Description
Claims (25)
- 動物の神経組織の神経活動の感知又は刺激のうち少なくとも一方を行い、また該神経活動を用いて義肢を制御するためのシステムであって、
動物の血管内に配置するための血管内デバイスを備え、
前記血管内デバイスは、その付近の前記血管の外に位置する神経組織の神経活動の感知又は刺激のうち少なくとも一方に適しており、
前記血管内デバイスから第1ユニットまで延びるワイヤと、
第2ユニットに連結された前記義肢と、を備え、該第2ユニットは、前記義肢を制御するよう構成されており、
前記第1ユニット及び前記第2ユニットは通信可能であり、該第2ユニットに対する前記神経活動の伝達が前記義肢の動作を制御するように構成されている、システム。 - 前記血管内デバイスは電極を備え、前記電極はその付近の前記血管の外に位置する神経組織の神経活動の感知又は刺激のうち少なくとも一方を行うための電極である、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 感知又は刺激のうち少なくとも一方の対象となる前記神経組織付近の前記血管内の領域にて、前記血管内デバイスを保持するための保持部材を備えた、請求項1又は2に記載のシステム。
- 前記保持部材は、前記血管内での拡張に適した、請求項3に記載のシステム。
- 前記保持部材は、体内への配置及び体内での漸次的な分解に適した、請求項3又は4に記載のシステム。
- 前記保持部材は、前記血管内での長期間配置に適した、請求項3又は4に記載のシステム。
- 前記保持部材は、前記血管内の領域での配置、回収、及び前記血管内の異なる領域へのその後の再配置に適した、請求項3〜6のうちいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記保持部材は、ステントを備える、請求項3〜7のうちいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記保持部材は、プローブを備える、請求項3〜8のうちいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記プローブは、細長い可撓性マイクロチューブを備えた、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 前記血管内デバイスは、前記プローブに取り付けられており、前記プローブは前記血管内デバイスとの間の電気信号の伝導に適した、請求項9又は10に記載のシステム。
- 前記血管内デバイスとの間で送受信した信号を処理するためのプロセッサを備えた、請求項1〜11のうちいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記血管内デバイスとの間で、データと電力のうち少なくとも一方を、ワイヤレスで送受信するためのワイヤレス送受信システムを備えた、請求項1〜12のうちいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記ワイヤレス送受信システムは、磁気誘導コイルとRF送受信装置のうち少なくとも1つを備えた、請求項13に記載のシステム。
- 感知された神経組織の活動が、所定のパラメータ範囲を外れると警報信号を送信するのに適した警報システムを備えた、請求項1〜14のうちいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記警報は、感知された活動が、前記動物に起こり得る、発作が差し迫った状態を示したときに発する警告信号を含む、請求項15に記載のシステム。
- 前記血管に通し、前記血管内を通過させられるように適合させた案内部材を備え、
前記案内部材は、感知又は刺激のうち少なくとも一方の対象となる前記神経組織付近の前記血管内の領域へと前記血管内デバイスを案内するのに適している、請求項1〜16のうちいずれか一項に記載のシステム。 - 前記案内部材は、その内部に前記血管内デバイスを通過させるのに適した、請求項17に記載のシステム。
- 前記血管内デバイスと離れて配置されたデバイスを備え、前記デバイスは、データ又は電力の保存、処理、及び前記血管内デバイスとの間の送受信のうち少なくとも1つに適している、請求項1〜18のうちいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記デバイスは、データ及び電力のうち少なくとも一方を、前記血管内デバイスと前記デバイスとの間、又は2つの前記デバイス間で送受信するためのワイヤレス送受信機構を備えた、請求項19に記載のシステム。
- 前記デバイスは、血管内配置に適した内部ユニットを備えた、請求項19又は20に記載のシステム。
- 前記デバイスは、皮下配置に適した内部ユニットを備えた、請求項19〜21のうちいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記デバイスは、体への配置又は体外の配置に適した外部ユニットを備えた、請求項19又は20に記載のシステム。
- 前記デバイスは、義肢を備えた、請求項19又は20に記載のシステム。
- 1つ以上の血管におけるさまざまな領域にて保持するのに適した複数の血管内デバイスを備えることで、前記血管内デバイス付近のさまざまな領域の神経組織における電気的活動の感知又は刺激のうち少なくとも一方を可能にする、請求項1〜24のうちいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
