Description
(1)まず、接着剤7を放熱板4の接合面に塗布する。
(2)接着剤が塗布された接合面に、あらかじめ凹部6が形成された蛍光体層3を貼り合わせる。
(3)貼り合わせた蛍光体層3を放熱板4に押し付けて、余分な接着剤7を押し出し、蛍光体層3の凹部6以外の平面部と放熱板4とを直接接触させる。
(4)最後に、蛍光体層3を放熱板4に押し付けたまま加熱炉に投入し、接着剤7を硬化させる。
なお、(3)の工程で、蛍光体層3の平面部と放熱板4との間に少量の接着剤7が残っていても、熱伝導性すなわち放熱特性が悪化することはないので許容される。
図6は、蛍光体層3に形成する凹部の配置の一変形例を示す図である。凹部13の幅wは、中心から外側に位置するものほど大きく設定している。これは、蛍光体層3と放熱板4との熱膨張係数の違いによって温度変化時に発生する相対ズレ量が、外側に位置するものほど大きくなることを考慮したからである。
(1)まず、光拡散粒子14の粉末と硬化前の接着剤7を混合してペーストを作製する。
(2)作製したペーストを、蛍光体層3の凹部6が形成された面に塗布し、凹部の内部にペーストを充填する。
(3)スキージ等を用いて蛍光体層3における放熱板4との接合面上のペーストを除去する。
(4)その後、実施例1での説明と同様に接合面に接着剤7を塗布して蛍光体層3と放熱板4と接合する。
図9は、蛍光体層3および放熱板4の変形例を示す断面図である。蛍光体層3の放熱板4との接合面側には光散乱層15を形成し、凹部6は光散乱層15に形成している。凹部6の深さは、光散乱層15を貫通しない大きさとする。光散乱層15は、蛍光体層3の励起光入射面で発した蛍光を散乱反射することで、凹部6へ到達する蛍光を低減し、蛍光体層3から放射される光のムラを低減する。
(1)まず、蛍光体層3の粉末を成型するプレス用の金型に、光散乱層15を構成する材料粉末を投入する。
(2)次に、投入した粉末の上に、光散乱層15以外の部分を構成する材料粉末を投入する。
(3)これをプレス機で圧粉してペレット状にし、その後、加熱炉で加熱して焼結させる。これにより、光散乱層15が形成された蛍光体層3を得ることができる。

Claims (3)
- 励起光を出射する光源と、前記励起光を受けて蛍光および拡散された励起光を出射する蛍光体層とを有し、前記蛍光および前記拡散された励起光を照射光として出射する光源装置であって、
前記蛍光体層と接合して該蛍光体層で発生した熱を放熱する放熱板を備え、
前記蛍光体層と前記放熱板との接合面において、前記蛍光体層または前記放熱板の少なくとも一方に複数の凹部を形成し、該凹部の少なくとも一部には接着剤が充填され、該接着剤によって前記蛍光体層と前記放熱板が接着されるとともに、
前記凹部の少なくとも一部は、その幅が、前記蛍光体層と前記放熱板との熱膨張係数の違いに起因して、保管時および使用時に想定される温度範囲で生じる相対ズレ量より大きく、
かつ、前記凹部の幅は、前記光源からの励起光の照射範囲の中心から外側に位置するものほど大きく形成していることを特徴とする光源装置。 - 励起光を出射する光源と、前記励起光を受けて蛍光および拡散された励起光を出射する蛍光体層とを有し、前記蛍光および前記拡散された励起光を照射光として出射する光源装置であって、
前記蛍光体層と接合して該蛍光体層で発生した熱を放熱する放熱板を備え、
前記蛍光体層と前記放熱板との接合面において、前記蛍光体層または前記放熱板の少なくとも一方に複数の凹部を形成し、該凹部には接着剤が充填され、該接着剤によって前記蛍光体層と前記放熱板が接着されるとともに、
前記蛍光体層の内部には、前記蛍光体層と前記放熱板との接着時に、前記凹部の内部の空気を通過させ外部へ排出しながら前記接着剤を充填させるための通気路を有することを特徴とする光源装置。 - 請求項1または2に記載の光源装置において、
前記凹部の内部に、前記蛍光体層から発せられる蛍光に対して光散乱性を有するとともに、励起光を吸収して蛍光に変換する蛍光体粒子を含有させた光散乱粒子を設置したことを特徴とする光源装置。
