Description
Claims (12)
- 窒素酸化物(NOx)および粒子状物質(PM)を排出する車両用希薄燃焼内燃エンジン用の排気システムであって、窒素還元剤の存在下でNOxを還元するためのNOx還元触媒と、流れる排気ガス中に窒素還元剤を導入するための手段ならびに窒素還元剤の供給源と、前記排気システム内を流れる排気ガスからPMを除去するためのフィルタと、前記フィルタの下流側の前記排気システムを前記エンジンの空気取り込み口に連結するための低圧排気ガス再循環(EGR)回路とを備え、前記NOx還元触媒が、前記フィルタ上に位置し、前記EGR回路が、一酸化窒素(NO)吸着剤を含むNOx吸着触媒(NAC)を備え、
NO吸着剤が、200℃を下回る温度でNOを正味吸着し、200℃を上回る温度でNOを正味脱離する、
排気システム。 - 前記NO吸着剤が、パラジウムおよび酸化セリウム、またはセリウムと少なくとも1つの他の遷移金属とを含有する混合酸化物または複合酸化物からなる、請求項1に記載の排気システム。
- 前記混合酸化物または複合酸化物内の前記少なくとも1つの他の遷移金属が、ジルコニウムである、請求項2に記載の排気システム。
- 前記NO吸着剤が、3.5から7100g/m3 (0.1から200g/ft3)の範囲にあるパラジウム装填量を有する、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の排気システム。
- 前記NO吸着剤が、200℃を上回り250℃を下回るときにNOxを正味吸着し、250℃を上回るときにNOxを正味脱離するための熱的に再生可能なNOx吸着剤と組み合わされ、前記熱的に再生可能なNOx吸着剤は、白金および金属酸化物を含む、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の排気システム。
- 前記熱的に再生可能なNOx 吸着剤が、アルミナおよび/またはジルコニア上に分散された白金を含む、請求項5に記載の排気システム。
- 前記NO吸着剤が基層内に存在し、前記熱的に再生可能なNOx 吸着剤が、前記基層を覆う層内に存在する、請求項5に記載の排気システム。
- 流れる排気ガス中に窒素還元剤を導入するための前記手段が、前記フィルタの上流側に位置する、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の排気システム。
- 前記フィルタおよび/または前記NOx還元触媒の上流側に位置する、NOを二酸化窒素に酸化させるための酸化触媒を備える、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の排気システム。
- 前記NOx還元触媒が、窒素還元剤を用いてNOxの還元を選択的に触媒する、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の排気システム。
- 前記窒素還元剤が、アンモニア、ヒドラジン、または尿素((NH2)2CO)、炭酸アンモニウム、カルバミン酸アンモニウム、炭酸水素アンモニウムおよびギ酸アンモニウムからなる群から選択されたアンモニア前駆体である、請求項10に記載の排気システム。
- 請求項1に記載の排気システムを備える、希薄燃焼内燃エンジン。
