Description
以下に、本願出願の当初の特許請求の範囲に記載された発明を付記する。
[1]内殻と、外殻と、前記内殻と外殻との間に配置された断熱材と、前記内殻によって規定されたキャビティに連通する端部を有する流入管と、エンジン排気を処理するために前記内殻のなかに配置された基体と、前記内殻と外殻との間に配置された金属取付リングと、を具備し、前記金属取付リングは締結具を受け取る取付手段を含むことを特徴とする排気処理装置。
[2]前記取付リングに連結され、それ自体と前記外殻との間に前記取付板が保持されるように前記外殻に固定されるリング被覆板をさらに含むことを特徴とする[1]に記載の排気処理装置。
[3]前記リングは、実質的に平らな端面壁により相互に接続された円筒状内壁および円筒状外壁を持つC形状断面を含むことを特徴とする[2]に記載の排気処理装置。
[4]前記取付手段は、前記端面壁内に延びるネジ穴を含むことを特徴とする[3]に記載の排気処理装置。
[5]前記断熱材は、前記内殻と前記リング被覆板との間に挟まれていることを特徴とする[2]に記載の排気処理装置。
[6]前記取付リングは、前記キャビティと同じく前記断熱の対向側にあることを特徴とする[5]に記載の排気処理装置。
[7]前記基体と同軸に配列され、前記内殻のなかに配置された第2の基体をさらに有することを特徴とする[1]に記載の排気処理装置。
[8]前記金属取付リングは、ダクタイル鋳鉄合金を鋳造したものであることを特徴とする[1]に記載の排気処理装置。
[9]前記リングは、前記外殻に固定されていることを特徴とする[1]に記載の排気処理装置。
[10]前記基体に流入する前に排気が通るように配置された複数の孔を有する気流拡散板をさらに含むことを特徴とする[1]に記載の排気処理装置。
[11]前記内殻は外方に延び出す突起を含み、前記リング被覆板は内方に延び出すボスを含み、前記突起は前記ボスと係合し、かつ前記ボスに固定されていることを特徴とする[2]に記載の排気処理装置。
[12]前記外殻は、前記ボスに入れ子になり、かつ前記ボスに固定された内方延出突起を含むことを特徴とする[11]に記載の排気処理装置。
[13]内殻と、外殻と、前記内殻と外殻との間に配置された断熱材と、前記内殻によって規定されたキャビティに連通する端部を有する流入管と、エンジン排気を処理するために前記内殻のなかに配置された基体と、取付手段を含む鋳造金属取付部材と、前記取付部材に連結され、前記外殻との間に前記取付部材を保持するために前記外殻に固定された被覆板と、を有することを特徴とする排気処理装置。
[14]前記断熱材は、前記外殻と前記被覆板との間に挟まれていることを特徴とする[13]に記載の排気処理装置。
[15]前記取付部材は、前記キャビティと同じく前記断熱の対向側にあることを特徴とする[14]に記載の排気処理装置。
[16]前記内殻は外方に延び出す突起を含み、前記被覆板は内方に延び出すボスを含み、前記突起は前記ボスと係合し、かつ前記ボスに固定されていることを特徴とする[13]に記載の排気処理装置。
[17]前記外殻は、前記ボスに入れ子になり、かつ前記ボスに固定された内方延出突起を含むことを特徴とする[16]に記載の排気処理装置。
[18]前記取付部材は、前記外殻に溶接されていることを特徴とする[13]に記載の排気処理装置。
[19]前記取付部材は、途切れがないリング形状であることを特徴とする[13]に記載の排気処理装置。

Claims (13)
- 内殻、外殻、および前記内殻と前記外殻との間の断熱材を含むハウジングと、
前記ハウジング内のキャビティに連通する端部を持つ流入管と、
前記ハウジング内に配置され、エンジン排気を処理する排気処理エレメントと、
被覆板と、
排気処理装置を支持し、前記被覆板により覆われ、前記被覆板と前記外殻との間に配置され、前記外殻の内面に係合される外面を含み、取付手段を含む金属取付部材と、
を具備し、
前記被覆板は、前記取付部材の内面を覆い、前記取付部材に係合され、前記外殻との間に前記取付部材が保持されるように前記外殻に直接固定されていることを特徴とする排気処理装置。 - 前記被覆板および前記取付部材は前記ハウジング内に配置され、前記ハウジングは前記取付手段に対して位置が揃えられた孔を含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の排気処理装置。
- 前記取付手段は前記取付部材内に受口を含み、前記受口に対して前記孔が位置揃えされていることを特徴とする請求項2記載の排気処理装置。
- 前記ハウジングは湾曲面を含み、前記取付部材は前記湾曲面を補う形状に形成された合せ面を含み、該合せ面は前記湾曲面に係合され、前記被覆板は前記ハウジングに固定され、前記ハウジングに前記取付部材が接合されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の排気処理装置。
- 前記被覆板が前記取付部材に接していることを特徴とする請求項4記載の排気処理装置。
- 前記被覆板とともに前記湾曲面は、前記取付部材を包み込むことを特徴とする請求項4記載の排気処理装置。
- 前記内殻は、金属内管と、前記内管の一端を閉止する内端面板とを含み、
前記外殻は、前記内管を取り囲む金属外管と、前記外管の一端を閉止する外端面板とを含み、
前記取付部材は前記外端面板に接していることを特徴とする請求項1記載の排気処理装置。 - 前記断熱材は、前記内端面板と前記外端面板との間に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項7記載の排気処理装置。
- 前記被覆板は、前記外端面板に固定されていることを特徴とする請求項8記載の排気処理装置。
- 前記被覆板は、前記外管に固定されていることを特徴とする請求項8記載の排気処理装置。
- 前記被覆板および前記外殻は、前記取付部材を包み込むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の排気処理装置。
- 前記取付部材は、切れ目のないリングを含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の排気処理装置。
- 前記内殻、前記外殻、および前記被覆板は、共通の箇所において相互に固定されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の排気処理装置。
