Description
The present invention relates to a thermal tripping mechanism for circuit breakers such as a circuit breaker and a leakage breaker.
Circuit breakers such as circuit breakers for wiring and earth leakage circuit breakers (hereinafter abbreviated as circuit breakers) include, for example, a terminal for receiving power supplied thereto, as shown in FIG. It comprises a terminal supplied to the side, an open / close contact for interrupting current between them, and a thermal electromagnetic trip mechanism. In addition, these electric paths are covered with an insulating cover in order to ensure safety when operating by a person and to maintain internal line-to-line insulation. As shown in FIG. 3 of
The circuit breaker is not shown in the figure, but each terminal has an electric wire or bus bar that conforms to the rated current fixed with screws, etc., as a route for supplying power to the circuit breaker and the load side that follows it. Power is supplied to the circuit.
The thermal tripping mechanism of the circuit breaker is required to have a function of interrupting the circuit after a certain time delay when a current exceeding the rated current flows. In the case of
Heater heating value = R * I 2
Because of this relationship, there is a one-to-one correspondence. However, as a method of detecting this heat generation, the amount of bending of a bimetal that operates at an absolute temperature is used. Therefore, the detection is affected by the outside air temperature in addition to the amount of heat generation. That is, when the outside air temperature is higher than the predetermined outside temperature, the bimetal is bent, so that it is affected by being cut off with less current or being cut off at an earlier time. At present, due to these characteristics, the installation location is managed by setting a certain limit on the outside temperature of the circuit breaker.
In addition, external temperature compensation means may be introduced as in
The present invention has been made in order to solve the above-described problems, and accurately detects the heat generation amount used for current detection so as not to be affected by the outside air temperature, and transmits it to the opening / closing mechanism. It is an object of the present invention to provide a thermal tripping mechanism for a circuit breaker that can be used.
In order to solve the above problems, the thermal tripping mechanism of the first circuit breaker according to the present invention includes a heater that generates heat in response to an energizing current, and a high-temperature-side bimetal that deforms in opposite directions due to heating. Accordingly, a mechanism for opening the switching contact is operated.
Further, the thermal tripping mechanism of the second circuit breaker of the present invention includes a heater that generates heat due to a current flowing from a power supply side terminal to a load side terminal, and a thermal connection that is thermally connected so as to be deformed away from each other by heating. High temperature side bimetal and low temperature side bimetal having the same characteristics, a thermal resistor connected between the high temperature side bimetal and the low temperature side bimetal, holding means for fixing the tip positions of the high temperature side bimetal and the low temperature side bimetal, An adjuster that moves with the movement of the holding means, and a trip bar that operates as the adjuster moves to open a switching contact, and the high-temperature-side bimetal is on the heater side and the low-temperature side The bimetal is arranged on the load side terminal side.
Further, the thermal tripping mechanism of the third circuit breaker of the present invention includes a heater that generates heat due to a current flowing from a power supply side terminal to a load side terminal, and a thermal connection that is thermally connected so as to be deformed away from each other by heating. High temperature side bimetal and low temperature side bimetal having the same characteristics, connected between the connection portion of the heater and the high temperature side bimetal, and the connection portion of the load side terminal and the low temperature side bimetal, the high temperature side bimetal and the Thermal resistor with rigidity that can maintain the distance between the connection parts of the low temperature side bimetal, the electrical resistance is sufficiently high for the thermal resistance body, and the tip distance between the high temperature side bimetal and the low temperature side bimetal is maintained A holding means composed of a bridge-shaped piece having a possible rigidity, an adjuster that moves as the holding means moves, and a mechanism that opens when the adjuster moves to open a switching contact Has a trip bar for the high temperature side bimetal to the heater side, the cold side bimetal is characterized in that it has to be disposed on the load side terminal side.
According to the thermal tripping mechanism of the circuit breaker of the present invention, by providing a thermal resistor that thermally connects the high temperature side bimetal and the low temperature side bimetal, the state of the heat flow flowing through the thermal resistor is directly detected. It is possible to detect the current with high accuracy because it is not affected by the outside air temperature, and it is possible to realize high-accuracy interruption.
A thermal tripping mechanism for a circuit breaker according to
In FIG. 1, a
The
Then, as shown in FIG. 2, the high
A bridge-
The current flowing from the external power source into the power
Due to the current flowing in the electric circuit, the
The thermal tripping mechanism of the circuit breaker according to the present embodiment is made of copper having high electrical and thermal conductivity, or the
The high
The high
The amount of heat generated in the
However, since the heat conductivity of the base 29 and the cover is extremely lower than that of copper as the electric circuit material as described above, and the air in the cover is the same, most of the heat is conducted through the electric circuit. There are open /
Assuming that the outside air temperature has risen, if the
However, since the bimetal characteristics are the same, the forces cancel each other, and the position of the
Next, consider a case where a current to be interrupted flows. Since current flows, Joule heat is generated in the
The main heat dissipation path is
In this structure, the amount of deformation with respect to the temperature is reduced by half compared to the case where there is one bimetal, but the accuracy is improved overall because it is not affected by the outside air temperature. This not only improves the operation accuracy of the circuit breaker body incorporating this structure, but also improves the accuracy of adjusting the operation timing of the circuit breaker when manufacturing the circuit breaker. It also has the effect of improving.
The thermal tripping mechanism of the circuit breaker in the present embodiment includes a
As a result, the high
Here, the
The influence of the outside air temperature is offset by the opposing deformation operations of the high
