Description

塗布ノズル65は、図13(b)に示すように、通常、基板上面Sより設定距離gだけ高い位置まで下降させられ、高粘性流体が吐出される。従来の塗布ヘッドにおいては、塗布ノズルとは別に、吐出管の先端より距離gだけ下方へ突出する突出棒が設けられ、突出棒が基板上面Sに当接するまで下降させられた後に、高粘性流体が吐出されるようにされていた。しかし、突出棒がすでに装着された部品と干渉する等、高い密度で部品を装着する場合に問題があった。また、突出棒が基板上面Sに押し付けられた後に高粘性流体が吐出されるため、その分、塗布に要する時間が長くなる等の問題もあった。そのため、突出棒を用いることなく、塗布ノズル65を基板上面Sから設定距離gだけ高い位置まで正確に下降させる要求があった。

一方、タッチセンサ14を用いれば、塗布ノズル基準下降量を正確に取得することができるが、タッチセンサ14は吸着ノズル57によって用いられるものであり、塗布ノズル65の先端が被接触部13に当接すると高粘性流体が付着し、望ましくない。そこで、ユニット78に塗布ヘッド専用のタッチセンサ83を設けたのであるが、ユニット78は、装置本体2に着脱可能に取り付けられたものであるため、タッチセンサ83の被接触部91の高さが基板上面Sと同じ高さにならない場合がある。
以上の事情から、本実施例においては、スライダ48に取り付けられた非接触型の距離センサ110を用いて高さ測定治具16、84の各々の被反射面15、92の高さの差ΔH、すなわち、タッチセンサ14、83の被接触部13、91の高さの差ΔHが取得され、これら差ΔHと、塗布ノズル65がタッチセンサ83の被接触部91に当接するまでの下降量Dとに基づいて、塗布ノズル基準下降量が取得されるようにした。

前記装置本体に着脱可能に取り付けられたユニットと、
前記塗布ノズルの先端が当接可能な塗布ノズル用被接触部を有し、前記ユニットに設けられ、前記塗布ノズルの先端が当接したか否かを検出する塗布ノズル用タッチセンサと、
