Description
The present invention relates to a load control device suitable for a load through which an inrush current flows at startup, such as a lighting device.
For example, as described in
By the way, immediately after the operation handle is operated by the user, that is, at the start of starting the load, a large current called an inrush current temporarily flows to the load. For example, assuming that the load is an illuminating device using an incandescent bulb, the resistance value of the filament at normal temperature is much smaller than the resistance value at steady lighting. 10 times more current flows. On the other hand, as represented by a MOSFET, for example, a current value that can flow between a source and a drain is limited in accordance with a gate voltage. Therefore, if the voltage of the gate drive signal input to the gate electrode of the switch element is low and only a current smaller than the inrush current can flow, the lighting device does not immediately steadily light even if the operation handle is operated. As the filament temperature rises, the brightness gradually increases. Therefore, in order to steadily turn on the lighting device immediately after operating the operation handle, the voltage of the gate drive signal applied to the gate electrode of the switch element is increased so that the inrush current flows smoothly when the load is started. do it.
In the load control device described in
The present invention has been made in order to solve the above-described problems of the conventional example, and can suppress the power consumed by the control unit and the gate driving unit while allowing the inrush current to flow through at the start of the load. An object is to provide a control device.
In order to achieve the above object, a load control device according to one aspect of the present invention controls an open / close unit using a switch element that is connected in series with a commercial power source and a load and has a transistor structure, and starts and stops the load. The control unit and the control unit are insulated by a magnetic insulation system including a transformer, and a gate driving unit that outputs a gate driving signal to the gate electrode of the switch element, and for operating the control unit and the gate driving unit A power supply unit that secures the power of the power supply , and is connected in parallel to both terminals of the opening and closing unit, and operates to secure an internal power supply every half cycle of the commercial power supply even when the load is in a non-operating state. and performs, with the voltage monitoring unit that monitors the output voltage of the power supply unit, wherein, at the start of the load, on the drive signal for switching the primary winding of the transformer By making the duty higher than in steady stable operation, more drive power is supplied than in steady stable operation, and based on the change in the output voltage of the power supply unit, the load is started up than in steady stable operation. The increased on-duty of the drive signal is changed to the on-duty during steady stable operation .
The gate driving unit is configured to switch a charge extracting unit that extracts residual charges accumulated in the gate electrode unit of the switch element, a driving power source unit for driving the charge extracting unit, and a primary winding of the transformer. It is preferable to further include a delay circuit for preventing the charge extraction unit from operating .
The gate driving unit drives the gate electrode at a constant current while the on-duty of a drive signal for switching the primary winding of the transformer is higher than that during steady-state stable operation at the time of starting the load. In some cases, the gate electrode is preferably driven at a constant voltage .
Further, a load control device according to another aspect of the present invention includes an open / close unit using a switch element having a transistor structure connected in series to a commercial power source and a load, and a control unit that controls start and stop of the load. The control unit is insulated by a magnetic insulation system including a transformer, and outputs a gate drive signal to the gate electrode of the switch element, and power for operating the control unit and the gate drive unit. A power supply unit for securing, and the control unit increases the on-duty of a drive signal for switching the primary winding of the transformer for a predetermined time after the start of the load, compared with that during steady state operation, during which the gate drive The unit drives the gate electrode at a constant current, thereby supplying more driving power than during steady-state stable operation. Characterized by constant voltage driving the gate electrode.
A switch element having a transistor structure has a characteristic of causing a larger amount of current to flow as the power input to the gate electrode is increased, such as increasing the gate drive voltage. According to the present invention, the gate drive unit supplies more drive power to the gate electrode of the switch element for a predetermined time at the time of starting the load than during steady stable operation, so the amount of current that can flow through the switch element increases. Thus, the inrush current at the time of starting the load can be passed. In addition, after a predetermined time has elapsed, drive power corresponding to the current flowing through the load during steady stable operation is supplied to the gate electrode of the switch element, so that power consumed by the control unit and the gate drive unit can be suppressed. .

負荷制御装置1の本体2の背面24には、例えばVVF(Vinyl insulated Vinyl sheathed Flat-type cable:600Vビニル絶縁ビニルシースケーブル平型)などの電線5の心線51が挿入されるインレット25を備えている。

FIG. 2 shows a block configuration of the two-wire

The

FIG. 6 shows a configuration example in which two
As shown in FIG. 8, the
As shown in FIG. 7, the
An intermediate potential portion S that is an intermediate potential with respect to the potential of the first electrode D1 and the second electrode D2, and a gate electrode G that is connected to the intermediate potential portion S and controls the intermediate potential portion S is provided. The first electrode D1 and the second electrode D2 are disposed at positions where a predetermined withstand voltage can be maintained. Therefore, for example, when the first electrode D1 is on the high potential side and the second electrode D2 is on the low potential side, when the
As described above, since the intermediate potential portion S is formed at a position where the predetermined withstand voltage can be maintained with respect to the first electrode D1 and the second electrode D2, the threshold voltage of the signal applied to the gate electrode G is set to the minimum necessary level. Even if the level is lowered to the level, the
FIG. 9 shows a configuration example in which only one
As shown in FIG. 11, the
FIG. 12 shows a configuration example in which, for example, the MOSFET shown in FIG. 5 is used as the switching element of the opening /
FIG. 13 shows an example of a configuration in which, for example, the bidirectional switch element shown in FIG. In the configuration example shown in FIG. 13, the primary winding side and the two secondary winding sides of the
FIG. 15 shows a configuration example in which the gate electrode of the switch element is driven with constant current for a predetermined time after the
