Description
上記実施形態では、第1LEDパッケージ及び第2LEDパッケージの数を同数としいるが、必ずしも第1LEDパッケージ及び第2LEDパッケージの数を同数とする必要は無い。この場合、第1LEDパッケージが最外郭に配置される場合には、上記実施形態と同様にその第1LEDパッケージに対応するように遮光部材535を設ける。例えば、表示装置の両サイドに第1LEDパッケージが配置される場合には、両サイドに遮光部材535を設けてもよい。あるいは、第2LEDパッケージが両サイドに位置するように配置してもよい。

Claims (10)
- 各々が第1色相の光を発生する複数の第1LEDパッケージと、
各々が前記第1色相と異なる第2色相の光を発生し、前記第1LEDパッケージの個数と同一の個数で前記第1LEDパッケージと互いに交互に配列される複数の第2LEDパッケージと、
前記第1LEDパッケージ及び前記第2LEDパッケージから入射光を受光して出射光を出射する導光板と、
前記第1LEDパッケージ及び前記第2LEDパッケージが実装された印刷回路基板と、
前記第1LEDパッケージの中の、前記印刷回路基板の最外側の2つの箇所のうちのいずれか一方に位置するもののみについて、これから発生して前記導光板側へ進行する光を遮断する遮光部材と、を含むバックライトアセンブリー。 - 前記第1LEDパッケージの個数及び前記第2LEDパッケージの個数の各々がm個(mは自然数)である時、m−1個の第1LEDパッケージから発生される光及びm個の第2LEDパッケージから発生される光が前記導光板の側へ提供されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライトアセンブリー。
- 前記出射光の色相は前記第1色相及び前記第2色相が互いに混合されて白色になることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライトアセンブリー。
- 前記第1色相は緑色であり、前記第2色相はマゼンタ色であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のバックライトアセンブリー。
- 前記第1LEDパッケージの中の前記最外側に配列された前記いずれか1つはダミーLEDパッケージとして定義され、前記ダミーLEDパッケージと、前記ダミーLEDパッケージの次に配列された前記第2LEDパッケージのうちのいずれか1つとは第1間隔をなし、前記互いに交互に配列された前記第1及び第2LEDパッケージの中の前記ダミーLEDパッケージを除外した残りは前記第1間隔より小さい第2間隔を置いて配列されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライトアセンブリー。
- 前記導光板、前記第1及び第2LEDパッケージを収納する収納容器と、
前記導光板を前記収納容器上に固定するモールドフレームと、をさらに含み、
前記遮光部材は前記モールドフレームに結合されて前記導光板及び前記ダミーLEDパッケージの間に配置されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のバックライトアセンブリー。 - 前記導光板、前記第1及び第2LEDパッケージを収納する収納容器と、
前記導光板を前記収納容器上に固定するモールドフレームと、をさらに含み、
前記遮光部材は前記収納容器に結合されて前記導光板及び前記ダミーLEDパッケージの間に配置されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のバックライトアセンブリー。 - 前記遮光部材は前記ダミーLEDパッケージの発光面に付着された遮光テープであることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のバックライトアセンブリー。
- 前記印刷回路基板上に実装され、複数の電源端子を有するコネクターをさらに含み、
前記印刷回路基板は、
前記第1LEDパッケージを各々がm個(mは2以上の自然数)の第1LEDパッケージを有する複数の第1グループに分ける時、前記複数の第1グループの中でいずれか1つが有するm個の第1LEDパッケージを、前記複数の電源端子の中のいずれか1つに、電気的に並列に連結させる第1印刷回路と、
前記第2LEDパッケージを各々がn個(nは2以上の自然数)の第2LEDパッケージを有する複数の第2グループに分ける時、前記複数の第2グループの中でいずれか1つが有するn個の第2LEDパッケージを、前記複数の電源端子の中の他の1つに、電気的に並列に連結させる第2印刷回路と、を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライトアセンブリー。 - バックライトアセンブリーと、
映像を表示する表示パネルと、を含み、
前記バックライトアセンブリーは、
各々が第1色相の光を発生する第1LEDパッケージと、
各々が前記第1色相と異なる第2色相の光を発生し、前記第1LEDパッケージの個数と同一の個数にて前記第1LEDパッケージと互いに交互に配列される第2LEDパッケージと、
前記第1LEDパッケージ及び前記第2LEDパッケージから入射光を受光して出射光を出射する導光板と、
前記第1LEDパッケージ及び前記第2LEDパッケージが実装された印刷回路基板と、
前記第1LEDパッケージの中の、前記印刷回路基板の最外側の2つの箇所のうちのいずれか一方に位置するもののみについて、これから発生して前記導光板側へ進行する光を遮断する遮光部材と、を含む表示装置。
