Description
The present invention relates to a light source device, and more particularly to a light source device having a plurality of light source elements on a substrate.
Conventionally, in the printing industry, the electronics industry, etc., the protective film, adhesive, paint, ink, photoresist, resin, alignment film, etc., which are objects to be processed, are cured, dried, melted, or softened. A light source that emits ultraviolet rays is often used as a light source for performing a modification process or the like. In recent years, LED elements that emit light in the ultraviolet region have been used, and such ultraviolet light is emitted. An ultraviolet light source unit using an LED element has been developed.
The structure which combined the light source device using the said LED element with the inkjet head of an inkjet printer is disclosed by Unexamined-Japanese-Patent No. 2004-358769 (patent document 1).
FIG. 6 shows the configuration.
The ink jet printer 50 includes an ink jet head 51 that ejects ink onto a print medium M such as paper, and an ultraviolet
The UV ink droplets ejected from the inkjet head 51 and attached to the surface of the print medium M are cured by the ultraviolet rays irradiated from the
After the UV ink droplets are cured, the print medium M moves in the length direction X by a predetermined distance, and the printing operation is repeated. Thereby, a picture or a character can be formed on the surface of the print medium.
By the way, the light source device of this type of ink jet printer includes a light emitting element substrate on which a light emitting element (LED element) is mounted, and a heat sink as a heat radiating device.
As this structure, for example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2003-282801 (Patent Document 2) is known.
The schematic structure is shown in FIG. 7, where a light
However, in this structure, as shown in FIG. 7, when the cooling air from the
Therefore, the cooling air does not strike the central area A of the heat sink 63 provided with the light
In addition, it is necessary to provide cooling air exhaust ports at two locations, the structure of the casing is complicated, and the processing effort is increased.
In view of the above-described problems of the prior art, the present invention provides a light source unit in which a light-emitting element substrate on which a light-emitting element is mounted is mounted in a casing in a casing, and a cooling fan disposed to face the cooling fins of the heat sink. In the light source device, the cooling air from the cooling fan hits the cooling fins of the heat sink evenly in the extending direction, and the region where the light emitting element substrate that needs the most cooling in the heat sink is provided. It is intended to provide a structure that can be sufficiently cooled.
In order to solve the above problems, the light source device of the present invention is provided with an air guide plate that guides the cooling air to one end in the extending direction of the cooling fin between the cooling fin of the heat sink and the cooling fan. In the casing, an exhaust port is formed opposite to the other end portion in the extending direction of the cooling fin.
Further, a plurality of strip-like wirings extending in the extending direction of the cooling fins are disposed on the light-emitting element substrate, and a plurality of light-emitting elements are disposed on the strip-like wirings. In addition, a light-emitting region in which the light-emitting element is disposed and a non-light-emitting region in which the light-emitting element is not disposed are provided on the belt-like wiring, and the non-light-emitting region is formed on the cooling fin to which the cooling air is guided. It is provided on one end side. The heat sink is composed of a plurality of heat sink blocks, and a plurality of strip-like wirings extending in the extending direction of the cooling fins are disposed on each of the heat sink blocks, and a plurality of light emission on the strip-like wirings. An element is disposed, and the plurality of heat sink blocks are connected in a direction orthogonal to an extending direction of the cooling fin.
According to the light source device of the present invention, the cooling air from the cooling fan is introduced from one end portion in the extending direction of the cooling fin of the heat sink and allowed to flow over the entire length in the extending direction of the cooling fin to the other end portion. Therefore, the cooling effect is improved, and in particular, since the cooling air sufficiently flows even in the region where the light emitting element substrate is provided, the inconvenience that the region requiring the most cooling cannot be cooled is eliminated.
Further, since the strip-like wiring of the light emitting element is provided on the light emitting element substrate along the extending direction of the cooling fin, the cooling effect by the flow of the cooling air is improved.
In addition, since the non-light-emitting region of the belt-like wiring is disposed on the one end side of the cooling air introduction, the wiring is efficiently cooled and the light-emitting element is reliably cooled.

By adopting such a structure, it is possible to easily cope with the change of the irradiation area of the irradiated object by increasing or decreasing the heat sink block.
As described above, in the light source device using the light emitting element of the present invention, by providing the air guide plate between the cooling fin of the heat sink and the cooling fan, one end portion in the extending direction with respect to the cooling fin. Since the cooling air is guided to the side, flows along the extending direction of the cooling fin, and is exhausted from the other end side, the cooling air hits the entire cooling fin and the cooling effect is improved. The attachment site of the light emitting element substrate can be effectively cooled.
