Description
a)前記レーザ融除可能マスク層をレーザ融除して、前記レーザ融除可能マスク層中にその場ネガを作成する工程と、
b)前記感光性印刷ブランクにバリア膜を適用する工程と、
c)前記少なくとも1つの光硬化性層を、前記その場ネガを介して化学線に露光する工程と、
d)画像形成及び露光された前記感光性印刷ブランクを現像してその中のレリーフ像を露呈する工程であって、前記レリーフ像が複数のレリーフ印刷ドットを含む工程と、
を含み、前記バリア膜の存在が、印刷ドットの上面の所望の平面性、印刷ドットの所望のショルダー角、及び印刷ドットの所望のエッジのシャープさからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの幾何学的特性を有する印刷ドットを生成する方法に関する。
a)前記レーザ融除可能マスク層をレーザ融除して、前記レーザ融除可能マスク層中にその場ネガを作成する工程と、
b)前記感光性印刷ブランクにバリア膜を適用する工程であって、該バリア膜が少なくとも2種の樹脂を含有する工程と、
c)前記少なくとも1つの光硬化性層を、前記その場ネガを介して化学線に露光する工程と、
d)画像形成及び露光された前記感光性印刷ブランクを現像してその中のレリーフ像を露呈する工程であって、前記レリーフ像が複数のレリーフドットを含む工程と、
を含み、前記バリア膜の存在が、印刷ドットの上面の所望の平面性、印刷ドットの所望のショルダー角、及び印刷ドットの所望のエッジのシャープさからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの幾何学的特性を有する印刷ドットを生成し、前記各工程は、記載順に行われなくてもよい方法に関する。
100%のポリビニルブチラール樹脂(Solutia,Inc.から入手可能なBUTVAR(登録商標)B−90)を含むバリア膜を調製した。
シェラック樹脂をポリビニルブチラール樹脂(Solutia,Inc.から入手可能なBUTVAR(登録商標)B−90)に対して1:4.4の比率で含むバリア膜を調製した。
シェラック樹脂をポリビニルブチラール樹脂(Solutia,Inc.から入手可能なBUTVAR(登録商標)B−90)に対して4.8:1の比率で含むバリア膜を調製した。
シェラック樹脂をポリビニルブチラール樹脂(Solutia,Inc.から入手可能なBUTVAR(登録商標)B−90)に対して1.1:1の比率で含むバリア膜を調製した。
100%のシェラック樹脂を含むバリア膜を調製した。
非常に鮮明なエッジを有するものの、より大きなショルダー角を有するドットを生成する。
シェラック樹脂をポリビニルブチラール樹脂(Solutia,Inc.から入手可能なBUTVAR(登録商標)B−90)に対して1:2.1の比率で含むバリア膜を調製した。
シェラック樹脂をポリビニルブチラール樹脂(Solutia,Inc.から入手可能なBUTVAR(登録商標)B−90)に対して1.1:1の比率で含むバリア膜を調製した。
Claims (15)
- デジタル製版工程中の感光性印刷ブランクにおいて作成された複数のレリーフドットの形状を調整する方法であって、前記感光性印刷ブランクは、少なくとも1つの光硬化性層上に直接又は間接的に配置されたレーザ融除可能マスク層を含有し、
a)前記レーザ融除可能マスク層をレーザ融除して、前記レーザ融除可能マスク層中にその場ネガを作成する工程と、
b)前記その場ネガにバリア膜を適用する工程であって、該バリア膜が少なくとも2種の樹脂を含有する工程と、
c)前記少なくとも1つの光硬化性層を、前記その場ネガを介して化学線に露光する工程と、
d)画像形成及び露光された前記感光性印刷ブランクを現像してその中のレリーフ像を露呈する工程であって、前記レリーフ像が複数のレリーフドットを含む工程と、
を含み、
前記レリーフドットの形状が、前記少なくとも2種の樹脂の種類及び比を変えることにより調整又は変化されることを特徴とする方法。 - バリア膜が、ポリビニルピロリドン樹脂、シェラック樹脂、ポリビニルブチラール樹脂、ポリ塩化ビニリデンポリマー、塩化ビニル共重合体、及びこれらの組合せからなる群から選択される少なくとも2種の樹脂を含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- バリア膜が、シェラック樹脂及びポリビニルブチラール樹脂を含む請求項2に記載の方法。
- バリア膜が、少なくとも2種の樹脂を含有し、1種の樹脂が、単独で50%〜100%の光透過性を有し、別の樹脂が、単独で50%〜100%の光透過性を有する請求項1に記載の方法。
- 1種の樹脂が、単独で6.9×10−9m2/秒未満の酸素拡散係数を有し、別の樹脂が、単独で6.9×10−9m2/秒未満の酸素拡散係数を有する請求項1に記載の方法。
- ポリビニルブチラール樹脂のガラス転移温度が、62℃〜78℃である請求項2に記載の方法。
- その場ネガがレーザ融除可能マスク層中に製造された後に、バリア膜が前記レーザ融除可能マスク層に適用され、その後、少なくとも1つの光硬化性層が前記その場ネガを介して化学線に露光される請求項1に記載の方法。
- バリア膜が、少なくとも一つの光硬化性層に適用され、レーザ融除可能マスク層がその上に配置され、その後、前記レーザ融除可能マスク層がレーザ融除されて前記レーザ融除可能マスク層中にその場ネガを作成し、前記少なくとも1つの光硬化性層が前記その場ネガを介して化学線に露光される請求項1に記載の方法。
- バリア膜が、6.9×10−9m2/秒未満の酸素拡散係数を有する請求項1に記載の方法。
- レリーフドットのショルダー角が、50°より大きい請求項1に記載の方法。
- レリーフドットのショルダー角が、70°より大きい請求項10に記載の方法。
- ショルダーとレリーフドットの頂上との交点における曲率半径(re)の、ドットの頂上又は印刷表面の幅(p)に対する比として定義されるレリーフドットのエッジのシャープさが5%未満である請求項1に記載の方法。
- re:pの比が、2%未満である請求項12に記載の方法。
- バリア膜が、0.5μm〜100μmの厚みを有する請求項1に記載の方法。
- バリア膜が、50%〜100%の光透過性を有する請求項1に記載の方法。
