Description
i)1以上の液体パーフルオロ溶媒を含む溶媒中に、1以上の未硬化のパーフルオロポリマー材料を溶解し、溶液を形成する工程と、
ii)必要に応じて、1以上のポロゲン(one or more porogens)及び/又は1以上の機能性添加物(one or more functional additives)を工程(i)で形成された溶液に添加し、混合物を形成する工程と、
iii)工程(i)及び(ii)で形成された溶液又は混合物を基体(substrate)に塗布し、部分的又は連続的な1以上の堆積層を基体上に形成する工程と、
iv)基体又は1以上の堆積層に所定量のエネルギーを加えて、1以上の堆積層から少なくとも部分的に溶媒を取り除く工程と、
v)1以上の堆積層内のパーフルオロポリマー材料を硬化し、パーフルオロエラストマー製品(perfluoroelastomeric product)を形成する工程と、
vi)所望に応じて、1以上のポロゲンをパーフルオロエラストマー製品から除去する工程。
ポロゲンの一般的な量は、パーフルオロポリマー材料中のパーフルオロポリマー100重量部当たり約10重量部〜約500重量部であり、より好ましくは約50重量部〜約300重量部である。高いポロゲンの充填量(loadings)は、母材高度に多孔質な母材(porous matrix)を形成するために好ましく、例えば、多孔性レベル(密度減少)が約85%以上を実現する上で、パーフルオロポリマー材料中のパーフルオロポリマー100部当たり50部〜500部又はそれ以上のポロゲンの充填量とすることができる。高い多孔性レベル(低い密度)は、所望に応じて、高い充填量により実現することができる。ポロゲンの密度、粒径及び量のすべては、セルラー材料(cellular materials)の基本的特性に寄与し、例えば、ポロゲンの密度は、所定のポロゲンの量のために占められる空間容積の変化に対応して多孔度に影響を与えることができる。材料の密度が高くなるほど、ポロゲンの量が同じであれば、孔の体積は小さくなる。さらに、ポロゲンの粒径は、孔の径及び/又は孔の表面積を変更させることが可能である。
Claims (18)
- パーフルオロポリマー材料の処理方法であって、前記処理方法は、
i)1以上の液体パーフルオロ溶媒を含む溶媒中に、1以上の未硬化のパーフルオロポリマー材料を溶解し、溶液を形成する工程と、
ii)前記工程(i)で形成された前記溶液を基体に塗布し、多重堆積物を前記基体上に形成する工程と、
iii)前記基体にのみ所定量のエネルギーを加え、前記多重堆積物から少なくとも部分的に前記溶媒を取り除くのに十分な温度になるまで前記多重堆積物の温度を上げる工程と、
iv)前記多重堆積物内の前記パーフルオロポリマー材料を硬化し、パーフルオロエラストマー製品を形成する工程と、
を含むパーフルオロポリマー材料の処理方法。 - 前記パーフルオロポリマー材料は、テトラフルオロエチレン(TFE)、ヘキサフルオロプロピレン(HFP)、及びパーフルオロアルキルビニルエーテル(PAVEs)から選択される1以上、又は、パーフルオロアルキルビニルエーテルである請求項1に記載の処理方法。
- 前記パーフルオロアルキルビニルエーテルは、直鎖又は分岐のアルキル基を含み、且つ、パーフルオロ(メチルビニルエーテル)、パーフルオロ(エチルビニルエーテル)、パーフルオロ(プロピルビニルエーテル)から選択される1以上のエーテル結合を含む請求項2に記載の処理方法。
- 前記パーフルオロポリマー材料は、テトラフルオロエチレンのターポリマー、パーフルオロアルキルビニルエーテル、及び、前記ターポリマーの架橋を可能にする官能基を含み少なくとも1種のパーフルオロ化されたキュアサイトモノマーを含む請求項1に記載の処理方法。
- 前記キュアサイトモノマーは、シアノ、ブロモ、ヨード又はペンタフルオロフェノキシの官能基を含む請求項4に記載の処理方法。
- さらに、1以上のポロゲン及び/又は1以上の機能性添加物を前記工程(i)で形成された前記溶液に添加することを含む請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載の処理方法。
- さらに、工程(iv)の後に、前記パーフルオロエラストマー製品から前記1以上のポロゲンを除去する工程を含む請求項6に記載の処理方法。
- 前記1以上のポロゲンは、塩化ナトリウム、サリチル酸、ラクトース、バリン、炭酸水素ナトリウム、重炭酸ナトリウム、炭酸カルシウム、グリシン、ポリエチレンオキサイド、ポリエチレングリコール(PEG)、ポリビニルピロリドン、微粒子のポリマー、ポリ塩化ビニル及び/又は二酸化チタンから選択される1以上の材料である請求項6または7に記載の処理方法。
- 前記1以上のポロゲンは、前記パーフルオロエラストマー製品中のパーフルオロポリマー100重量部当たり、約10重量部〜約500重量部の量が存在する請求項6乃至8のいずれか1項に記載の処理方法。
- 前記機能性添加物は、相互作用剤、加工助剤、フィラー、酸受容体、硬化促進剤、グラス繊維、ポリアラミド繊維、硬化剤及び/又は可塑剤から選択される1以上である請求項6に記載の処理方法。
- 前記基体は、金属性のマンドレル、非金属性のマンドレル、金属性のインプラント又は非金属性のインプラントである請求項1乃至10のいずれか1項に記載の処理方法。

- 前記パーフルオロポリマーを硬化する前記工程(iv)は、前記パーフルオロポリマーが前記基体上にあるときに実行される請求項1乃至14のいずれか1項に記載の処理方法。
- 前記パーフルオロポリマーを硬化する前記工程(iv)は、前記パーフルオロポリマーが前記基体上にないときに実行される請求項1乃至14のいずれか1項に記載の処理方法。
- 前記パーフルオロエラストマー製品からなる製品を形成する工程(v)をさらに含む請求項1乃至16のいずれか1項に記載の処理方法。
- 医療機器における、シーリング部材における、燃料電池部材における、または、整形外科インプラント上のコーティングとしての、請求項1乃至17のいずれか1項に記載の処理方法により用意したパーフルオロエラストマー製品の使用。
