Description
The present invention relates to an ink jet recording apparatus.
The ink jet recording apparatus includes, for example, a discharge head that discharges ultraviolet curable ink and an ultraviolet lamp that irradiates ultraviolet light to the ultraviolet curable ink discharged from the discharge head onto a medium. In this ink jet recording apparatus, recording is performed by curing the ultraviolet curable ink ejected from the ejection head onto the medium by irradiating the ultraviolet rays with an ultraviolet lamp.
The ejection head provided in the recording unit is mounted on a carriage and is reciprocally movable in the main scanning direction (Y-axis direction) along a scanning guide provided on a Y-axis support member (Y bar). The recording unit (ejection head) moves a predetermined amount in the sub-scanning direction (X-axis direction) every time one line is recorded, and alternately moves the carriage in the main scanning direction and the ejection head in the sub-scanning direction. Recording is performed on a medium that is attracted and held on the opposite stage portion while being repeated.
A purge operation that pushes ink from the nozzles of the discharge head by applying a discharge pressure higher than atmospheric pressure to the ink while the carriage is in the standby position before starting the recording operation or restarting the temporarily stopped recording operation. Next, the discharge pressure is returned to atmospheric pressure, and the ink droplets adhering to the discharge surface of the ink discharge head are wiped by bringing the cleaning head (wiper head) of the cleaning device into contact with the cleaning head (wiping operation). ) Is performed.
Alternatively, in order to prevent drying of the nozzles on the ink discharge surface of the discharge head, the ink discharge surface is covered with a cap while the carriage is waiting at the standby position, and the ink remaining in the nozzle is removed by suction with a suction pump. This prevents the residual ink remaining in the nozzle from drying and causing clogging.
For example, a head cap that is disposed to face the nozzle surface of the ejection head, a guided portion that continues to a cap holder that holds the head cap, and an ink suction pump are connected by a tube. The guided portion is movably supported by a fixed frame. Depending on the rotational position of the eccentric cam, the head cap can be switched between an operating position where the head cap covers the nozzle surface and a retracted position where the lever is retracted from the nozzle surface through a cap holder that swings around a fulcrum and is connected to one end of the lever. It is like that. As the head cap advances and retreats, the tube follows and moves while the guided portion is guided by the fixed frame to prevent the tube from being bent (see
However, in the above-described cleaning device, the cleaning head (wiper head) moves toward and away from the nozzle surface of the ejection head, and the cleaning head (wiper head) slides and cleans (wiping) while in contact with the nozzle surface. For this reason, as the cleaning head (wiper head) moves, the ink collecting portion and the tube connected thereto are bent, and the residual ink suction operation is hindered. In particular, when a tube material having a high flexibility such as a rubber material or a material having a low flexibility such as a resin material is used in relation to an ink component used for recording, a cleaning operation (wiping is performed). If bending or sliding resistance acts on the tube drawn along with the operation) and stress concentration occurs in the connection portion with the ink recovery portion, the tube may be damaged. In addition, the moving load (contact force) acting on the tube may cause the cleaning head (wiper head) to lose its posture, resulting in insufficient contact with the nozzle surface, which may hinder the suction operation of residual ink.
Further, in
Further, if the clearance between the guided portion and the fixed frame is increased, the posture of the head cap becomes unstable, and it becomes difficult to press the head cap evenly against the nozzle surface.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide an ink jet recording apparatus that solves the above-described problems and makes it possible to prevent the connection portion from being broken or the tube from being bent due to stress concentration by causing the posture of the tube connected to the cleaning head portion to follow the cleaning operation. There is.
In order to solve the above-described problem, an inkjet recording apparatus including a cleaning device that is disposed opposite to an ink discharge surface of a discharge head that discharges ink droplets and that cleans the ink discharge surface, wherein the cleaning device includes: A cleaning head portion having a guide shaft for cleaning the ink discharge surface and moving forward and backward with respect to the ink discharge surface, and the cleaning head portion can be housed inside, and the guide shaft protrudes outward from the side surface. A moving support member that supports the cleaning head portion so that the cleaning head portion can be moved forward and backward between a standby position in which the cleaning head portion is housed inside and a cleaning position that protrudes to the outside. Driving means for moving the cleaning head in a direction intersecting with the advancing and retreating direction of the cleaning head; A tube connected to the head portion for flowing cleaning liquid, a guide rail for guiding the movement support member in a direction intersecting with the advancing and retreating direction of the cleaning head portion, and the movement support member having one end of the guide rail A slit that guides the movement of the cleaning head between the standby position and the cleaning position with the guide shaft inserted when reciprocating between the other end, and The moving support member includes a holding member that holds a tube connecting portion that connects the cleaning head portion and the tube so as to be movable in the advancing and retreating direction of the cleaning head portion, and the driving means includes a driving source, By transmitting the drive from the drive source, the movable support member is moved along the guide rail with the advance / retreat direction of the cleaning head portion. Is moved in the direction, the is at with the movement of the movable support member which move back and forth the cleaning head portion by the guide shaft inserted into the slit, the cleaning, in a direction crossing the moving direction The cleaning is performed by moving the cleaning head portion while being in contact with the ink discharge surface .
According to the above configuration, since the holding member that holds the tube connecting portion that connects the cleaning head portion and the tube is supported so as to be movable in the advancing and retracting direction of the cleaning head portion, the cleaning head portion is moved in the advancing and retracting direction. In addition, since the holding member always holds the tube connecting portion, there is no possibility that the tube is bent, and it is possible to prevent the tube connecting portion from being easily concentrated by stress.
In the present invention, before Symbol tube connecting portion is formed on the bottom surface of the cleaning head, the tube connected to the tube connecting portion is extended in the moving direction of the cleaning head, the tube It is preferable that the holding member that holds the connecting portion is supported so as to be movable only in the advancing and retracting direction of the cleaning head portion .
According to the above configuration, since the holding member that holds the tube connecting portion is supported so as to be movable only in the advancing / retreating direction of the cleaning head portion, it acts on the tube connecting portion when the moving support member moves in the crossing direction. The load to be applied is small, and the risk of breakage of the tube connecting portion is reduced.
Further, in the present invention, a tube connecting portion that connects the ink recovery portion of the cleaning head portion and the tube is held by the holding member and moves in the advancing and retreating direction of the cleaning head portion, and the holding member is cleaned. It is preferable that an escape portion that allows movement of the tube to follow the operation is formed.
According to this, even if the tube connecting portion is moved in the advancing / retreating direction of the cleaning head portion by the cleaning operation of the cleaning head portion, the holding member escapes the movement of the tube by the escape portion, so that the tube does not interfere with the holding member. Stress concentration due to bending or contact force is unlikely to occur.
In the present invention, a first holding portion is formed in which the tube connecting portion is held and the tube connected to the tube connecting portion is movable in a direction crossing the advancing / retreating direction of the cleaning head portion. A second holding member that allows only the movement of the cleaning head in the forward / backward direction by inserting a member and a pair of tongues protruding from both sides of the first holding member into slits provided in the forward / backward direction; The movable support member may be assembled.
According to the above configuration, the first holding member moves along the advancing / retreating direction of the cleaning head portion while the pair of tongue pieces protruding from both sides thereof are inserted into the slits of the second holding member. The posture can be brought into contact with the ink ejection surface without collapsing, and the tube moves smoothly following this.
Further, when the cleaning head portion starts the cleaning operation, the tube moving in the direction crossing the advance / retreat direction is released by the escape portion so as not to interfere with the first holding member, and thus the tube connection portion is bent and stress concentration occurs. Things will disappear.
In the present invention, it is preferable that the cleaning head portion is supported by a coil spring provided on a frame in the moving support member that supports the guide shaft .
According to this, unnecessary ink droplets can be cleaned with a simple mechanism while the cleaning head portion is uniformly pressed against the ink discharge surface of the discharge head. The coil spring can also release an excessive pressing load that acts on the guide shaft when the cleaning head portion is pressed against the ink discharge surface.
In the present invention, preferably the rotational driving of the driving source is the mobile linked with drive kinematic transmitted to the support member via the link mechanism.
According to this, the cleaning operation can be performed by a compact drive mechanism.
According to the present invention, it is possible to provide an ink jet recording apparatus that can prevent the breakage of the connecting portion and the breakage of the tube due to the stress concentration by causing the posture of the tube connected to the cleaning head portion to follow the cleaning operation.

In FIG. 3,

Further, a
In FIG. 12, a

In FIG. 9A, the
When the stepping
At this time, as shown in FIG. 10B, the cleaning head portion 14 (

Here, the cleaning operation of the ink jet recording apparatus will be described with reference to FIGS. When the ejection head is moved by scanning the carriage 3 after ejecting ink from the ejection head in the
As shown in FIG. 5, the upper surface of the
As shown in FIG. 6, when the cleaning
When the stepping
When the cleaning operation is completed, the stepping
As described above, the
When the
Specifically, the pair of
Further, when the cleaning
Since the
The
The
As described above, the holding member 19 (first holding) that holds the
Further, even if the
Further, even when the
In addition, since the holding member 19 (first holding

Further, when the cleaning
Further, the cleaning
