Description
The present invention relates to an improvement of a tilt type steering apparatus provided with a tilt mechanism that can adjust a height position of a steering wheel according to a driver's physique and driving posture. In particular, the present invention aims to improve the function of the buffer member engaged with the vertically elongated hole.
The automobile steering device is configured as shown in FIG. 7, and transmits the rotation of the
It is widely used that the above-described steering device is a tilt type steering device incorporating a tilt mechanism for adjusting the height position of the
Since the present invention relates to the improvement of the conventional structures described in
8 to 12 of FIGS. 8 to 13 show the structure described in
The structure shown in the figure includes a telescopic mechanism that can adjust the front-rear position in addition to a tilt mechanism that can adjust the height position of the steering wheel 1 (see FIG. 7). For this reason, in the case of the structure shown in the figure, as the
Further, the
The displacement-
The fixed
Further, the adjusting
The driven
The
The adjusting
The receiving
The
Further, the
When the height position of the
When the
In the example shown in the figure, an elastic lock that engages with a locking
In the case of the tilt-type steering device as described above, as shown in FIG. 14, the front and
For this reason , when the rotational force in any direction centering on the
In view of the circumstances as described above, the present invention has been invented to realize a structure capable of suppressing the occurrence of metal collision between the front and rear side edges of the vertically elongated hole and the front and rear side surfaces of the engaging convex portion. Is.
In the tilt type steering apparatus of the present invention, a low rigidity portion having a lower rigidity than that of the surrounding portion is provided on a part of the buffer member assembled to the engaging convex portion protruding from the inner surface of the driven cam. Thus, it is possible to suppress the occurrence of metal collision between the front and rear side edges of the vertically elongated hole and the front and rear side surfaces of the engaging projection.

In particular, in the tilt type steering device of the present invention, the front and rear end portions of the two buffer portions are each provided with a low-rigidity portion whose rigidity has been reduced by providing a thinning portion on its inner side. The low-rigidity part protrudes in the front-rear direction from both front and rear side surfaces of the engaging convex part.
Further, when carrying out the present invention, in addition, in a neutral state in which no rotational force is applied in the direction of expanding the axial dimension of the cam device from the driving side cam to the driven side cam, Only the low-rigidity portions can be elastically brought into contact with the front and rear side edges of the other vertical slot without contacting the front and rear side surfaces of the engagement convex portion.
When the present invention is carried out, for example, as in the invention described in
When implementing the tilt type steering apparatus of the present invention as described above, preferably, the shape of both the buffer portions is a rotationally symmetric shape (two-rotating axis symmetry) about the central axis of the adjusting rod.
Moreover, when implementing this invention, Preferably, a receiving bracket , a rocking | fluctuation arm, and a rocking | swiveling transmission part are provided additionally.
Of these, the receiving bracket is provided with a female gear on its inner surface, and is provided with a concave groove that is long in the direction along the vertical slot and opens forward or backward, and the other support plate portion Secure to the outer surface of the.
The swing arm is provided with a male gear that can be engaged with and disengaged from the female gear at one end thereof, and a part of the outer surface of the support plate portion provided with the other vertically elongated hole. In addition, a swing displacement about the adjusting rod is supported.
The swing transmitting portion is provided between the swing arm and the adjustment lever. Such a rocking transmission portion engages the female gear and the male gear with the axial dimension of the cam device expanded based on the rocking of the adjusting lever. The swing arm is swung in a direction to disengage the two gears in a state where the axial dimension of the gear is reduced.
When the present invention as described above is carried out, for example, a protrusion-side protrusion that protrudes in the vertical direction is provided on each of the front and rear ends of the upper and lower end faces of the engagement protrusion, and the both buffer portions When the buffer part side protrusion part which protrudes in the up-and-down direction is provided in a part in the front-rear direction part of the end surfaces facing each other, and when the axial dimension of the cam device is expanded among the front and rear side surfaces of the both protrusion side protrusion parts Adopting a configuration in which the front side surface related to the tightening direction, which is the rotation direction of the drive side cam, and the rear side surface related to the tightening direction among the front and rear side surfaces of the both buffer portion side protrusions are brought into contact with each other. You can also do it.
Further, when such a configuration is adopted, preferably, the width dimension in the front-rear direction of the two buffer part side protrusions is equal to or greater than ½ of the width dimension in the front-rear direction of the opposite end surfaces of the buffer parts ( More preferably, it is 2/3 or more.
In the case of adopting the configuration as described above, it is more preferable that the upper and lower end surfaces of the engagement convex portion and the end surfaces facing each other of the buffer portions are respectively centered on the central axis of the adjusting rod. Rotating symmetrical shape.
According to the tilt type steering apparatus of the present invention configured as described above, a rotational force in any direction centering on the adjustment rod acts on the engaging convex portion, and the engaging convex portion rotates in the same direction. Even in this case, based on the presence of the two buffer portions provided with the respective low rigidity portions , the collision between the metal between the front and rear side surfaces of the engaging convex portion and the front and rear side edges of the other vertical slot is caused. It can be suppressed. Alternatively, even if such a collision between metals occurs, the momentum of the collision can be reduced based on the elasticity of each low-rigidity portion. Therefore, the generation of abnormal noise due to this collision can be suppressed.
Further, when the present invention is carried out , in the neutral state, only the low-rigidity portions are brought into contact with the front and rear side edges of the other vertical slot without contacting the front and rear side surfaces of the engagement convex portion. In the neutral state, the low rigidity portions are in elastic contact with the front and rear side edges of the other vertical slot. Since the rigidity of the portion is low, the contact pressure against the front and rear side edges can be kept low. Accordingly, the frictional force acting on each of the contact portions can be kept small. As a result, when the height position of the steering wheel is adjusted, the engagement convex portion and the buffer member can be smoothly moved with a light force along the other vertical slot. For this reason, the smoothness of the adjustment of the height position of the steering wheel can be ensured. Further, based on the elasticity of each of the low-rigidity portions, the engagement convex portion can be prevented from rattling in the rotational direction inside the other vertical slot. For this reason, the uncomfortable feeling which is transmitted to the driver | operator's hand which operates an adjustment lever and is the feeling of shakiness of the rotation direction of the said engagement convex part is suppressed. Accordingly, the operational feeling of the adjustment lever can be improved accordingly.
Further, if adopting a configuration in which the shape of the both buffer portions is a rotationally symmetrical shape around the central axis of the adjusting rod, the engagement convex portion of the driven cam and the both buffer portions of the buffer member, Since there is no need to regulate the upper and lower combination directions, the assembly work can be facilitated.
Further, if a configuration in which the receiving bracket, the swing arm, and the swing transmission portion are additionally provided as described above is adopted, the steering wheel is based on the engagement between the female gear and the male gear. Therefore, the axial force generated by the cam device formed by combining the driven cam and the driving cam can be kept small. The axial force need only be large enough that the displacement side bracket does not rattle inside the fixed side bracket. The fact that the axial force can be kept low leads to the fact that the rotational force in the same direction applied to the driven cam can be kept low when the driving cam is rotated in the tightening direction by the adjusting lever. And it can lead to becoming easy to secure the endurance of this buffer member, suppressing the rotational force transmitted to a buffer member from an engagement convex part that this rotational force can be suppressed low.
1 to 6 show an example of an embodiment of the present invention. The feature of this example is the shape of the
Also in this example, as in the case of the above-described conventional structure, the
In the case of this example, the upper and lower end surfaces of the engaging
In the case of this example, at the upper and lower corners of the
In the case of this example, at least the position of the steering wheel 1 (see FIG. 7) can be adjusted, that is, the tightening direction (arrow α direction) from the driving
In the case of this example, the entire shape of the driven
In the case of the tilt type steering apparatus of this example configured as described above, after the position of the
In the case of this example, when the engaging
On the other hand, from the state shown in FIG. 5, when the driving
In the case of the tilt type steering apparatus of the present example configured as described above, the engagement convex portion is caused by a rotational force acting in any direction centering on the
In the case of this example, in the neutral state shown in FIG. 4, the low-
As in the conventional structure shown in FIG. 14, the
To prevent the adjustment lever from deteriorating, and to prevent the generation of unpleasant noise caused by metal collision between the front and rear side surfaces of the engaging projection and the front and rear side edges of the vertical slot. For example, with respect to the structure shown in FIG. 14, both front and rear end portions of both
Further, according to the tilt type steering device of this example, the durability of the
In the case of the structure of the present invention including this example, the height position of the
As described above, the feature of the present invention is that the engagement convex portion protruding from the inner surface of the driven cam and the pair of buffer portions constituting the buffer member assembled to the engagement convex portion. In the structure. When practicing the present invention, the same structure as that of the present invention is adopted for the engagement convex portion on the base end side of the adjustment rod and the pair of buffer portions constituting the buffer member assembled to the engagement convex portion. Although it is preferable, it is not always necessary to adopt it.
Further, when implementing the present invention, the shape of the pair of vertically elongated holes is not limited to a partial arc shape centered on the tilt axis, but may be a simple linear shape.
Further, when implementing the present invention, it is not always necessary to provide a telescopic mechanism for adjusting the front-rear position of the steering wheel. Even when a telescopic mechanism is provided, the structure is not limited to the structure shown in FIGS. 8 to 12 described above, and a more general structure described in, for example,
