部材56にて支持させれば、小端面20cを、前記砥石50と同様な、端面研削部と、コ
ーナ部研削部とを備えた砥石にて、小端面20cと、アール部22の小端面側コーナ部22bとを研削することができる。このため、大端面20b乃至アール部における大端面側コーナ部21bを研削する砥石を大端面用砥石と呼び、小端面20c乃至アール部における小端面側コーナ部22bを研削する砥石を小端面用砥石と呼ぶことができる。また、端面用砥石にて研削する工程を大端面研削工程と呼び、小端面用砥石にて研削する工程を小端面研削工程と呼ぶことができる。

Claims (2)
- 大端面と小端面とを有し、両端面側にアール部が形成されるとともに両端面にそれぞれセンタ穴が形成された軸受用ころの加工方法であって、
両端面のセンタ穴にて支持された状態で、外径面把持によりその軸心廻りに回転させつつ、大端面と、アール部における大端面側コーナ部とを、大端面用砥石にて研削する大端面研削工程と、
両端面のセンタ穴にて支持された状態で、外径面把持によりその軸心廻りに回転させつつ、小端面と、アール部における小端面側コーナ部とを、小端面用砥石にて研削する小端面研削工程と、
両端面のセンタ穴にて支持された状態で、少なくともいずれか一方の端面からの駆動力伝達によってその軸心廻りに回転させつつ、外径面と、アール部における外径面側コーナ部のみを、端面用砥石とは相違する外径面用砥石にて研削する外径面研削工程とを備え、 加工された軸受用ころは、大端面と小端面とを有し、大端面側のアール部が、外径面側コーナ部と、大端面側コーナ部と、外径面側コーナ部と大端面側コーナ部との間の、素材加工時に形成された中間アール部とからなるとともに、小端面側のアール部は、外径面側コーナ部と、小端面側コーナ部とからなることを特徴とする軸受用ころ加工方法。 - 焼入鋼切削にて表面を粗加工した後、前記研削工程を行うことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の軸受用ころ加工方法。
