Description
The present invention relates to a contact lens manufacturing method and a contact lens manufacturing apparatus.
As one of methods applied to the production of contact lenses, a molding method called a cast mold manufacturing method is known. The cast mold manufacturing method is a method of forming a contact lens by using a mold mold in which a pair of molds having a male mold and a female mold are combined. Generally, a mold for use in molding a contact lens by a cast mold manufacturing method is formed of a resin. One of the pair of molds constituting the mold is a mold for molding the front curve of the contact lens (hereinafter referred to as “FC type”), and the other mold. Is a mold for molding a base curve of a contact lens (hereinafter referred to as “BC type”).
When actually manufacturing a contact lens, first, a polymerizable monomer (liquid resin) is injected into the FC type, the FC type and the BC type are combined, and the monomer is polymerized by heating or light irradiation. In the subsequent mold release step, the pair of combined molds are separated. At this time, since the contact lens cured by the previous polymerization is attached to one mold, the contact lens is taken out from the mold.
It is considered desirable to take out the contact lens in the mold release step in a dry state without using a special solvent or solvent (see Patent Document 1). Further, when the pair of molds are separated, it is desirable to attach a contact lens to the FC mold for the following reason.
First, when the contact lens after polymerization is removed from the mold in a dry state, if the contact lens is attached to the BC type, for example, the contact lens is naturally dropped by applying force to the BC type from the outside. In addition, the following problems arise. That is, when the BC type is deformed by applying a force from the outside, the front curve surface of the contact lens faces downward and falls naturally. At this time, the optical surface on the front curve side of the contact lens comes into contact with a saucer or the like that receives the contact lens. For this reason, there exists a possibility of damaging the optical surface of a contact lens.
On the other hand, when the contact lens is attached to the FC type, when the FC type is deformed by applying a force from the outside, the base curve surface of the contact lens faces downward and falls naturally. At this time, the optical surface on the front curve side of the contact lens is positioned on the side opposite to the tray or the like, and the optical surface on the base curve side of the contact lens is lifted from the tray or the like. For this reason, there is no possibility of damaging the optical surface of the contact lens.
For these reasons, in a series of contact lens manufacturing processes, when a pair of molds are separated in the mold release process after the polymerization process, the contact lens is attached to the FC mold, It is considered preferable to remove the contact lens.
The contact lens manufacturing process is based on the premise that the contact lens adheres to the FC mold when the mold is separated. Is managing. Further, when a contact lens adheres to the BC type during separation, it is discarded as “separation failure”. For this reason, the occurrence of the separation failure leads to a decrease in the separation success rate and, consequently, a yield. Therefore, in order to improve the yield of the entire contact lens manufacturing process, it is important to attach the contact lens to the FC mold in the mold release process. The “separation success rate” described here refers to the probability that the contact lens adheres to the FC type in the mold release process. This separation success rate can be defined as “separation success rate (%) = 100% −separation failure rate (%)”.
Incidentally, as a technique for improving the yield of the entire contact lens manufacturing process, it is conceivable to take out the contact lens attached to the BC type and make it non-defective. However, when this method is employed, there is a risk that the optical surface is damaged as described above, and it is necessary to perform work different from the predetermined work contents in the mold release process and the subsequent inspection process. For this reason, work efficiency falls remarkably and a manufacturing cost will become high on the contrary. Therefore, conventionally, it has been desired to provide a technique for reducing the rate at which contact lenses adhere to the BC type.
A main object of the present invention is to provide a technique capable of easily increasing the separation success rate when a pair of molds are separated in a mold release step when a contact lens is manufactured by a cast mold manufacturing method. .
In the contact lens manufacturing process to which the cast mold manufacturing method is applied, the inventor tends to increase the ratio of the contact lens adhering to the BC type in the mold release process when the frequency of the contact lens to be manufactured increases. I caught something. Specifically, for example, in a contact lens in which the range of the vertex refractive index of the lens (hereinafter referred to as “Power”) is −0.50 D (diopter) to −10.00 D, the separation success rate decreases as the negative power increases. Grabbed that there is a tendency to.
The following can be considered as a reason for showing such a tendency. That is, the base curve of the contact lens is a common curve (curvature) at each power, whereas the front curve of the contact lens approaches a flat state as the negative power increases. For this reason, when the power of the contact lens is increased, the thickness of the outer peripheral portion is relatively thicker than the thickness of the central portion of the contact lens. If it does so, the thickness difference of the center part of a contact lens and an outer peripheral part will become large, and the tendency which becomes easy to adhere to BC type | mold will be shown.
The present inventor has also found that there are situations in which separation failure is likely to occur and situations where it is difficult to occur even with contact lenses of the same frequency. Specifically, it has been found that the rate of occurrence of poor separation varies depending on the time and temperature until the mold die that has been polymerized in the polymerization step is put into the subsequent release step. Therefore, paying attention to the time and temperature when moving from the polymerization process to the mold release process, as a result of repeated experiments and studies, the time-dependent temperature change after polymerization has led to the lens adhesion to the mold after separation. The present invention was conceived by ascertaining the fact that it had a great influence.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
In the embodiment of the present invention, description will be given in the following order.
1. 1. Contact
<1. Contact lens manufacturing process>
First, the manufacturing process of the contact lens to which the cast mold manufacturing method is applied will be described according to the process flow of FIG. As shown in the figure, in the contact lens manufacturing process, a molding process S1, an injection process S2, a polymerization process S3, a mold release process S4, a surface treatment process S5, and a hydration process S6 are sequentially performed. Hereinafter, each step will be described. All of these processes are performed in a clean and dry environment (in a clean room).
(Molding process: S1)
In the molding step S1, the
(Injection process: S2)
In the injection step S2, the
The
(Polymerization step: S3)
In the polymerization step S3, the
(Release process: S4)
In the mold release step S4, after the polymerization of the monomer mixed solution in the polymerization step S3 is completed, the
In the “separation process”, as shown in FIG. 4, the
In the “removal process”, for example, as shown in FIG. 6, the
(Surface treatment process: S5)
In the surface treatment step S5, the

A
A

<2. Specific contents of the present invention>
In the manufacturing method of the
First, when the
In such a case, the temperature of the
As described above, the temperature of the
<3. Insulation composition>
FIG. 10 is a diagram illustrating a configuration example of the heat storage according to the embodiment of the present invention, in which (A) is a plan view and (B) is a side view. As shown in the figure, the
The
The
The
The warming
One
Moreover, although the suitable example of the temperature in the
<4. Use form of heat storage>
When the
On the other hand, when the
After that, when the
Incidentally, the timing at which the
Here, as shown in FIG. 11, the polymerization end temperature of the mold is set to “Tj”, the clean room temperature is set to “Tr”, and the temperature of the
In this way, by suppressing the temperature change of the
As the state of the
<5. Effects of the embodiment>
In the embodiment of the present invention, by installing a
The technical idea of the present invention is an idea of “suppressing temperature change” of the

More preferably, when “temperature difference (a) − (b)” ((d) in FIG. 12) is 0 to 9 ° C., “temperature difference (a) − (c)” ((d in FIG. 12) )) Is 6 to 12 ° C., when the average temperature change of the

For example, regarding the installation of the
Further, as a heat insulation method by the
As a configuration of the
