- 被験者の睡眠をエンハンスする感覚的刺激を提供するように構成されたシステムであって、
前記被験者に感覚的刺激を提供するように構成された一以上の感覚的刺激器と、
睡眠中に前記被験者の心臓属性に関する情報を担う出力信号を生成するように構成された一以上のセンサと、
コンピュータプログラムコンポーネントを実行するように構成された一以上のプロセッサであって、前記コンピュータプログラムコンポーネントは、
前記被験者の心臓パラメータを決定するように構成されたパラメータコンポーネントであって、かかる決定は前記一以上のセンサからの生成された出力信号に基づくパラメータコンポーネントであって、前記心臓パラメータは心拍間隔(IBIs)に基づく、パラメータコンポーネントと、
前記心臓パラメータに基づき、前記被験者が目標神経活動レベルを生成したか決定するように構成されたニューラルコンポーネントと、
前記感覚的刺激を供給するように前記一以上の感覚的刺激器による感覚的刺激のデリバリーのタイミングを制御して、前記被験者の睡眠をエンハンスするように構成された制御コンポーネントであって、前記タイミングは前記目標神経活動レベルに関連する基準に基づく制御コンポーネントとを有し、

前記心臓パラメータに基づいて前記被験者が目標神経活動レベルを生成したか決定する第2の手段と、
前記被験者の睡眠をエンハンスするように、前記被験者に前記感覚的刺激をデリバリーするタイミングを制御する手段であって、前記タイミングは前記目標神経活動レベルに関連する基準に基づく手段とを有し、
前記基準は、前記被験者が所定時間に前記目標神経活動レベルを生成したとの決定に基づいている、
