Description
以下「放射性標識ガス」という場合がある)を被験者に吸入させるフェースマスク機構、及びこのフェースマスク機構を用いたPET(positron emission tomography)検査方法に関する。
また、本発明の第1の形態によれば、フェースマスク本体と内側マスクとにより構成される二重マスク構造になり、被験者に装着したとき、フェースマスク本体のより被験者側の内側が放射性標識ガスが導入される領域となり、且つ、フェースマスク本体と内側マスクとの間が、導入された放射性標識ガスが換気される領域となる。それ故、被験者に放射性標識ガスをより安定して又は効率的に吸入させることができる。また、フェースマスクから当該放射性標識ガスの残部を換気することができるので、フェースマスク内の放射性標識ガスの濃度を低く抑えることができる。

Claims (4)
- PET(positron emission tomography)検査の被験者に放射性同位元素を用いて標識したガス(以下「放射性標識ガス」という)を吸入させるためのフェースマスク機構であって、
被験者に酸素含有ガスを供給する吸気口と前記被験者の呼気を排気する排気口とが互いに分離して形成されるフェースマスク本体と、
被験者を覆っている前記フェースマスク本体の被験者側に放射性標識ガスを導入する放射性標識ガス導入管と、を備え、
前記フェースマスク本体の被験者側に内側マスクを更に備え、
前記放射性標識ガス導入管は、被験者を覆っている前記内側マスクの被験者側に前記放射性標識ガスを導入するフェースマスク機構。 - 前記フェースマスク本体は、シリコーンゴム又はウレタン製であり、
前記内側マスクは、繊維製であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のフェースマスク機構。 - 請求項1又は2に記載のフェースマスク機構を用いて被験者に前記放射性標識ガスを吸入させ、被験者に吸入された前記放射性標識ガスから放出される放射線をPET装置で検出することを特徴とするPET検査方法。
- 前記フェースマスク本体がPET装置の視野内に配置されることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のPET検査方法。
