Description
The present invention relates to a plug, a socket, and a board connecting connector including them.
In an electronic device, for example, a plurality of printed circuit boards arranged to face each other are incorporated in a relatively narrow space. Such a plurality of printed circuit boards are electrically connected to each other through, for example, a board connecting connector as disclosed in Patent Document 1.
Such a board connecting connector includes, for example, a socket arranged on the first printed wiring board, and a plug arranged on the second printed wiring board arranged opposite to the first printed wiring board. It is comprised including.
For example, as shown in Patent Document 1, the socket includes a floating mechanism so as to absorb an error in a relative position with respect to a plug to be connected. Such a floating mechanism is configured to movably support the power supply terminal block with respect to the common housing so that the plurality of signal terminals and the power supply terminal bridge the power supply terminal block and the common housing at both ends, respectively. ing. Between the power supply terminal block and the signal terminal block in the socket, an interval for inserting the above-described plug partition is formed.
Thereby, when the plug is connected to the socket, the plug partition wall is inserted into the interval of the socket, so that the signal terminal and the power terminal in the socket and the signal terminal and the power terminal in the plug are connected without being shifted from each other. The first printed wiring board and the second printed wiring board are electrically connected.
In addition, in a high current connector to which a flexible substrate or the like is connected, for example, as disclosed in Patent Document 2, it is proposed to set the terminal width of a power supply terminal to twice the terminal width of a signal terminal. Yes.
In the configuration in which two power supply terminal blocks in a board connecting connector having a floating mechanism as shown in Patent Document 1 are connected by a common housing, the occupied area of the board connecting connector is relatively small in the printed wiring board. As the size increases, cracks may occur in the joining of the soldering terminal portions of the board connection connector due to the difference between the linear expansion coefficient of the printed wiring board and the outer portion of the board connection connector. With the problem of becoming big. As a countermeasure against such a problem, it is conceivable to reduce the size of the board connecting connector by configuring the board connecting connector with a single block.
However, when miniaturizing a high-current board connecting connector having a floating mechanism with a single block, the number of power supply terminals and signal terminals cannot be reduced, and thus miniaturization may be difficult. In such a case, in the high current board connection connector, it may be possible to reduce the number of terminals by increasing the terminal width of the power supply terminal compared to the terminal width of the other signal terminals. If the terminal width of the terminal becomes large, there is a risk that the operation of the floating mechanism will not be smooth.
In view of the above problems, the present invention is a board connection connector for performing electrical connection between a plurality of printed circuit boards provided with a plug, a socket, and a socket, and may be used at a high current. Another object of the present invention is to provide a plug, a socket, and a board connecting connector including them that can smoothly operate the floating mechanism and can reduce the size of the board connecting connector.

In addition, the plug according to the present invention is provided on the board, has a socket connection port to which the connection end is connected, is supported so as to be movable, and a corner at which the projection for preventing erroneous insertion at the connection end is engaged. And a socket connecting member having a fitting recess that interferes with the insertion preventing projection, and the socket connecting member is movably supported in a direction perpendicular to the attaching / detaching direction and electrically connected to the substrate. A plurality of contact terminals including at least one power contact terminal and a signal contact terminal to be connected, and a locking piece that is locked to at least one protrusion of the socket connecting member, and the attaching / detaching direction of the socket connecting member And a stopper member for regulating the position of the socket connecting member along the contact portion of the power contact terminal is spaced apart from each other to form a socket connection port of the socket connecting member A movable piece portion that is fixed to one of the pair of terminal fixing walls and that is connected to a contact piece portion that has an area larger than the area of the contact piece portion of the signal contact terminal. And
Furthermore, in the socket according to the present invention, the connection end portion detachably connected to the socket connection port of the socket connecting member of the plug described above, and the connection end portion arranged on the board are connected to the socket connection port of the plug. In this case, the power supply contact terminal and the signal contact terminal in the plug are respectively connected to the power supply contact terminal and the signal contact terminal and electrically connected to the substrate.
According to the plug, the socket, and the board connecting connector including them according to the present invention, the contact piece of the power contact terminal of the plug is fixed to a pair of terminals that form a socket connection port of the socket connecting member.
