Description
用語「マルチウェルプレート」は、スクリーニング工程のために生物、化学、又は物理的物質を保持するための、あらゆる数のウェルを規定する構造を包含することが意図されている。
マルチウェルプレートにおける生体物質の自動スクリーニング及び操作は、プレートウェルに対するチップアセンブリの位置調整が必要である。例えば、本発明のシステム及び方法は、RNA干渉(RNAi)、及び電解質を満たした毛細管(EFCs)を用いるエレクトロポレーションに基づく相補的DNA(cDNA)ハイスループットスクリーニングトランスフェクションの実施に適切である。

更に、電気接続のバイアス盤に従属しているそれぞれのチップに対して二叉のバイアスピンアセンブリを有している電気接続のバイアス盤を含有し、電気接続のバイアス盤の第1突起部が外部電極接触部をはめ込み、そして第2突起部が内部電極アセンブリをはめ込んで、電極と電気的に接触をして、それぞれのチップ遠位に弾性バイアスをかける、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の装置。 - ウェルの数がチップの数と等しく、複数のウェルが6、12、24、48、96、384、1536又は3456のウェルを含有してなる、請求項9に記載の装置。
- ウェルの数が384であり、チップの数が96であり、ボディーが16の整列孔を規定している、請求項10に記載の装置。
- 外部電極がバンキング表面を形成してプレートに対する正常な位置を設定する、請求項9〜11のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 工程:
ウェルの数がチップの数の少なくとも2倍であるマルチウェルプレートに少なくとも2対の整列孔を提供すること、ここで、1対の整列孔のうち少なくとも1つの整列孔がマルチウェルプレートの第1辺上に形成されていて、少なくとも1つがマルチウェルプレートの第2辺上に形成されている;
ウェルの間隔に対して少なくとも2倍の間隔でチップを有しているチップマニホールドに、少なくとも2つの整列ピンを提供すること、ここで、整列ピンの少なくとも1つはチップマニホールドの第1側面と連結していて、整列ピンの少なくとも1つはチップマニホールドの第2側面と連結している;
少なくとも2つの整列ピンを少なくとも1対の整列孔に挿入して、マルチウェルプレートをチップマニホールドに整列させること;
少なくとも2つの整列ピンの挿入後に、複数のチップを複数のウェル内へ誘導すること;
少なくとも2つの整列ピンを少なくとも1対の整列孔から抜き出し、チップマニホールドをマルチウェルの面と平行な面にある軸に沿って前後左右に移動して、整列ピンをもう1対の整列孔に挿入して、マルチウェルプレートをチップマニホールドと再整列させること;及び
少なくとも2つの整列ピンを再挿入した後、複数のチップを第2の複数のウェル内へ誘導すること:
を含有してなる、チップマニホールドの複数のチップをマルチウェルプレートの複数のウェルと整列させる方法。 - 整列ピンを1対の整列孔に挿入して、複数のチップを複数のウェル内へ誘導する工程が、チップの数に対するウェルの数の倍数に等しい回数反復される、請求項13に記載の方法。
