Description
The present invention relates to a pendant cable (including a rope and a cable) and a pendant cable thimble.
Pendant ropes are used to support the raised booms of mobile cranes. A conventional pendant rope is made of a wire rope in which a plurality of strands obtained by bundling and twisting a plurality of steel wires are further bundled and twisted, and connecting metal fittings are fixed to both ends thereof. According to the length of the boom, a plurality of pendant cords are connected to each other using a connecting bracket. One end of the connected pendant cable is fixed to the tip of the boom of the mobile crane, and the other end is connected to one end of the hoisting rope (see Patent Document 1).
Mobile crane booms can be disassembled. For example, a boom that has been disassembled into three parts is loaded onto a truck bed, transported to a construction site, and assembled at the construction site. The pendant cable is also transported to the construction site in a divided state. At the construction site, a plurality of pendant cords are connected to each other and fixed to the tip of the boom.
In recent years, the size of mobile cranes has been increasing, and the size and number of pendant ropes have been increasing accordingly. Wire rope pendant cords are heavy, and large pendant cords are especially at risk of operations such as connecting, releasing, attaching to and removing from the end of the boom, and so on. Moreover, since the surface of the wire rope pendant cord is coated with grease in order to prevent corrosion, there is a problem that the work clothes of workers are very dirty during connection work and the like.
An object of the present invention is to provide a lightweight pendant rope having the same strength as a conventional wire rope pendant rope.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a thimble having a novel structure provided at both ends of the pendant cable.
The pendant cord according to the present invention includes a thimble having a cylindrical body and annular flanges extending radially from both ends of the cylindrical body, and two thimbles of cylindrical bodies disposed at predetermined intervals. Carbon fiber strands that are alternately wound on the outer peripheral surface, a binding member that bundles the carbon fiber strands that are spanned between the thimbles at least at the center portion between the two thimbles, and the carbon fiber strands and the bindings A covering member for covering the surface of the member is provided.
The carbon fiber strand is a bundle of a large number of carbon fibers (wires) impregnated with a thermosetting resin. By heating a bundle of multiple carbon fibers impregnated with the thermosetting resin, the thermosetting resin is cured, and the multiple carbon fibers become one carbon fiber strand. The carbon fiber strand is formed, for example, so that its cross section is circular. The carbon fiber strands are alternately wound on the outer peripheral surfaces of two thimble cylindrical body portions arranged at predetermined intervals. A plurality of carbon fiber strands are stretched between the two thimbles by alternately hanging one carbon fiber strand on the cylindrical body of the two thimbles.
At least in the central portion between the two thimbles, the plurality of carbon fiber strands are bundled by a binding member. For example, polyester yarn or tape is used as the binding member. The plurality of carbon fiber strands are preferably bundled by the binding member so that the cross section thereof is circular.
The surface of the carbon fiber strand and the binding member is covered with a covering member. This prevents external force from being directly applied to the carbon fiber strand and the binding member, and also stabilizes the shape of the pendant cord. For example, urethane resin is used as the covering member.
Carbon fibers and carbon fiber strands are lighter than steel wires of the same shape and dimensions and strands that are bundled together and twisted together. The pendant cord according to the present invention using carbon fiber strands is lightweight, and has excellent durability and strength. In addition, there is no need to apply grease on the surface to prevent corrosion specific to metal materials, so there is no contamination due to grease on work clothes.
In one embodiment, a collar having a semicircular arc shape is further provided, and an annular ridge portion supporting the collar is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical body portion of the thimble in the circumferential direction. An inner surface is provided in contact with the top of the annular ridge, and the carbon fiber strand is hung in an annular groove formed on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical body of the thimble by the annular ridge, and It is also hung on the curved outer surface of the collar. Preferably, the collar has a width (coincident or slightly shorter) corresponding to the spacing between the ends of the cylindrical body.
Since an annular ridge is formed in the circumferential direction on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical barrel of the thimble, an annular groove having a depth corresponding to the height of the annular ridge is formed on the cylindrical barrel. Shaped circumferentially on the outer peripheral surface. In the above embodiment, an annular groove is formed in the circumferential direction on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical body, and an annular ridge extending in the circumferential direction by the annular groove is formed on the outer surface of the cylindrical body. It can also be expressed as being formed.
When a tensile force acts on the pendant rope, a pressing force is applied to the carbon fiber strands hung on the cylindrical body of the thimble at both ends of the pendant rope. When the carbon fiber strands are stacked and hung on the cylindrical body, a larger pressing force is applied to the carbon fiber strand at a position (inner side) closer to the cylindrical body of the thimble. According to the present invention, since the collar is supported by the annular ridge formed on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical body of the thimble, the collar prevents the pressing force from the outside and is inside the collar. It is possible to prevent a large pressing force from being applied to the carbon fiber strand. The durability of the pendant rope is improved.
In another embodiment, the annular ridges are formed in multiple stages, a plurality of collars are provided in contact with the tops of the multi-stage annular ridges, and the carbon fiber strands are formed in the lower annular protrusions. On the curved outer surface of the collar provided in contact with the top of the strip, it is also hung in an annular groove formed by the upper annular convex strip. Multi-stage means that there are a plurality of steps with different heights in the radial direction of the cylindrical body. The above-described pressing force can be blocked by a plurality of collars provided in contact with each of the multistage annular ridges and the tops of the multistage annular ridges.
Preferably, the carbon fiber strands hung on the cylindrical body of the thimble are stacked in two or three layers. That is, when carbon fiber strands are stacked and hung on the cylindrical body (including the curved outer surface of the collar), the number of stacks is limited to 3 (three layers). The pressing force applied to the carbon fiber strand can be kept small.
The present invention also provides a thimble used in the above-mentioned pendant cable. The thimble for pendant rope according to the present invention comprises a cylindrical body and annular flanges extending in the radial direction from both ends of the cylindrical body, and an annular ridge is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical body. Are formed in the circumferential direction. An annular groove is formed (shaped) on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical body by the annular ridge.
The present invention can also be defined as follows. That is, a pendant rope thimble according to the present invention includes a cylindrical body and annular flanges extending radially from both ends of the cylindrical body, and an annular groove is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical body. Are formed in the circumferential direction. An annular ridge is formed (shaped) on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical body by the annular groove.
The collar described above can be supported by the annular ridges on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical body, and thereby the pressing force applied from the outside to the carbon fiber strand positioned inside the collar can be blocked.
The annular ridge portion may be formed in multiple stages.

The
The
The
Since the
The entire surface of the
Carbon fiber is as light as 1/5 of steel wire and has the same strength as steel wire. The

Instead of the
On the curved outer surface of the
