Description
The present invention relates to a light source device and an illumination device.
Conventionally, for example,
By the way, even when a phosphor having an external quantum efficiency of 80% or more is excited at a low energy density, if the heat conduction of the phosphor layer is poor when the phosphor layer is continuously excited at a high density energy, the phosphor generates heat. It is known that the phosphor accumulated in the phosphor layer lowers the quantum efficiency of the phosphor, further generates heat, and due to its vicious cycle, the brightness is lowered by temperature quenching.
Specifically, a phosphor layer in which a phosphor is dispersed in a silicone resin is generally used for the phosphor layer. Here, the thermal conductivity of the phosphor (for example, YAG crystal) is 11.7 W / m · K, whereas the thermal conductivity of a general silicone resin is 0.1 to 0.4 W / m · K. Therefore, the greater the compounding ratio of the silicone resin component having low thermal conductivity, the greater the decrease in fluorescence intensity due to the heat generated by the phosphor.
In the present invention, even when a phosphor dispersed in a transparent medium such as a silicone resin is used for the phosphor layer, the temperature rise of the phosphor layer due to the heat generation of the phosphor is suppressed, and the fluorescence intensity is reduced. An object of the present invention is to provide a light source device and a lighting device that can be prevented.
In order to achieve the above object, the invention described in
According to a second aspect of the present invention, the light source device according to the first aspect further comprises a rotational drive source, wherein the rotational drive source rotates the phosphor layer around a rotational axis, and the semiconductor It is characterized in that the positions where the laser irradiates the phosphor layer are dispersed .
According to a third aspect of the present invention, there is provided an illuminating device comprising: the light source device according to the first or second aspect; and an optical system that controls light emitted from the light source device .
According to the first to third aspects of the present invention, the solid light source that emits light having a predetermined wavelength in the wavelength region from ultraviolet light to green light, and the solid light that is excited by the excitation light from the solid light source. A phosphor layer that emits fluorescence having a wavelength longer than the emission wavelength of the light source, and the phosphor layer is a phosphor in which a phosphor is dispersed in a transparent medium, and the phosphor transparent medium in the phosphor layer The mixing ratio with respect to the weight ratio is in the range of 80 wt% to 82 wt%, and the thickness of the phosphor layer is in the range of 75 μm to 100 μm. Therefore, the phosphor is dispersed in a transparent medium such as a silicone resin. Even when used in the phosphor layer, the temperature rise of the phosphor layer due to the heat generation of the phosphor can be suppressed, and a decrease in fluorescence intensity can be prevented.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating a configuration example of a light source device and a lighting device according to the present invention. In the configuration example of FIG. 1, the light source device includes a solid-
Here, a light emitting diode or a laser diode (semiconductor laser) having a light emission wavelength from ultraviolet light to green light can be used as the
In addition, the
In the configuration example of FIG. 1, the
Moreover, as a fluorescent substance used for the
The
In the present invention, the
Further, the
By the way, when the phosphor is excited with high density energy, part of the absorbed energy is converted into heat. The above-described phosphor used for the
When using a
That is, the smaller the blending ratio of the silicone resin component having a low thermal conductivity (the greater the blending ratio of the phosphor), the higher the thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of the
The inventor of the present application uses the phosphor layer (mixing ratio of the phosphor to the silicone resin) in the light source device having the configuration shown in FIG. Further, the influence of the thickness of the
In the fluorescence intensity measurement system of FIG. 2, the produced phosphor layer 2 (phosphor portion 12) is fixed, and a blue semiconductor whose main wavelength is 460 nm at a position on a straight line perpendicular to the surface of the
In this measurement by the inventors of the present application, Y 3 (Al, Ga) 5 O 12 : Ce 3+ was used as the phosphor of the
FIG. 3 shows the thickness of the
3, 4, and 5, when the thickness of the
From this, the phosphor concentration of the phosphor layer 2 (the blending ratio of the phosphor to the transparent medium such as silicone resin) is in the range of 80 wt% to 82 wt%, and the thickness of the
Further, the inventor of the present application provides the thermal diffusivity (thermal conductivity) of the
From this, it is preferable that the
From the above, the optimum condition of the phosphor concentration of the
In the configuration example of FIG. 1, the excitation light from the solid
When the
1, 7, 8, and 9, the
In this way, the
In the examples of FIGS. 10 and 11, only one type of phosphor layer is used as the
In each of the above-described examples, the light source device and the optical system (lens system) 20 are combined (by emitting light from the light source device through the optical system (lens system) 20 as illumination light). A lighting device can be configured.
Moreover, in the light source device and the illuminating device of each example described above, a light reflective material is used for the
