(B)基材の前表面上にコーティング組成物CBの層LBの面積ABを適用し、次に該層LBを乾燥させるか、または該層LBが乾燥するようにし、コーティング組成物CBが、乾燥時に透明コーティングを形成することと、
(C)次に、基材の表面上にコーティング組成物CCの層LCの面積ACを適用して、それにより面積ABが面積ACと重なり合うようにし、次に層LCを乾燥させるか、または該層LCが乾燥するようにし、コーティング組成物CCが、乾燥時に透明コーティングを形成することと、を含み、
該コーティング組成物CB及び該コーティング組成物CCの各々が独立して、結合剤、及び重量平均径を有する複数のビーズを含み、
該基材の表面上に第1の面積及び第2の面積があり、第1の面積が、T1の該透明コーティングの全層の総厚を有し、第2の面積が、T2の該透明コーティングの全層の総厚を有し、T1とT2との差異が、該複数のビーズの重量平均径を上回り、
該ビーズが球形であり、
該ビーズが有機ポリマーを含み、かつ
該ビーズの屈折率が1.4〜1.65である。
A 第1の態様の光学効果物品を提供することと、
B 該物品の表面を、単一の非分散光源によって照明することであって、該光源が、該光源の中心及び該表面の中心を通過する線L1上に位置する、照明することと、
C ステップBと同時に、観察点であって、該光源と同じ側の該表面上にあり、かつ該観察点及び該表面の中心を通過する線L2上に位置する、観察点から、該表面を観察することと、を含み、該線L1と該線L2との間の角度が、10度以下である。
配合物A:図4に示すような三角形
配合物B:頂点を下に向けた同じサイズ及び形状の三角形
配合物C:歯を上に向けた熊手形、全長はボードの長さの約4分の3
「有り」=幾何学的図像が容易に見え、透明コーティングの増加する厚い層からの階段パターンも容易に見えた。
「無し」=幾何学的図像は可視でなく、階段パターンは可視でなく、ボードの表面は均一に見えた。
(a)配合物C−CC:配合物C中のような歯を下に向けた熊手形
(b)配合物C−S:絞首台形、全長はボードの長さの約4分の3

Claims (9)
- 条件依存性画像を有する物品であって、
(a)表面を有する基材と、
(b)前記基材の前記表面上に、重量平均径を有する複数のビーズを含む透明コーティングの2つ以上の層と、を含み、
前記基材の前記表面上に第1の面積及び第2の面積があり、前記第1の面積が、T1の前記透明コーティングの全層の総厚を有し、前記第2の面積が、T2の前記透明コーティングの全層の総厚を有し、T1とT2との差異が、前記複数のビーズの前記重量平均径以上であり、
前記ビーズが球形であり、
前記ビーズが空隙を含まず、
前記ビーズは不均一な屈折率を有し、前記屈折率の値は、各ビーズの中心の周りの球対称で分布し、及び前記屈折率の値は前記ビーズの中心から外面へと単調に増加し、前記ビーズにおける最高屈折率と、前記ビーズにおける最低屈折率との間の差異は、0.005〜0.1であり、
前記ビーズが有機ポリマーを含み、
前記ビーズの表面に最も近い前記ビーズの部分の屈折率が1.4〜1.65であり、並びに、
前記透明コーティングが、屈折率を有する結合剤をさらに含み、前記結合剤の屈折率と前記ビーズの表面に最も近い前記ビーズの部分の屈折率との間の差異の絶対値が、0.1以下である、前記物品。 - 前記結合剤が、0℃〜30℃のガラス転移温度を有するポリマーを含む、請求項1に記載の前記物品。
- 前記結合剤が、−40℃〜−1℃のガラス転移温度を有するポリマーを含む、請求項1に記載の前記物品。
- 前記ビーズの前記重量平均径が、2〜15マイクロメートルである、請求項1に記載の前記物品。
- 前記複数のビーズの少なくとも90重量%が、前記複数のビーズの前記重量平均径の0.8倍以上である直径を有し、かつ前記複数のビーズの前記重量平均径の1.2倍以下である直径を有するビーズである、請求項1に記載の前記物品。
- 前記基材が不透明である、請求項1に記載の前記物品。
- 条件依存性画像を有する物品を製作する方法であって、
(A)表面を有する基材を提供することと、
(B)前記基材の前記表面上にコーティング組成物CBの層LBの面積ABを適用し、次に前記層LBを乾燥させるか、または前記層LBが乾燥するようにし、コーティング組成物CBが、乾燥時に透明コーティングを形成することと、
(C)次に、前記基材の前記表面上にコーティング組成物CCの層LCの面積ACを適用して、それにより面積ABが面積ACと重なり合うようにし、次に層LCを乾燥させるか、または前記層LCが乾燥するようにし、コーティング組成物CCが、乾燥時に透明コーティングを形成することと、を含み、
前記コーティング組成物CB及び前記コーティング組成物CCの各々が独立して、結合剤、及び重量平均径を有する複数のビーズを含み、
前記基材の前記表面上に第1の面積及び第2の面積があり、前記第1の面積が、T1の前記透明コーティングの全層の総厚を有し、前記第2の面積が、T2の前記透明コーティングの全層の総厚を有し、T1とT2との差異が、前記複数のビーズの前記重量平均径以上であり、
前記ビーズが球形であり、
前記ビーズが空隙を含まず、
前記ビーズは不均一な屈折率を有し、前記屈折率の値は、各ビーズの中心の周りの球対称で分布し、及び前記屈折率の値は前記ビーズの中心から外面へと単調に増加し、前記ビーズにおける最高屈折率と、前記ビーズにおける最低屈折率との間の差異は、0.005〜0.1であり、

B 前記物品の前記表面を、単一の非分散光源によって照明することであって、前記光源が、前記光源の中心及び前記表面の中心を通過する線L1上に位置する、照明することと、
C ステップBと同時に、観察点であって、前記光源と同じ側の前記表面上にあり、かつ前記観察点及び前記表面の中心を通過する線L2上に位置する、観察点から、前記表面を観察することと、を含み、前記線L1と前記線L2との間の角度が、10度以下である、前記方法。
