 from the front side surface 13 of the fitting groove 11 to the front side surface 17 of the rib 10 so that the claw portion 9 is inserted into the hole portion 4 and locked on the inner surface 15 of the side member 3. The thickness of the member 3 is not less than W2 (W3 ≧ W2).
Note that the distance W3 from the front side surface 13 of the fitting groove 11 to the front side surface 17 of the rib 10 is slightly larger than the width W1 between the front side surface 13 and the rear side surface 14 of the fitting groove 11, so that the claw is formed. Insertion of the portion 9 into the hole 4 can be facilitated.

In the connector 6, when viewed from the insertion direction X, the distance D1 between the lower surface 18 of the claw portion 9 and the upper surface 19 of the rib 10 is larger than the length R1 of the long diameter of the hole portion 4 (D1> R1). The connector 6 engages with the hole 4 by engaging the claw 9 with the inner surface 15 of the side member 3 around the hole 4 with the front side surface 17 of the rib 10 in contact with the outer surface 16 of the side member 3. Then, the protector 2 is held on the side member 3. Thereby, the protector 2 holds the wire harness 1 on the side member 3.
In the connector 6, when viewed from the insertion direction X, the distance D2 between the bottom surface 12 of the fitting groove 11 and the upper surface 19 of the rib 10 is greater than the length R1 of the major axis of the hole 4 (D2> R1). . Thereby, the connector 6 prevents the rib 10 from being inserted into the hole 4. The distance D2 between the bottom surface 12 of the fitting groove 11 and the upper surface 19 of the rib 10 is smaller than the distance D1 between the lower surface 18 of the claw portion 9 and the upper surface 19 of the rib 10 (D2 <D1).
Further, as shown in FIG. 3, the connector 6 has an upper guide portion 20 on the other side (upper side in FIG. 3) in a direction intersecting the insertion direction X of the shaft portion 8, and A right guide portion 21 and a left guide portion 22 are provided on both sides (right and left sides in FIG. 3) in the direction intersecting and intersecting with the upper guide portion 20. As shown in FIG. 3A, the upper guide portion 20, the right guide portion 21, and the left guide portion 22 contact the edge 5 of the hole 4 together with the claw 9 when the connector 6 is inserted into the hole 4. Guide the insertion.

The protector 2 attached to the wire harness 1 positions the connector 6 so as to face the hole 4 of the side member 3 and inserts the connector 6 into the hole 4 as shown in FIG. When the connector 6 is inserted into the hole 4, as shown in FIG. 3A, the upper guide 20, the right guide 21, the left guide 22, and the claw 9 of the shaft 8 are connected to the hole 4. It touches the rim 5 and is guided for insertion into the hole 4.
In the connector 6, since the distance D1 between the lower surface 18 of the claw portion 9 and the upper surface 19 of the rib 10 as viewed from the insertion direction X is larger than the length R1 of the major axis of the hole 4 (D1> R1), FIG. As shown in B), the fitting groove 11 faces the lower edge 5 of the hole 4, the front side surface 17 of the rib 10 contacts the outer surface 16 of the side member 3, and the rear side of the fitting groove 11. The front side surface of the connector body 7 connected to the side surface 14 comes into contact with the outer surface 16 of the side member 3.
In this state, since the rib 10 and the connector body 7 are in contact with the outer surface 16 of the side member 3 in this state, the connector 6 is not inserted into the hole 4 any more.

When the connector 6 is moved to one side (lower side in FIG. 4) in the direction intersecting the insertion direction X in the hole 4, the lower side member 3 of the hole 4 is fitted into the fitting groove 11. As shown in FIG. 4, the bottom surface 12 of the fitting groove 11 contacts the lower edge 5 of the hole 4 and engages with the hole 4.
In the connector 6 engaged with the hole 4, the distance D2 between the bottom surface 12 of the fitting groove 11 and the upper surface 19 of the rib 10 as viewed from the insertion direction X is larger than the length R1 of the major axis of the hole 4 (D2). > R1), in a state where the bottom surface 12 of the fitting groove 11 is in contact with the edge 5 of the hole 4, the front side surface 17 of the rib 10 contacts the outer surface 16 of the side member 3, and the rear side of the claw portion 9. The front side surface 13 of the fitting groove 11, which is the side surface of the connector body 7, contacts the inner surface 15 of the side member 3, and the rear side surface 14 of the fitting groove 11, which becomes the front side surface of the connector body 7, contacts the outer surface 16 of the side member 3. It will be in the state of having done.
The connector 6 holds the protector 2 on the side member 3 by engaging the claw 9 with the inner surface 15 of the side member 3 around the hole 4 while the rib 10 is in contact with the side member 3. Thereby, the protector 2 holds the wire harness 1 on the side member 3.
When the protector 2 held by the side member 3 is to be removed, the connector 6 is moved to the other side (upward in FIG. The protector 2 can be easily removed from the side member 3 by releasing the fitting of the lower side member 3 of the portion 4 and extracting the connector 6 from the hole 4.

As described above, in the holding structure of the wire harness 1, the connector 6 provided on the protector 2 has the claw portions 9 and the ribs 10, and the lower surface 18 of the claw portion 9 and the upper surface of the ribs 10 viewed from the insertion direction X. The distance D1 from the hole 19 is larger than the length R1 of the hole 4.
For this reason, according to the holding structure of the wire harness 1, when the connector 6 is inserted into the hole 4, the rib 10 can be prevented from contacting the side member 3 and the connector 6 can be prevented from being further inserted. Since the hook 9 is engaged with the side member 3 around the hole 4 to hold the wire harness 1 on the side member 3, workability can be improved.
Further, in the holding structure of the wire harness 1, since the distance D2 between the bottom surface 12 of the fitting groove 11 and the upper surface 19 of the rib 10 is larger than the length R1 of the major axis of the hole 4, the claw 9 is not provided. 4 prevents the rib 10 from coming into contact with the side member 3 to prevent the connector 6 from being further inserted even when the connector 6 is locked to the side member 3 around the connector. 6 can be prevented from rotating leftward in FIG. 4 (B).
For this reason, according to the holding structure of the wire harness 1, it is possible to prevent stress from being concentrated on the claw portion 9 while improving workability when holding the protector 2 on the side member 3.
Further, in the holding structure of the wire harness 1, the lengths D1 and D2 of two line segments L1 and L2 connecting the edge 5 of the hole 4 orthogonally at the center point C of the hole 4 are different from each other. When the connector 6 is rotated by a predetermined angle in the circumferential direction of the shaft portion 8, the upper guide portion 20 comes into contact with the side edge 5 of the hole portion 4, and the fitting groove is formed. Since the movement of the connector 6 in the hole 4 for extracting the connector 6 from the connector 11 is prevented, the connector 6 cannot be taken out.
For this reason, according to the above-described holding structure of the wire harness 1, even when the connector 6 rotates in the oval hole 4, the claw 9 locked on the side member 3 can be prevented from coming off. , The protector 2 can be held by the side member 3.

Further, the holding structure of the wire harness 1 has a hole 4 in which the protector 2 is held in the side member 3 and a connector 6 inserted in the hole 4. The claw portion 9 is engaged with the member 3, and the claw portion 9 has a rib 10 protruding upward at a rear side of the claw portion 9 and in contact with the side member 3. In the method of holding the wire harness 1, when the connector 6 is inserted into the hole 4, the rib 10 comes into contact with the side member 3, and then the claw 9 and the side member 3 around the hole 4 are locked. By doing so, the wire harness 1 is held.
As described above, according to the method of holding the wire harness 1, since the connector 6 has the claw portions 9 and the ribs 10, it is possible to prevent the ribs 10 from contacting the side members 3 and inserting the connector 6 further. In this case, the claw portion 9 and the side member 3 around the hole 4 are locked to hold the wire harness 1 on the side member 3, so that workability can be improved.

In the above-described embodiment, the side member 3 is illustrated as the vehicle body that holds the protector 2, but the vehicle body other than the side member 3 may be a side sill or a pillar. In addition, the member holding the protector 2 may be a vehicle-mounted member such as a bracket, a tray, or an electric connection box, in addition to the vehicle body. In addition, the vehicle body or the vehicle-mounted member is not limited to the above-described members, and may be any member having a hole for holding the protector 2. By holding the protector 2 on these vehicle bodies or vehicle-mounted members, workability when holding the wire harness 1 can be improved.

The present invention can improve workability when holding a protector of a wire harness on a vehicle body or a vehicle-mounted member.
