Description
また、研削切粉はそれ自体がカールしており、絡みやすい形状をしているので、切粉長さを短くするだけでは依然として絡みやすく、不水溶性研削液より切粉の分散性が劣る水溶性研削液ではその傾向が顕著である。研削切粉の大きさは研削条件によって変化し、潤滑性の違いによっても切粉形状が異なる。そのため、水溶性研削液を用いて切粉を砥石から速やかに排出させるための性能を引き出すためには、不水溶性件研削液に近い潤滑性と切粉の分散性を付与した水溶性研削液を用いる必要があり、界面活性剤の使用と極圧添加剤の使用により油剤面(研削液)からの改善を付与できることも発見した。本発明はこの知見に基づいて為されたものである。

Claims (7)
- ねじ状の砥石をその軸心まわりに回転させつつ軸心方向へ送りながら、歯車素材の軸心に平行な方向へ研削送りを行なうとともに該歯車素材を軸心まわりに順次回転させることで、水溶性研削液の存在下で常に砥粒の当たる位置を変化させて歯車の研削加工を行う連続創成式歯車研削方法であって、
前記砥石は、気孔が砥粒の間に形成された状態で該砥粒がビトリファイドボンドにより結合されたビトリファイド砥石であり、
前記砥粒の粒度は、F120〜F180である
ことを特徴とする連続創成式歯車研削方法。 - 前記ビトリファイド砥石は、40〜44体積%の砥粒体積率を備えることを特徴とする請求項1の連続創成式歯車研削方法。
- 前記ビトリファイド砥石は、砥石断面における複数箇所の単位面積当たりの前記砥粒を含む固形物の割合である砥粒面積率の度数分布図において、砥粒面積率の標準偏差を砥粒面積率の平均値で除算した変動係数が17以下の均質性を備えることを特徴とする請求項1または2の連続創成式歯車研削方法。
- 前記砥粒は、A系(アルミナ系)の多結晶砥粒であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか1の連続創成式歯車研削方法。
- 前記水溶性研削液は、ポリアルキレングリコール類および非イオン界面活性剤からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種、極圧添加剤から成る群から選ばれた少なくとも1種を金属加工液組成物中に含み、使用時の濃度が2.5質量%以上となるように水に希釈して使用することを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか1の連続創成式歯車研削方法。
- 前記金属加工液組成物は、0.5〜20質量%の非イオン界面活性剤およびポリアルキレングリコール類を含むことを特徴とする請求項5の連続創成式歯車研削方法。
- 前記金属加工液組成物は、5〜50質量%の極圧添加剤を含むことを特徴とする請求項5または6の連続創成式歯車研削方法。
