Description
(2)上記バナジン酸ビスマス層を焼成処理する工程を更に含む上記(1)に記載の製造方法。
(3)上記前駆体溶液への尿素の添加の有無及び添加量、並びに上記マイクロ波支援化学浴析出法において用いるマイクロ波の照射出力及び照射時間から選択される少なくとも1つを変えることにより、上記バナジン酸ビスマス層の結晶相におけるジルコン構造テトラゴナル相(z−t相)及びシーライト構造モノクリニック相(s−m相)の割合を変える上記(1)又は(2)に記載の製造方法。
(4)上記焼成処理における焼成温度及び焼成時間の少なくとも一方を変えることにより、上記バナジン酸ビスマス層の結晶相におけるジルコン構造テトラゴナル相(z−t相)及びシーライト構造モノクリニック相(s−m相)の割合を変える上記(2)に記載の製造方法。
(5)上記バナジン酸ビスマス層を平面視したとき、シーライト構造モノクリニック相(s−m相)の結晶が上記基板に占める面積割合が60〜100%である上記(1)から(4)のいずれかに記載の製造方法。
(6)上記マイクロ波支援化学浴析出法により、上記基板上に第1のバナジン酸ビスマス層を形成する工程と、
上記第1のバナジン酸ビスマス層上にバナジウム塩とビスマス塩とを含む前駆体塗布溶液を塗布して焼成することにより、上記第1のバナジン酸ビスマス層上に第2のバナジン酸ビスマス層を形成する工程とを含む上記(1)に記載の製造方法。
(7)上記第1のバナジン酸ビスマス層の結晶相がジルコン構造テトラゴナル相(z−t相)であり、上記第2のバナジン酸ビスマス層の結晶相がシーライト構造モノクリニック相(s−m相)である上記(6)に記載の製造方法。
(8)上記(1)から(7)のいずれかに記載の製造方法により製造されるバナジン酸ビスマス積層体。
(9)透明基板上にフッ素ドープ酸化錫膜を有し、上記フッ素ドープ酸化錫膜の上にバナジン酸ビスマス層を有するバナジン酸ビスマス積層体であって、上記バナジン酸ビスマス層のX線回折パターンにおいて、2θ=31°近傍で観測される回折線のピーク値が2θ=28°近傍で観測される回折線のピーク値よりも大きいバナジン酸ビスマス積層体。
なお、本発明において、近傍とは、±0.5°を意味する。
バナジウム塩としては、塩化バナジウム、メタバナジン酸アンモニウム、オキシ塩化バナジウム、オキシ硫酸バナジウム、五酸化バナジウム等が挙げられ、これらの中でも、メタバナジン酸アンモニウムが好ましい。
ビスマス塩としては、硝酸ビスマス、塩化ビスマス、三酸化ビスマス、オキシ炭酸ビスマス、オキシ塩化ビスマス、水酸化ビスマス等が挙げられ、これらの中でも硝酸ビスマスが好ましい。
上記前駆体溶液には、pHの調製のために他に酸を含んでもよい。酸としては、硝酸、塩酸、硫酸等が挙げられる。
このため、上記前駆体溶液に添加する尿素の量が多いほど、z−t相の割合が高くなる。
上記前駆体塗布溶液には、pH調整のために他の酸を含んでもよい。酸としては、硝酸、塩酸、硫酸等が挙げられる。
500ml容のセパラブル平底フラスコ中で、NH4VO3の0.15mol/lの硝酸(1mol/l)溶液25mlとBi(NO3)3・5H2Oの0.15mol/lの硝酸(1mol/l)溶液25mlとを混合し、前駆体溶液を調製した。5cm×5cmのFTOガラス基板(AGCファブリック製;A−110U80、20Ω/sq)をガラス面を下にして上記の平底フラスコ内の底に1枚配置した。セパラブル平底フラスコに冷却管を取り付け、マイクロ波合成装置(EYELA;MWO−1000)に設置した。周波数2.45GHzのマイクロ波を300Wで10分間照射したところ、FTO層の上にBiVO4層が積層した積層体が得られた。積層体を取り出し、純水で洗浄後、乾燥した。
この積層体の断面についてSEMで観察した結果を図1(b)に示す。FTO層の上にBiVO4のz−t相の結晶があり、その上にs−m相の結晶が存在していた。
マイクロ波の照射を300Wで30分間とする他は、試験例1と同様にしてFTOガラス基板上にBiVO4層を積層させた。得られた積層体のBiVO4層をSEMで観察した結果を図3(a)に示す。BiVO4のs−m相の結晶が観察されたが、z−t相の結晶は観察されなかった。また、s−m相の結晶は、正方形様の面を基板に対して平行にして密に存在していた。試験例1と同様にしてs−m相被覆率を求めたところ、93%であった。
この積層体の断面についてSEMで観察した結果を図3(b)に示す。FTO層の上にはBiVO4のs−m相の結晶があるが、z−t相の結晶は観察されなかった。このように、試験例1に比べ、マイクロ波の照射時間を長くすると、s−m相の割合が多くなった。
フラスコ中に、NH4VO3の0.15mol/lの硝酸(1mol/l)溶液25mlとBi(NO3)3・5H2Oの0.15mol/lの硝酸(1mol/l)溶液25mlとを混合した。この溶液に尿素3gを加えて溶解させた。これをマイクロ波合成装置に設置し、周波数2.45GHzのマイクロ波を500Wで60分間照射したところ、溶液中にBiVO4粉末が析出した。BiVO4粉末を濾過し、水で洗浄後、乾燥した。この粉末を溶解アセチレン(溶媒:アセトン)と混合した後、水を加えてペースト状にした。これをFTOガラス基板のFTO層の上にスキージ法で塗布し、乾燥させた後、400℃で1時間焼成した。この基板のBiVO4塗布面をSEMで観察した結果を図4に示す。FTO層の上にはBiVO4の結晶が乱雑に存在していた。ラマンスペクトルの結果から、この結晶はs−m相であることがわかった。
試験例1で得られた積層体を350℃で1時間焼成処理した。その後、試験例1と同様にしてs−m相被覆率、z−t相被覆率を求めたところ、s−m相被覆率が90%であり、z−t相被覆率が1%であった。
試験例1のBiVO4層のX線回折パターンを図5(a)に、試験例3のBiVO4層のX線回折パターンを図5(b)に示す。
試験例1で得られた積層体を400℃で1時間焼成処理した。その後、試験例1と同様にしてs−m相被覆率、z−t相被覆率を求めたところ、s−m相被覆率が90%であり、z−t相被覆率が1%であった。
試験例4のBiVO4層のX線回折パターンを図5(c)に示す。
試験例1で得られた積層体を450℃で1時間焼成処理した。その後、試験例1と同様にしてs−m相被覆率、z−t相被覆率を求めたところ、s−m相被覆率が90%であり、z−t相被覆率が1%であった。
試験例5のBiVO4層のX線回折パターンを図5(d)に示す。
前駆体溶液に尿素を1g添加する他は、試験例1と同様にして積層体を得た。得られた積層体のBiVO4層をSEMで観察した様子を図6に示す。試験例1で得られたBiVO4層と同様に、z−t相の結晶の上にs−m相の結晶が存在していた。s−m相の結晶は、正方形様の面を基板に対して平行にして存在していたが、試験例1で得られたBiVO4層の場合に比べてその数は少なかった。試験例1と同様にしてs−m相被覆率、z−t相被覆率を求めたところ、s−m相被覆率が61%であり、z−t相被覆率が35%であった。
試験例6で得られた積層体を400℃で1時間焼成処理した。その後、試験例1と同様にしてs−m相被覆率、z−t相被覆率を求めたところ、s−m相被覆率が61%であり、z−t相被覆率が35%であった。
前駆体溶液に尿素を3g添加する他は、試験例1と同様にして積層体を得た。得られた積層体のBiVO4層をSEMで観察したところ、ほとんどz−t相の結晶で覆われた表面であることがわかった。試験例1と同様にしてs−m相被覆率、z−t相被覆率を求めたところ、s−m相被覆率が4%であり、z−t相被覆率が96%であった。
試験例8で得られた積層体を400℃で1時間焼成処理した。得られた積層体のBiVO4層をSEMで観察した様子を図7に示す。ほとんどz−t相の結晶で覆われた表面であることがわかった。試験例1と同様にしてs−m相被覆率、z−t相被覆率を求めたところ、s−m相被覆率が4%であり、z−t相被覆率が96%であった。
試験例9で得られた積層体を500℃で2時間焼成処理した。得られた積層体のBiVO4層をSEMで観察した様子を図8に示す。緻密なs−m相の結晶で覆われた表面であることがわかった。試験例1と同様にしてs−m相被覆率、z−t相被覆率を求めたところ、s−m相被覆率が99%であり、z−t相被覆率が0%であった。
このことから、試験例8のように、尿素を多く含む前駆体溶液中で形成されたBiVO4層にはz−t相が多く含まれるため、焼成温度を高くしたり、焼成時間を長くしたりしないと、z−t相からs−m相への変換が困難であることがわかった。
試験例1〜10、及び参考例1で得られた積層体について、それぞれ、積層体のBiVO4層の一部を削り取り、FTOを露出させた。そこに銅線を銀ペーストで接着し、アラルダイトでFTO露出部分を覆い、BiVO4電極を作成した。試験例1〜10で得られたBiVO4層は、いずれも基板との密着性が良好であった。
マイクロ波の照射を300Wで3分間とする他は、試験例1と同様にして積層体を得た後、得られた積層体を300℃で1時間焼成処理した。得られた積層体についてSEMで観察した結果を図14に示す。FTO層の上にBiVO4のz−t相の結晶があり、その上にs−m相の結晶が存在していた。試験例1と同様にしてs−m相被覆率、z−t相被覆率を求めたところ、s−m相被覆率が54%であり、z−t相被覆率が44%であった。
マイクロ波の照射を300Wで1分間とする他は、試験例1と同様にしてFTOガラス基板上に第1のBiVO4層を積層させた。なお、第1のBiVO4層の結晶相はz−t相であった。
一方、0.2mol/lのNH4VO3と0.2mol/lのBi(NO3)3とを含む硝酸(3mol/l)水溶液である前駆体塗布溶液を調製した。この前駆体塗布溶液を第1のBiVO4層が形成されたFTOガラス基板に3μl/cm2滴下した後、室温で乾燥し、塗布膜を形成した。その後、基板を400℃で1時間焼成したところ、第1のBiVO4層の上に第2のBiVO4層が積層した積層体が得られた。
第1のBiVO4層を形成しない他は、試験例12と同様にして積層体を得た。得られた積層体の断面についてSEMで観察した結果を図17に示す。FTO層の上にBiVO4のs−m相の緻密な結晶が存在していた。試験例1と同様にしてs−m相被覆率、z−t相被覆率を求めたところ、s−m相被覆率が100%であり、z−t相被覆率が0%であった。
試験例11、12、及び参考例2で得られた積層体について、上記[光電極としての評価1]と同様にしてBiVO4電極を作成した。そして、3極式の装置において、BiVO4電極を陽極、対極を陰極として電気的に接続し、掃引速度20mV/秒でサイクリックボルタンメトリー測定を行った。掃引中、光の照射を断続的に行い、電圧を徐々に下げて測定した。
Claims (8)
- バナジウム塩とビスマス塩とを含む前駆体溶液中に、マイクロ波で加熱可能な基板を配置し、マイクロ波支援化学浴析出法(MW−CBD)により、前記基板上にバナジン酸ビスマス層を形成する工程を含むバナジン酸ビスマス積層体の製造方法。
- 前記バナジン酸ビスマス層を焼成処理する工程を更に含む請求項1に記載の製造方法。
- 前記前駆体溶液への尿素の添加の有無及び添加量、並びに前記マイクロ波支援化学浴析出法において用いるマイクロ波の照射出力及び照射時間から選択される少なくとも1つを変えることにより、前記バナジン酸ビスマス層の結晶相におけるジルコン構造テトラゴナル相及びシーライト構造モノクリニック相の割合を変える請求項1又は2に記載の製造方法。
- 前記焼成処理における焼成温度及び焼成時間の少なくとも一方を変えることにより、前記バナジン酸ビスマス層の結晶相におけるジルコン構造テトラゴナル相及びシーライト構造モノクリニック相の割合を変える請求項2に記載の製造方法。
- 前記バナジン酸ビスマス層を平面視したとき、シーライト構造モノクリニック相の結晶が前記基板に占める面積割合が60〜100%である請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の製造方法。
- 前記マイクロ波支援化学浴析出法により、前記基板上に第1のバナジン酸ビスマス層を形成する工程と、
前記第1のバナジン酸ビスマス層上にバナジウム塩とビスマス塩とを含む前駆体塗布溶液を塗布して焼成することにより、前記第1のバナジン酸ビスマス層上に第2のバナジン酸ビスマス層を形成する工程とを含む請求項1に記載の製造方法。 - 前記第1のバナジン酸ビスマス層の結晶相がジルコン構造テトラゴナル相であり、前記第2のバナジン酸ビスマス層の結晶相がシーライト構造モノクリニック相である請求項6に記載の製造方法。
- 透明基板上にフッ素ドープ酸化錫膜を有し、前記フッ素ドープ酸化錫膜の上にバナジン酸ビスマス層を有するバナジン酸ビスマス積層体であって、前記バナジン酸ビスマス層のX線回折パターンにおいて、2θ=31°近傍で観測される回折線のピーク値が2θ=28°近傍で観測される回折線のピーク値よりも大きいバナジン酸ビスマス積層体。
