In the drawings, the same or corresponding parts are denoted by the same reference numerals and description thereof will not be repeated.
図1を参照して、この車両1は、エンジン10と、第1MG(Motor Generator)20と、第2MG30と、動力分割装置40と、減速機50と、PCU(Power Control Unit)60と、バッテリ70と、駆動輪80と、ECU(Electronic Control Unit)200とを備える。
FIG. 1 is an overall block diagram of a
The

FIG. 2 is a diagram schematically showing the relationship between the usage time and the internal resistance of the lithium ion secondary battery. The internal resistance of the nickel metal hydride secondary battery is hardly affected by the usage time (broken line in FIG. 2), whereas the internal resistance of the lithium ion secondary battery has a characteristic of increasing as the usage time increases. Since the battery 70 is a lithium ion secondary battery, the internal resistance increases as the usage time increases.

The
The deterioration
FIG. 4 is a diagram schematically showing the relationship between the excess time α and the deterioration level LV. As shown in FIG. 4, the deterioration level LV is calculated so as to become a larger value (deterioration level) as the excess time α is longer. That is, the deterioration
Returning to FIG. 3, the
The
First, the
FIG. 5 is a diagram schematically showing a relationship between the deterioration level LV and the decrease amount ΔV1 of the threshold voltage V1. As shown in FIG. 5, the decrease amount ΔV1 is calculated to be larger as the deterioration level LV is larger.
Then, the
Returning to FIG. 3, the Win setting unit 222 will be described. Win setting unit 222 sets allowable power Win of battery 70.
When the condition that the battery voltage Vb exceeds the threshold voltage V1 (hereinafter referred to as “Win-F / B control start condition”) is satisfied, the Win setting unit 222 sets the battery voltage Vb to be equal to or lower than the threshold voltage V1. Thus, the allowable power Win is feedback-controlled (hereinafter, this feedback control is referred to as “Win-F / B control”). By this Win-F / B control, the allowable power Win is limited from the normal value.
During the execution of the Win-F / B control, the Win setting unit 222 increases the limit amount of the allowable power Win as the excess amount of the battery voltage Vb from the threshold voltage V1 increases. However, in order to prevent the occurrence of shock, an upper limit value is provided for the limit rate of the allowable power Win.
Here, as described above, the threshold voltage V1 is set to a lower value by the
On the other hand, when the Win-F / B control start condition is not satisfied, the Win setting unit 222 sets the allowable power Win to a normal value. Note that the normal value of the allowable power Win is set according to the battery temperature Tb and the storage state SOC.
The
FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating a relationship between the actual input power Pb and the battery voltage Vb when the battery 70 is in a new state (a state in which the battery 70 is hardly deteriorated). When the battery voltage Vb exceeds the threshold voltage V1 at time t1, Win-F / B control is started, and the allowable power Win starts to decrease. Along with this, the actual input power Pb also starts to decrease, so the battery voltage Vb that has been increasing starts to decrease with a slight delay, and then the battery voltage Vb is decreased to the threshold voltage V1 at time t2.
As shown in FIG. 6, when the battery 70 is in a new state, if the actual input power Pb is limited to the allowable power Win or less, the battery voltage Vb starts to decrease before the battery voltage Vb exceeds the allowable voltage V2. Therefore, the battery voltage Vb does not exceed the allowable voltage V2 even between the times t1 and t2. On the other hand, when the battery 70 is in a deteriorated state (when deterioration is advanced), the battery voltage Vb may exceed the allowable voltage V2 even if the actual input power Pb is limited to the allowable power Win or less.
FIG. 7 is a diagram illustrating a relationship between the actual input power Pb and the battery voltage Vb when the battery 70 is in a deteriorated state. When the battery voltage Vb exceeds the threshold voltage V1 at time t3, the Win-F / B control is started and the allowable power Win starts to be reduced. However, when the battery 70 is in a deteriorated state, the time from when the actual input power Pb starts to decrease until the battery voltage Vb starts to decrease is longer than the new state (that is, at the start timing of the Win-F / B control). On the other hand, there is a tendency that the timing at which the battery voltage Vb actually starts decreasing is delayed from the new state). This tendency becomes stronger as the deterioration of the battery 70 progresses. As a result, as shown in FIG. 7, even when the actual input power Pb is limited to the allowable power Win or less, the battery voltage Vb actually decreases to the threshold voltage V1 from the time t3 when the Win-F / B control is started. During the time t6, the battery voltage Vb may exceed the allowable voltage V2. When such a state occurs frequently, deterioration of the battery 70 due to overvoltage is further promoted.
In order to prevent such a problem, the ECU 200 (V1 calculating unit 221), as described above, the excess time α in which the battery voltage Vb exceeds the allowable voltage V2 in a state where the actual input power Pb is less than the allowable power Win. (Time from t4 to t5 in FIG. 7) is measured, and the deterioration level LV of the battery 70 is calculated according to the excess time α. Then, the ECU 200 (V1 calculating unit 221) decreases the threshold voltage V1 as the deterioration level LV is a larger value (deterioration level).
FIG. 8 is a diagram showing the relationship between the actual input power Pb and the battery voltage Vb when the threshold voltage V1 is lowered by ΔV1 when the battery 70 is in a deteriorated state. As shown in FIG. 8, the Win-F / B control can be started from an earlier stage (time t6 earlier than time t7 in FIG. 8) by reducing the threshold voltage V1 by ΔV1. As a result, even in the deteriorated state, the battery voltage Vb can be started to decrease before the battery voltage Vb exceeds the allowable voltage V2, so that overvoltage of the battery 70 is appropriately prevented.

In S20,
In S21,
When battery voltage Vb reaches threshold voltage V1 (YES in S21),
On the other hand, when battery voltage Vb has not reached threshold voltage V1 (NO in S21),
In S24,
As described above, the
Conventionally, when calculating the deterioration due to the increase in the internal resistance of the battery, it is necessary to synchronize the voltage and the current. On the other hand, in the present embodiment, since the deterioration level LV (deterioration due to an increase in internal resistance) of the battery 70 is calculated only with the excess time α, the sensor can be simplified (cost reduction).
In this embodiment, the Win-F / B control start condition is the condition that “battery voltage Vb exceeds the threshold voltage V1”, but the Win-F / B control start condition is not limited to this. It is also possible to change. For example, when it is predicted that a battery overvoltage will occur in the future when a parameter other than the battery voltage Vb is in a specific state, Win-F / B control is started under the condition that the parameter is in a specific state. It may be a condition. In this case as well, the higher the deterioration level LV, the easier it is to satisfy the Win-F / B control start condition.
