Description
1)1若しくは複数の、電磁適合性がある光学センサ(例えば336)と、
2)MRIシステムのボア内に至る導線接続を含まない電源用接続を介して、電力が供給される1若しくは複数の光学センサ用電源(350)と、
3)MRIシステムのボア内に至る導線接続を含まない制御用接続を介して、入力コマンドが供給される1若しくは複数の光学センサ用コントローラ(360)と、
4)MRIシステムのボア内に至る導線接続を含まない出力用接続を介して、光学センサからの出力信号が供給される1若しくは複数のセンサ出力装置(160)とを含む装置である。ここで、導線接続とは、導電性材料(例えば金属)を利用して電気を伝導する接続であると定義される。よって、光ファイバは、電気の伝導がないので導線接続ではない。換言すれば、電源用接続、制御用接続及び/または出力用接続がMRIシステムのボアに入るどの点においても、これらの接続は非ワイヤード(例えば、光ファイバ、無線リンクなど)である。配線が完全にMRIシステムのボア内にある場合には導線接続を用いることができ、例えば、ローカルな電池との導線接続を介して、またはMRIヘッドコイルとの導線接続を介して、電力を供給することができる。カメラシステムにおいても、完全にMRIシステムのボアの外側に位置する部分内であれば、導線接続を用いることができる。
Claims (12)
- 磁気共鳴イメージング(MRI)システムによって生じる電磁(EM)環境で用いるための光センシング装置であって、
1若しくは複数の、電磁適合性がある光学センサであって、前記光学センサは、前記MRIシステムのヘッドコイル上または該ヘッドコイル内に配置される、該光学センサと、
前記MRIシステムの前記ヘッドコイルとの導線接続を介して、電力が供給される前記光学センサ用の1若しくは複数の電源と、
前記MRIシステムのボアの外部から前記MRIシステムの前記ボアの内部に至る導線接続を含まない制御用接続を介して、入力コマンドが供給される前記光学センサ用の1若しくは複数のコントローラと、
前記MRIシステムの前記ボアの外部から前記MRIシステムの前記ボアの内部に至る導線接続を含まない出力用接続を介して、前記光学センサからの出力信号が供給される1若しくは複数のセンサ出力装置とを含むことを特徴とする装置。 - 撮像対象に配置されるトラッキングマーカをさらに含み、
前記光センシング装置が、前記トラッキングマーカの一部または全部を含む視野範囲を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記1若しくは複数の電磁適合性がある光学センサが、相補型金属酸化膜半導体(CMOS)または電荷結合素子(CCD)技術での検出器アレイとして構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 照明源をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記制御用接続が、光ファイバ及び無線リンクからなる群から選択されたものであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記出力用接続が、光ファイバ及び無線リンクからなる群から選択されたものであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記制御用接続及び前記出力用接続が、1若しくは複数の光ファイバを含む1若しくは複数の双方向光ファイバリンクによって提供されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記双方向光ファイバリンクが、光源として垂直共振器面発光型レーザを含むことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の装置。
- 磁気共鳴イメージング(MRI)の方法であって、
i)MRIシステムによって生じる電磁(EM)環境で用いるための光センシング装置であって、
1若しくは複数の、電磁適合性がある光学センサであって、前記光学センサは、前記MRIシステムのヘッドコイル上または該ヘッドコイル内に配置される、該光学センサと、
前記MRIシステムの前記ヘッドコイルとの導線接続を介して、電力が供給される前記光学センサ用の1若しくは複数の電源と、
前記MRIシステムのボアの外部から前記MRIシステムの前記ボアの内部に至る導線接続を含まない制御用接続を介して、入力コマンドが供給される前記光学センサ用の1若しくは複数のコントローラと、
前記MRIシステムの前記ボアの外部から前記MRIシステムの前記ボアの内部に至る導線接続を含まない出力用接続を介して、前記光学センサからの出力信号が供給される1若しくは複数のセンサ出力装置とを含む光センシング装置を提供するステップと、
ii)MRI中に対象を光学的に観察する目的で前記光センシング装置を使用するステップとを含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記撮像対象の観察が、脈拍監視、呼吸監視、眼球の動きの追跡、瞳孔の大きさの監視及び皮膚温度の監視からなる群から選択される1若しくは複数の方法を含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記光学センサからの前記出力信号に基づいて、動きによるアーチファクトを低減するために動き追跡及び動き補正を行うステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記動き追跡が、動き追跡のためにマーカを用いる方法、動き追跡のために前記対象の自然特徴点を用いる方法、及び動き追跡のために前記対象に所定のパターンの光を投影する方法からなる群から選択される1若しくは複数の方法を含むことを特徴とする請求項11に記載の方法。
