Description
The present invention comprises a reforming section that reforms a raw material containing hydrocarbons into a reformed gas containing hydrogen by steam reforming, and separates hydrogen from the reformed gas obtained in the reforming section to produce a product gas The present invention relates to a hydrogen production apparatus including a hydrogen separation unit that produces
An example of a hydrogen recovery method employed in such a hydrogen production apparatus is disclosed in Patent Document 1. In the method disclosed in Patent Document 1, in order to recover hydrogen from hydrogen gas containing a large amount of carbon dioxide, a PSA device is provided, and carbon dioxide is removed from off-gas (gas after hydrogen removal) released from the PSA device. To do. The gas after removing carbon dioxide is used as a part of a raw material gas for producing hydrogen, and a part thereof is used as a part of a fuel gas for generating a reforming reaction (Patent Document) 1, see FIG.
In the hydrogen production apparatus disclosed in Patent Document 1, hydrogen gas as a product gas is produced using hydrocarbons such as methane, natural gas, butane, and naphtha as a raw material gas.
In a hydrogen production apparatus that takes in a raw material gas into the apparatus and performs steam reforming and hydrogen separation, for example, if hydrogen production can be performed only by taking in the raw material gas, the control becomes simple and the operation of each device The condition and even the quality of the product is stable. From this point of view, the technique disclosed in Patent Document 1 is used when, for example, a hydrogen production state is established when hydrogen is produced using a source gas mainly composed of methane such as city gas. However, it is necessary to use the city gas as a reforming fuel, and there is room for improvement.
An object of the present invention is to provide a reformed raw material gas mainly composed of methane such as city gas to obtain a reformed gas, and separate hydrogen from the reformed gas to produce hydrogen. An object of the present invention is to obtain a hydrogen production apparatus that can operate independently only by supplying gas.

[Configuration 1]
In order to achieve the above object, the hydrogen production apparatus of the present invention comprises:
A reformer to which a raw material gas mainly composed of methane is supplied; and a CO converter to which a gas reformed by the reformer is supplied. In the reformer, the reformer includes The raw material gas is steam-reformed with heat generated by burning the fuel gas in a combustion apparatus to be contained in the gas obtained by steam reforming with the reformer in the CO converter. A reforming section for obtaining a reformed gas containing hydrogen and carbon dioxide by CO-transforming carbon oxide,
In a hydrogen production apparatus comprising a hydrogen separation unit that separates hydrogen from the reformed gas obtained in the reforming unit to obtain a product gas, and recovers the gas after separation of hydrogen as an off-gas,
An off-gas supply path for sending the entire amount of the off-gas as the fuel gas to the combustion apparatus, an off-gas flow rate detector for detecting a flow rate of off-gas flowing through the off-gas supply path, and an off-gas supply path to the combustion apparatus are supplied. Provided with an oxygen-containing gas supply path for supplying oxygen-containing gas necessary for the combustion of the coming off gas,
A self-operating control means is provided for controlling the amount of oxygen-containing gas supplied to the combustion device via the oxygen-containing gas supply path based on the off-gas flow rate detected by the off-gas flow rate detector.
[Operation effect 1]
According to the above configuration, the raw material gas mainly composed of methane can be steam-reformed and CO-converted in the reforming unit to generate a reformed gas containing hydrogen, and in the hydrogen separation unit Thus, hydrogen can be separated from the generated reformed gas to obtain a high-purity product gas. Therefore, for example, the product gas can be supplied on-site to a hydrogen consuming apparatus such as a fuel cell without worrying about the influence of carbon monoxide.
In the hydrogen separation unit, off-gas containing methane, hydrogen, and the like, which are fuel components, is generated after hydrogen separation. The total amount of this off-gas is sent to the combustion device as a fuel gas generated from the inside of the hydrogen production device, so that the reforming reaction can be maintained by the heat generated by the combustion of this fuel gas.
According to the study by the inventors, when the entire amount of off-gas is used as fuel gas and self-sustainable operation is possible by itself, factors such as off-gas composition variation and flow rate variation affect combustion in the combustion device. There is a case.
However, in the present application, at least the amount of off-gas is detected by an off-gas flow rate detector, and the amount necessary for suitable combustion of off-gas corresponding to that amount (even if the off-gas composition varies to some extent, the air-fuel ratio is not combusted). By supplying an oxygen-containing gas in an amount (within an air-fuel ratio that can be appropriately maintained) to the combustion apparatus, combustion can be stabilized and the temperature of the reformer can be appropriately maintained. As a result, independent operation is possible. Here, in the present application, since the CO converter is provided, the amount of carbon dioxide as an incombustible component contained in the reformed gas tends to increase, but the amount of oxygen-containing gas supplied to the combustion device is increased. Since the control is performed in consideration of the off-gas amount, the combustion in the apparatus can be kept good.
[Configuration 2]
In the above configuration, the off-gas supply path includes a carbon dioxide separator that separates carbon dioxide from off-gas flowing through the flow path,
It is preferable that the off-gas flow rate detector detects the off-gas flow rate after carbon dioxide is separated in the carbon dioxide separation unit.
[Operation effect 2]
In this configuration, carbon dioxide, which is an incombustible component, is removed from the offgas supplied to the combustion device provided in the reformer. As a result, combustible components (hydrogen, methane, etc.) in the reformed gas are concentrated. Furthermore, the flow rate (volume) of the off gas supplied to the combustion apparatus is also reduced. Accordingly, since the amount of oxygen-containing gas (for example, air) supplied in accordance with the flow rate of off-gas is reduced, the amount of heat required for raising the temperature of the oxygen-containing gas supplied at normal temperature is usually reduced. First, from this point, the efficiency of the reformer can be increased. Furthermore, since the non-combustible components in the off-gas are reduced, the heat generated by the combustion can be effectively used for the reforming reaction, and the efficiency of the reformer is also increased from this point.
Therefore, the efficiency of the reformer is improved simply by removing carbon dioxide, so even when the entire amount of off-gas is used for heat generation for reforming, it is possible to stably operate independently using only off-gas as fuel gas. It becomes. That is, according to the study by the inventors, the reforming reaction is stabilized by relaxing the temperature change of the reformer reaction tube wall surface in the combustion apparatus.
[Configuration 3]
Said structure WHEREIN: Content of the methane contained in the said raw material gas is 85 volume% or more, Content of the carbon dioxide contained in the off-gas introduced into the said carbon dioxide separation part is 35-45 volume%, The said In the carbon dioxide separator, it is preferable to reduce the content of carbon dioxide contained in the off-gas after separating carbon dioxide to 5 to 15% by volume.
[Operation effect 3]
By setting the amount of carbon dioxide contained in the off-gas after separation of carbon dioxide in the carbon dioxide separation unit within the above range, combustion in the combustion device can be made highly stable so that it can operate independently. The remaining components in the off-gas after carbon dioxide separation are mainly methane and hydrogen. Setting the carbon dioxide content to less than 5% by volume is uneconomical because the load on the carbon dioxide separator becomes too large. On the other hand, if it is larger than 15% by volume, the effect of improving the efficiency of the reformer described above may be reduced.
[Configuration 4]
It is preferable that an offgas tank is provided between the hydrogen separator and the offgas flow rate detector.
[Operation effect 4]
In the above configuration, the composition of the off-gas supplied to the combustion device can be made uniform and stable, and it can contribute to the stability of combustion in the combustion device.
[Configuration 5]
Further, in addition to the above configuration, a fuel gas supply path for supplying fuel gas from outside the apparatus to the offgas supply path is provided, and when the operation of the reforming unit is started, the fuel gas supply path and the offgas supply path are provided. A starting operation control means for supplying fuel gas to the combustion device, supplying oxygen-containing gas necessary for combustion of the fuel gas via the oxygen-containing gas supply path, and starting the reforming unit; It is preferable to provide.
[Operation effect 5]
With such a configuration, when the operation of the reforming unit is started, sufficient fuel gas can be obtained from outside the hydrogen production apparatus, and the operation of the reformer can be brought to a steady operation at an early stage.
[Configuration 6]
In addition, a temperature detector for detecting the temperature of the reforming unit is provided,
By the starting operation time control means when the temperature of the reforming section detected by the temperature detector reaches a predetermined self-sustaining operation temperature or after a predetermined time elapses from the time of reaching the self-sustaining operation temperature. It is preferable to shift from the combustion control state to the combustion control state by the self-sustained operation control means.
[Operation effect 6]
With such a configuration, it is possible to appropriately determine the timing of shifting to the independent operation based on the temperature of the reformer. Here, when the transition is made when the self-sustained operation temperature is reached, it is possible to make a transition to the self-sustained operation at a relatively early timing. Can move at a stable timing above the self-sustaining operating temperature.
[Configuration 7]
Further, after a predetermined time elapses after the combustion operation of the combustion apparatus is started by the start operation time control means, the combustion control state by the start operation time control means is changed to the combustion control state by the independent operation time control means. You can also migrate.
[Operation effect 7]
If comprised in this way, it can transfer favorably only by management of time from the start operation which obtains fuel gas from the outside to the independent operation which can be drive | operated without obtaining fuel gas from the outside.
Therefore, the temperature of the reformer is completed and the reforming reaction, the CO shift reaction, and the hydrogen separation operation can be performed stably. As a result, hydrogen production can be improved.

In this example, at least 65% or more, more preferably 75% or more of the carbon dioxide contained in the off-gas is recovered by the carbon
When the hydrogen production apparatus is operated under such operating conditions, the efficiency of the reformer 12 (reaction tube heat input / off-gas lower heating value) is 44.1%, compared with the case where carbon dioxide recovery is not performed. Thus, the efficiency was improved by 6.3%. On the other hand, the “raw material basic unit (raw material gas flow rate / product gas flow rate)”, which is the raw material gas flow rate necessary to obtain 1 Nm 3 / hr of hydrogen, is 0.39, compared with the case where carbon dioxide recovery is not performed. And 0.02 could be reduced.
Further, the temperature change ΔT of the reformer reaction tube wall surface of the reformer 12 was 35 ° C. On the other hand, when carbon dioxide recovery was not performed, the temperature was 50 ° C. Further, when the off-gas flow rate is not detected, the temperature is 50 ° C. or more, and it is difficult to maintain stable combustion. In addition, since the heat available for the reforming reaction increases, the temperature of the reforming catalyst layer also increased by 10 ° C. compared to the case where carbon dioxide separation was not performed. Also from these points, it is understood that the heat generated from the

[Configuration for realizing independent operation]
Hereinafter, a configuration provided in the
Regarding the operation of the reformer 12, the start-up operation control means 40aa for executing the start-up operation control at the start of operation, which is the initial stage of the start-up of the hydrogen production device, and the hydrogen production device is started up and hydrogen production is constantly performed, so that the self-sustained operation is performed. Self-sustained operation control when the source gas is taken into the hydrogen production device and only the off gas is supplied to the
[Control means for starting operation]
The starting operation time control means 40aa supplies the fuel gas to the
[Control means for autonomous operation]
The independent operation control means 40ab controls the amount of oxygen-containing gas supplied to the
During this self-sustained operation, the amount of off-gas sent through the off-gas supply path L4 varies with the operation of the
Further, the reformer 12 is provided with a
As a result, the self-sustaining operation can be started when the temperature in the reformer 12 reaches a predetermined reformable temperature range or when the temperature is stabilized in the temperature range.
Without performing such switching control, the self-sustained operation is started from the combustion control state by the starting operation time control means 40aa after elapse of a predetermined time after the combustion of the
