Description
The present invention relates to a tire spike used for a spike tire and a spike tire obtained by driving a tire spike into a spike driving hole formed in a tread surface.
Conventionally, as winter tires with improved running performance on icy roads (ice roads) and snowy roads, metal spikes (sometimes referred to as “studs”) are formed in a plurality of holes formed in the tread surface. Spike tires are known that are driven by.
Here, as spikes used for spike tires, generally, a cylindrical body (also referred to as “shank”) in which a small hole is formed on one end surface, and a hard body press-fitted into a small hole in the body. A spike having a pin (also referred to as a “chip”) and a flange for preventing the pin from being provided integrally with the body on the other end face side is used. The spike is driven into a hole formed in the tread portion tread so that the flange to one end surface of the body is embedded in the tread portion and the pin protrudes from the tire surface. Normally, the pin is formed using an ultra-hard metal such as tungsten steel, and the body and the flange are formed using a metal such as an aluminum alloy or steel.
In a spike tire in which the spike is driven into a plurality of holes formed in the tread portion tread, the spike that has been driven scratches ice and snow, increasing the frictional resistance of the tire. Specifically, in the spike tire, as shown in FIG. 5A, first, the
Therefore, in recent years, as a spike that can increase the frictional resistance of the tire by increasing the scratching force of ice and snow, the side surface of the body on which the pin is press-fitted is formed by a large number of inclined surfaces, and is orthogonal to the axis of the body A spike is proposed in which the cross-sectional shape is a polygonal shape on the pin side (see, for example, Patent Document 1). According to this spike, one end (pin side) of the body has a polygonal shape, and the edge of the body, in particular, the corners of the polygonal shape, can easily bite into the road surface. Therefore, when the body comes into contact with the road surface, Can increase the force of scratching the road surface.
However, in the spike tire in which the above-mentioned conventional spike is driven into the spike driving hole, the spike is easily dropped from the hole during traveling. For this reason, in conventional spike tires, if the tire is used for a long period of time, spikes may drop during running (spike missing), and desired running performance may not be obtained.
Then, an object of this invention is to provide the spike for tires which can suppress the early drop-off from a tire. Another object of the present invention is to provide a spike tire that is less prone to drop-off of spikes during traveling and can exhibit desired traveling performance even when the tire is used for a long period of time.
The inventors of the present invention have made extensive studies to suppress the early drop-out of spikes and achieve the above object. As a result, in the spike tires using conventional spikes, the present inventors have contacted the edge of the body that protrudes from the spike driving hole during running with a strong contact with the road surface and wears more easily than a hard pin. It has been found that spikes are likely to fall off early because the vicinity of the edge (shoulder portion) of the body is worn. Therefore, the present inventors have further studied, and that most of the scratching force of the road surface due to the spike is generated at the contact portion between the hard pin and the road surface, and that the contact between the pin and the road surface is normal. Thus, the present invention has been completed by finding that the angle θ between the central axis of the body partly protruding from the spike driving hole and the road surface is 45 ° or more. According to the study by the present inventors, the angle θ formed between the center axis of the body and the road surface is such that the spike length is within a range of 1.2 to 2.1 times the maximum width of the spike body. Especially, it was easy to become 45 ° or more in such a thick and short spike.
That is, the present invention has an object to advantageously solve the above problems, and the tire spike of the present invention is provided with a columnar body in which a hole is formed in one end surface in the axial direction, and a hole disposed in the hole. A spike for a tire including a pin protruding partly from an end face of the body, and an end of the pin protruding from the end face of the body in a cross-sectional view along the axis of the body the angle at which the imaginary line with respect to the said axis through the edge in contact with the outline of the body, 45 ° below der measured from an acute angle side is, the body, the second axial direction from the end surface of one said axial The outer surface of the widened portion of the body is a tapered surface, and the angle of the tapered surface with respect to the axis of the body is an angle formed by the virtual line with respect to the axis that equal and And butterflies. In this way, if the angle formed by the imaginary line that contacts the outline of the body through the edge of the pin with respect to the axis is less than 45 °, while being used for a spike tire, It is possible to suppress the vicinity of the edge of the body protruding from the spike driving hole from coming into contact with the road surface strongly during traveling. Therefore, according to the tire spike, it is possible to suppress the vicinity of the edge of the body from being worn during traveling, and to prevent the spike from falling off from the spike tire.
In the tire spike according to the present invention, the body has a widened portion whose width gradually increases from one end face in the axial direction toward the other in the axial direction. When driving on an emergency or suddenly braking, driving on a dry road surface, or driving on a wet road surface, a large force acts on the spike and the spike becomes large (for example, until the angle θ with the road surface is less than 45 °). However, it is possible to suppress the vicinity of the edge of the body from being worn.
Furthermore, since the outer peripheral surface of the widened portion of the body of the tire spike according to the present invention is a tapered surface, when the tire spike is used for a spike tire, the taper surface suppresses the drop-out of the spike by the force received from the tread rubber. it can.
In addition, the tire spike of the present invention has an angle of the tapered surface with respect to the axis of the body that is less than 45 ° as measured from the acute angle side. This can be further suppressed, and spikes can be further prevented from falling off.
In the present invention, “in contact with the outline of the body” refers to contact with the outline of the body without intersecting.
Here, it is preferable that the length of the spike of the tire spike of the present invention is in the range of 1.2 to 2.1 times the maximum width of the body. When the spike length (full length) is in the range of 1.2 to 2.1 times the maximum width of the body, the vicinity of the edge of the body that protrudes from the spike driving hole during driving is in strong contact with the road surface. This is because it can be suppressed particularly well.
The tire spike according to the present invention is a tire spike including a columnar body having a hole formed on one end face in the axial direction, and a pin disposed in the hole and partially protruding from the end face of the body. And an imaginary line that is in contact with the outline of the body through the edge of the pin protruding from the end face of the body in a cross-sectional view in a direction along the axis of the body is formed with respect to the axis. The angle is less than 45 ° as measured from the acute angle side, and the body has a widened portion whose width gradually increases from one end surface in the axial direction toward the other in the axial direction, and an outer peripheral surface of the widened portion of the body Is a tapered surface, and the tapered surface is located on one end surface side in the axial direction, and is inclined at a first angle with respect to the axis of the body, and the axis of the body is Smaller than the first angle A second and a tapered surface which have inclined at a second angle, the first angle is to the imaginary line is equal to or equal to the angle formed with respect to the axis. When the first taper surface and the second taper surface are provided and the second angle is smaller than the first angle, the maximum width of the body is prevented from becoming too large, and when used for a spike tire. In addition, the drop of the spike can be further suppressed by the force received by the second tapered surface from the tread rubber.
In addition, the present invention aims to advantageously solve the above-mentioned problems, and the spike tire of the present invention has any one of the above-mentioned tire spikes in a spike driving hole formed in the tread surface. It is characterized by having . In this way, if the tire spike described above is used, it is possible to suppress the drop-off of the spike during traveling, so that desired traveling performance can be exhibited even when the tire is used for a long period of time.
According to the tire spike of the present invention, it is possible to prevent the spike from dropping out of the tire at an early stage when used for a spike tire. Moreover, according to the spike tire of this invention, even if it uses for a long period of time, desired driving | running | working performance can be exhibited.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. Here, the tire spike of the present invention includes a columnar body and a pin that partially protrudes from the end surface of the body, and is an imaginary line that contacts the outline of the body through the edge of the pin protruding from the end surface of the body. Is less than 45 ° as measured from the acute angle side. The spike tire of the present invention is characterized in that the spike for the tire of the present invention is driven into a spike driving hole formed on the tread surface.
In FIG. 1, the front view of an example of the spike for tires of this invention is shown. A
Here, the
In the
The
Furthermore, the

Here, as shown in FIG. 2A, the
Incidentally, the tire used as the spike tire by driving the
And in the spike tire formed by driving the
Specifically, since the angle α is less than 45 ° in the
In addition, the scratching force of the road surface is greater in the
Further, the
Furthermore, since the

Here, in the
In the
Incidentally, since the
(H + H)> (D2-d) (2)
H ′> (D3-D2) (3)
The first angle β is preferably equal to or smaller than the angle α, and more preferably the same as the angle α. When the first angle β is set to be equal to or smaller than the angle α, when the

EXAMPLES Hereinafter, although an Example demonstrates this invention further in detail, this invention is not limited to the following Example at all.
(Examples 1-3, Reference Example 4, Conventional Example 1, Comparative Examples 1-2)
Tire spikes (pin: made of tungsten steel, body flange: made of aluminum alloy) were produced with the specifications shown in Table 1.
Next, the prepared tire spike was driven into a spike driving hole of a size 195 / 65R15 tire having a tread portion tread surface as shown in FIG. 4 to manufacture a spike tire.
Then, the running performance and spike drop resistance of the produced spike tire were evaluated by the following methods. The results are shown in Table 1.
(Running performance)
Each of the produced spike tires was attached to an applicable rim prescribed in a standard such as JATMA, and was attached to a passenger vehicle with an internal pressure of 230 kPa. Then, on the icy road surface, the braking distance from the speed of 20 km / hr until full braking was applied to the stationary state was measured.
Then, index evaluation was performed with the braking distance of the spike tire of Conventional Example 1 being 100. In Table 1, the smaller the value, the shorter the braking distance and the better the running performance (braking performance).
(Spike resistance)
Each of the produced spike tires was attached to an applicable rim prescribed in a standard such as JATMA, and was attached to a passenger vehicle with an internal pressure of 230 kPa. Then, after traveling 10,000 km, the number of spikes dropped from the tires was counted.
Then, a value (dropout rate) obtained by dividing the number of dropped spikes by the number of spikes that were first driven was calculated, and the index evaluation was performed with the dropout rate of the spike tire of Conventional Example 1 being 100. In Table 1, the smaller the value, the shorter the drop-off rate and the better the anti-spike resistance.
According to Table 1, in Examples 1 to 3 and Reference Example 4 in which the angle α is less than 45 °, both spike resistance and running performance are improved as compared with Conventional Example 1 and Comparative Examples 1 and 2. I understand that.
According to the tire spike of the present invention, it is possible to prevent the spike from dropping out of the tire at an early stage when used for a spike tire.
