Claims (11)
- 下記(a)〜(c):
(a)第1流体を流すことができる第1の複数のチューブ(20、22、24)を有し、この第1の複数のチューブ(20、22、24)の各々は第1セットの入口を形成する入口(36、38、40)を有し、上記第1の複数のチューブ(20、22、24)の各々は第1セットの出口を形成する出口(42、44、46)を有し、上記第1セットの入口は入口端(12)で入口支持体(16)に取り付けられており、上記第1セットの出口は出口端(14)で出口支持体(26)に取り付けられており、第1の複数のチューブ(20、22、24)の各々は上記入口端(12)から出口端(14)まで延びた第1共通螺旋軸線(48)に沿って螺旋を形成する第1チューブバンドル(34)と、
(b)第1流体を流すことができる第2の複数のチューブ(62、64、66)を有し、この第2の複数のチューブ(62、64、66)はそれぞれ第2セットの入口を形成する入口を有し、この第2の複数のチューブ(62、64、66)の各々は2セットの出口を形成する出口を有し、上記第2セットの入口は入口端(12)で入口支持体(16)に取り付けられており、上記第2セットの出口は出口端(14)で出口支持体(26)に取り付けられており、上記第2の複数のチューブの各々は入口端(12)から出口端(14)まで延びた第2共通螺旋軸線(68)に沿って螺旋を形成する第2チューブバンドル(60)と、
(c)注入口(30)と排出口(32)を有し、上記第1チューブバンドルおよび第2チューブバンドル(34、60)を取り囲み、上記の第1および第2チューブバンドル(35、60)の周りを通って第2流体を流すためのシェル(28)と、
を有する第1流体と第2流体の間で熱を伝達する熱交換器(10)において、
上記第1の複数のチューブ(20、22、24)は右方向螺旋ねじれを有し、上記第2の複数のチューブ(62、64、66)は左方向螺旋ねじれを有し、且つ、上記第2共通螺旋軸線は、第1チューブバンドル(34)に接する仮想円筒面の半径と第2チューブバンドル(60)に接する仮想円筒面の半径の和より小さい量だけ上記第1共通螺旋軸線からオフセットしていることを特徴とする熱交換器(10)。 - 第3の複数のチューブ(20b、22b、24b)を有する第3チューブバンドル(34b)をさらに有し、この第3の複数のチューブ(20b、22b、24b)の各々は第3共通螺旋軸線(48b)に沿って螺旋状に延び、第3共通螺旋軸線は第1共通螺旋軸線からオフセットした位置にあり、第1螺旋軸線(34)、第2螺旋軸線(68)および第3螺旋軸線(48b)が一つの共通面内にある請求項1に記載の熱交換器。
- 第1および第3の複数のチューブ(20、22、24、20b、22b、24b)が右方向螺旋ねじれで、第2の複数のチューブ(62、64、66)が左方向螺旋ねじれである請求項4に記載の熱交換器。
- 第1および第3の複数のチューブ(20、22、24、20b、22b、24b)が左方向螺旋ねじれで、第2の複数のチューブ(62、64、66)が右方向螺旋ねじれである請求項4に記載の熱交換器。
- 上記第1、第2および第3のチューブバンドル(34、60、34a)の螺旋軸線(48、68、48a)が、上記第1、第2および第3チューブバンドル(48、68、48a)のそれぞれに接するチューブバンドルの仮想接線円筒の半径の和より小さい量だけ隣接するチューブバンドルからオフセットしている請求項5または6に記載の熱交換器。
- 少なくとも4つのチューブバンドル(34、34a、60、60a)をさらに備え、螺旋軸線線(48、48a、68、68a)が矩形に配置されるように上記チューブバンドル(34、34a、60、60a)が配置されている請求項1に記載の熱交換器。
- チューブバンドル全体の半分が右方向螺旋ねじれを有するチューブを有し、そのチューブバンドルの半数は左方向螺旋ねじれを有するチューブを有し、各チューブバンドルは、各右方向螺旋ねじれを有するチューブバンドルが各左方向螺旋ねじれを有するチューブバンドルにのみ隣接するように配置されている請求項8に記載の熱交換器。
- 第1流体が内燃エンジンからの排ガスである請求項1に記載の熱交換器。
- 第2流体が内燃エンジンの冷却システムからの冷却液である請求項10に記載の熱交換器。
