Description
The present invention relates to a stripper guide repair method, and more specifically, a stripper guide that is provided on the exit side of a rolling mill and that is used by fitting a rear end side to a rest bar and bringing a front end part into contact with a rolling roll. The present invention relates to a stripper guide repair method for repairing a stripper guide to an initial shape when the wear of the stripper progresses and the function as the stripper guide decreases.
Generally, a hot rolling facility is provided with a stripper guide as a rolling mill exit device (see, for example, Patent Document 1). As shown in FIG. 7, the
The
The stripper guide in which such a problem has occurred or immediately before the occurrence is no longer usable. Therefore, the
Since the stripper guide is disposable as described above, the cost for purchasing or manufacturing a new stripper guide is required as wear progresses. Therefore, the present invention is based on the length of the stripper guide from the fixing portion to the distal end portion of the stripper guide as it is, because the wear of the distal end portion has progressed and is no longer usable. An object of the present invention is to provide a method for repairing a stripper guide that repairs the length of the stripper guide.
The present inventors have intensively studied to solve the above-mentioned problems, and as a result, the portion whose overall length is shortened due to wear of the tip end portion of the stripper guide is welded and joined to the rear end side. Thus, the present inventors have concluded that the stripper guide can be repaired without deteriorating durability such as strength and toughness of the tip portion of the stripper guide, and the present invention has been completed.
That is, the gist configuration of the present invention is:
(1) A stripper guide repairing method that is provided on the exit side of a rolling mill and has a fitting groove that fits a rest bar on the rear end side, and uses the tip end portion in contact with a rolling roll. A step of welding and joining a block having a length sufficient to compensate for the shortening of the length from the fitting groove to the tip of the stripper guide due to wear of the strip portion on the rear end side of the stripper guide; Processing the rear end side after joining the blocks into a fitting groove that can be fitted to the rest bar and whose length to the tip is returned to the initial length (L). A stripper guide repairing method characterized by the above.
According to the present invention, the stripper guide whose tip is worn can be repaired and reused without being discarded, so that the cost for using the stripper guide can be saved.
The present inventors examined whether a stripper guide whose tip is worn and shortened as shown in FIG. 8 can be repaired instead of being discarded. The contents of the study are described below.
The target stripper guide is provided on a rolling roll of a hole rolling mill for manufacturing a shape steel, specifically, a rail. FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a state in which a material to be rolled is rolled by a hole mill, and FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing an installation state of a stripper guide in the hole mill. FIG. 3 is a side view of the stripper guide.
As shown in FIG. 1, a pair of upper and lower
As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the
The inventors have considered that such a
Taking the one for the rolling roll shown in FIG. 3 as an example, the distal end portion of the
The method shown in FIG. 4 can be considered as a method of repairing the
Therefore, the inventors cut the
When the
Further, when the stress applied to the stripper guide when the stripper guide is used is analyzed, the stress applied to the
Therefore, as a result of analysis of the stress applied to the stripper guide, the present inventors pay attention to the fact that a large stress is not applied even when the stripper guide is used in the vicinity of the rear end portion of the stripper guide. We can avoid the risk of breakage when using a stripper guide after repair by welding and joining the shortened material to the rear end side and then machining the rear end side. The present invention was completed.
FIG. 6 is a conceptual diagram showing a stripper guide repairing method according to an embodiment of the present invention.
FIG. 6A shows the
In the present embodiment, first, as shown in FIG. 6B, the rear end of the
Next, as shown in FIG. 6C, a
As described above, the state shown in FIG. 6A is changed to the state shown in FIG. 6C, and the length from the fixing portion of the
Next, a step of processing the rear end side after joining the
Specifically, first, as shown in FIG. 6 (d), a block 35 (hereinafter referred to as a fitting groove front block 35) is replaced with a
Next, as shown in FIG. 6E, the
As a result, the length from the
Note that the guide surface after welding the
In the above-described embodiment, the
Further, in the above-described embodiment, after the step of welding and replenishing the
Further, the above-described embodiment is a method for repairing the
