Claims (7)
- 正転方向及び逆転方向に回転可能な回転体に対向し、前記回転体の回転可能方向に沿って順に並設されてなり、前記回転体の回転に基づいて第1〜第N(Nは3以上の整数である。)センサ信号をそれぞれ出力する第1〜第Nセンサ素子と、
前記第1〜第Nセンサ素子から出力される第1〜第Nセンサ信号に基づいて、前記回転体の回転方向を検出する回転方向検出部と
を備え、
前記回転方向検出部は、前記第1センサ信号及び第M(Mは3以上N以下の整数である。)センサ信号から得られる第1差動信号と、前記第1センサ信号及び第L(Lは2以上M−1以下の整数である。)センサ信号から得られる第2差動信号とから、前記回転体の回転方向を検出し、
前記第1センサ素子と第Lセンサ素子との間隔は、前記第Lセンサ素子と第Mセンサ素子との間隔よりも小さいことを特徴とする回転検出装置。 - 前記Nが3であり、
前記回転方向検出部は、前記第1センサ信号及び第3センサ信号から得られる前記第1差動信号と、前記第1センサ信号及び第2センサ信号から得られる前記第2差動信号とに基づいて、前記回転体の回転方向を検出することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の回転検出装置。 - 前記回転方向検出部は、前記第1差動信号のゼロクロス時における前記第2差動信号の正負符号に基づいて、前記回転体の回転方向を検出することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の回転検出装置。
- 前記回転方向検出部は、前記第1差動信号のゼロクロス前後における正負符号と、前記第1差動信号のゼロクロス時における前記第2差動信号の正負符号とに基づいて、前記回転体の回転方向を検出することを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の回転検出装置。
- 前記回転体は、磁性材料により構成された複数の歯を有する歯車であり、
前記第1センサ素子と前記第Nセンサ素子との間隔は、前記歯車の隣接する2つの歯の間隔よりも小さいことを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の回転検出装置。 - 前記回転体は、円周方向に交互に配列された複数のN極及びS極を有し、
前記第1センサ素子と前記第Nセンサ素子との間隔は、隣接する2つの前記N極の間隔よりも小さいことを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の回転検出装置。 - 前記第1〜第Nセンサ素子は、いずれもTMR素子又はGMR素子であることを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の回転検出装置。
