Description
The present invention relates to a pulse pattern generator for generating an arbitrary digital signal used for testing the transfer characteristic of a digital signal of a device under test, an error detector and a pulse for detecting an error in the digital signal. The present invention relates to an error detection device comprising a pattern generator and an error detector. In this error detection device, particularly when setting measurement parameters for setting measurement conditions of an error detection system comprising an error detection device having a plurality of measurement channels. The present invention relates to a measurement parameter setting control device and a measurement parameter setting control method for improving operability by matching measurement parameters of each measurement channel.
In recent years, various digital communication apparatuses are required to have a larger capacity transmission capability with the increase in the number of users and the spread of multimedia communication. A bit error rate (Bit Error Rate) defined as a comparison between the number of received code errors and the total number of received data as one of indexes for evaluating the quality of digital signals in these digital communication apparatuses. It has been known.
In addition, a test signal including fixed data is transmitted to a device under test (Device Under Test) such as a photoelectric conversion component for performing communication defined by a communication standard to be tested, and input via the device under test. As an apparatus for detecting the error rate of a signal under measurement by comparing the signal under measurement with a reference signal as a reference and detecting the error rate of the signal under measurement, for example, an error rate measurement apparatus as disclosed in Patent Document 1 below is known. is there.
FIG. 6 is a schematic configuration diagram of a conventional error detection system disclosed in Patent Document 1 below. As illustrated, the
In addition, since the device under
By the way, when a plurality of measurement channels are provided as in the conventional error detection system, when setting a measurement parameter for setting measurement conditions, after setting a measurement parameter for any one measurement channel, a plurality of other measurement channels are set. When making the corresponding measurement parameters the same in the measurement channels, it is necessary to set the measurement parameters of the other plurality of measurement channels for each measurement channel. For example, in an error detection system having four measurement channels, four measurement parameter setting operations are required. Thus, even when it is desired to make the measurement parameters of all the measurement channels the same, it is necessary to set the number of measurement channels, and the setting work is complicated. For this reason, there is a problem that the operation becomes extremely complicated, and there is a problem that optimal measurement cannot be performed due to forgotten setting or wrong setting for each measurement channel.
Moreover, the error detection device is usually composed of a combination of a pulse pattern generator on the transmission side and an error detector on the reception side, and even if the measurement parameters are common to the pulse pattern generator and the error detector. The measurement parameter setting is independently provided for each measurement channel of the pulse pattern generator or the error detector.
Here, it may be necessary to set the measurement parameters shared by the pulse pattern generator and the error detector to be the same. In this case, conventionally, for example, an error detection system having four measurement channels requires four measurement parameter setting operations with a pulse pattern generator, and four measurement parameter setting operations with an error detector. There was a problem that the setting operation was required many times.
Furthermore, if there are three measurement parameters shared between the pulse pattern generator and the error detector, for example, three items are set for each of the pulse pattern generator and the error detector and set for four measurement channels. Therefore, since a total of 24 setting operations are required, the operation becomes extremely complicated, and there is a problem that the optimum measurement cannot be performed due to forgetting or setting mistakes for each measurement channel. The device under
Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and a measurement parameter setting control device capable of matching the measurement parameters of an error detection system having a plurality of measurement channels and simplifying the setting operation, and An object of the present invention is to provide a measurement parameter setting control method.

According to the measurement parameter setting control device and the measurement parameter setting control method of the present invention, after setting the measurement parameter of any one measurement channel when setting the measurement parameter for setting the measurement condition, When the corresponding measurement parameters are the same, it is not necessary to set the measurement parameters of the other plurality of measurement channels for each measurement channel.
