Description
図1にはエンジンルーム9内に配置された内燃機関1が示されている。エンジン1は、船舶又は船の補助エンジン、又は発電所の発電及び/又は熱生成に使用されるエンジンのような大型の内燃機関である。エンジン1はターボチャージャ2を備えている。ターボチャージャ2は、エンジンの排気ガスによって回転されるタービン2bとエンジン1の吸入空気を加圧するコンプレッサ2aを備えている。過剰な吸気を必要な場合にエンジン1を回避して案内するためにバイパス弁6を備えるバイパスダクト5がエンジン1の吸気ダクト13と排気ダクト14との間に設けられている。エンジン1の吸入空気はエンジンルーム9から取り入れられ、エンジン1のシリンダー12に連なる吸気ダクト13に案内される。排ガスダクト14は排気ガスをエンジンルーム9の外部に案内する。エンジン1には、また、必要な場合、排気ガスの一部をターボチャージャ2のタービン2bを回避して案内するためのウォーターゲイト7及びウォーターゲイト弁8を備えている。
加湿器3には、液体としての水がシリンダー12内に入ることを阻止する噴霧水捕捉器が設けられている。加湿器を使用する替わりに、水をエンジン1のシリンダー12内に直接注入することも可能である。
Claims (10)
- 吸入空気内の排ガス成分の濃度が、エンジンルーム内の空気のガス成分を測定することにより監視され、前記排ガス成分の濃度が予め設定された制限値を超えたとき、エンジンの吸気ダクト内又はシリンダー内への注水が停止されることを特徴とする、エンジンルーム内に配置された内燃機関の運転方法。
- 前記排ガス成分の濃度はエンジンの吸気システムから測定されることを特徴とする、請求項1の方法。
- 前記排ガス成分の濃度は、予め設定された制限値と比較されることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記排ガス成分の濃度が予め設定された制限値を超えたとき、アラームを起動することを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 濃度が測定される前記排ガス成分はSO2であることを特徴とする、請求項1乃至4のいずれかの請求項に記載の方法。
- エンジンルーム内の空気中の排ガス成分の濃度を監視するための手段と、前記排ガス成分の濃度が予め設定された制限値を超えたとき、エンジンの吸気ダクト内又はシリンダー内への注水を停止する手段を備えることを特徴とする、エンジンルーム内に配置された内燃機関を備える内燃機関装置。
- エンジンの吸気システム内の排ガス成分の濃度を測定する手段を備えることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の装置。
- 測定された排ガス成分の濃度を予め設定した制限値と比較する手段を備えることを特徴とする、請求項6又は7に記載の装置。
- 排ガス成分の濃度が予め設定した制限値を超えたとき、アラームを起動する手段を備えることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の装置。
- 濃度が測定される排ガス成分はSO2であることを特徴とする、請求項6乃至9のいずれかの請求項に記載の装置。
