Description
The present invention mainly relates to a connection sleeve suitable for electrically and mechanically connecting a set of electric wires.
In the case of a wire harness of an automobile, when a failure in electrical continuity occurs in a connector terminal, the repair work is usually performed as follows. That is, the repair worker first removes the terminal in which the problem has occurred from the connector housing, cuts the electric wire connected to the terminal in the middle, and removes the terminal and the electric wire. Next, the repair operator crimps the repair wire with the terminal crimped to the remaining portion of the cut wire using a crimp sleeve (repair sleeve). Finally, the repair wire terminal is attached to the connector housing, and the repair work is completed.
Conventionally, in the field of automobile wire harnesses and the like, electric wires made of copper or copper alloys (copper electric wires) have been used. However, in recent years, from the viewpoint of improving recyclability and reducing weight, there is a demand to use an electric wire made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy (hereinafter sometimes referred to as an aluminum electric wire) instead of a conventional copper electric wire. The above repair work may also be necessary for a wire harness using such an aluminum electric wire, and a sleeve for that purpose has been proposed.
Further, Patent Document 2 discloses an electric wire formed by coating a conductor portion made of aluminum or aluminum alloy with an insulator to peel off one end portion to expose an exposed conductor portion, and the exposed conductor portion and another wire harness. The structure which connects this exposed conductor part via the sleeve of the system compressed by a receiving part and a cover part is disclosed.
However, the configurations of
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object thereof is to provide a connection sleeve that can be reliably connected even when an electric wire to be connected is an aluminum electric wire, and can reduce electrical connection failure. It is in.
The problems to be solved by the present invention are as described above. Next, means for solving the problems and the effects thereof will be described.
According to the viewpoint of this invention , the electric wire connection structure of the following structures is provided. That is, this electric wire connection structure includes a connection sleeve for electrically and mechanically connecting a set of electric wires, a set of electric wires in which exposed conductor portions are electrically connected by the connection sleeve, A heat-shrinkable tube containing an adhesive disposed so as to cover the covering portion of the electric wire and the connection sleeve. The connection sleeve includes a main body, a serration, and a position display unit. The main body is formed in a cylindrical shape by bending a conductive plate into a cylindrical shape, and the exposed conductor portion of the electric wire can be inserted from both sides in the longitudinal direction. The serration is formed inside the body. The position display unit is configured by a groove formed in a circumferential direction on an outer wall surface of the main body in order to display a caulking position for fixing the main body and each electric wire. The main body is formed with a closing portion that partially closes the internal space at a substantially central position in the longitudinal direction. The closing portion is configured by deforming a portion between two cuts forming a cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the main body so as to protrude to the inside of the main body. Two of the position display portions are made into one set, and one set is arranged on each side in the longitudinal direction of the main body. In the longitudinal direction of the part sandwiched by the position display unit of one set with it indicates to the crimping position of the body, wherein the serrations are arranged in a portion sandwiched between the position display unit of one set . The caulking position is set on both sides of the closing portion. The adhesive enters the inside of the main body through the cut.
As a result, the operator can perform the caulking operation while directly confirming the display of the caulking position by the position display unit. Therefore, the variation in the crimping position is reduced, and the portion where the serration is formed can be crimped so that the exposed conductor portion is securely crimped. ) Can be used to reliably break the oxide film and achieve good electrical connection. Further, the caulking operation can be performed while the position of the exposed conductor portion is appropriately determined by a simple operation in which the exposed conductor portion of the electric wire is inserted into the main body and the tip is brought into contact with the closing portion. Moreover, the insulation process and the waterproof process of the wire connection structure can be performed at a time, and the working efficiency can be improved. In addition, since it is configured to cover with the heat shrinkable tube after the crimping operation to the connection sleeve of the electric wire, the position display portion is not hidden by the heat shrinkable tube during the crimping operation.
In the said electric wire connection structure , it is preferable to set it as the following structures . That is, one set of the electric wires is arranged so that the ends of the exposed conductors face each other inside the connection sleeve. The serration is disposed at a position corresponding to the exposed conductor portion of each electric wire. The said position display part displays the said crimping position corresponding to the exposed conductor part of each electric wire.
Thereby, the compact layout which connects two electric wires linearly can be implement | achieved by crimping in the crimping position each displayed on the longitudinal direction both sides of the main body.
In the electric wire connection structure , it is preferable that the type of the conductor portion is different between the electric wire connected to one end of the connection sleeve and the electric wire connected to the other end.
In other words, in the present invention , the connection sleeve is not connected by caulking in a form in which the exposed conductors overlap each other, but each exposed conductor is caulked and connected individually to the main body. Therefore, the structure of this invention is suitable at the point which can implement | achieve reliable electrical conduction, without receiving the influence, when connecting the electric wires from which the hardness of an exposed conductor part differs.
In the wire connection structure , the serration includes a first recessed region formed of an elongated groove, a second recessed region formed by arranging a plurality of parallelogram-shaped recessed portions in a direction along the longitudinal direction of the groove, and It is preferable that includes portions alternately arranged.
Thereby, irrespective of the kind of conductor of an electric wire, favorable electrical connection is realizable.
Next, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the
FIG. 1 shows a sleeve (repair sleeve) 1 used for the repair work of this embodiment. The
The
Further, as shown in FIG. 2,
A
The caulking locations indicated by the
The
Next, with reference to FIG.3 and FIG.4, the connection between the electric wires using said
First, as shown in FIG. 3, the repair worker inserts the exposed
As a result of the above insertion operation, the exposed
Next, as shown in FIG. 4, the repair worker positions the crimping
In the above-described crimping operation, the repair operator can align the position of the crimping
Thereafter, the repair worker performs a caulking operation on the caulking location indicated by the
The
FIG. 5 shows a state in which insulation and waterproofing are performed by the heat-
For example, as shown in Patent Document 2 described above, in the method in which the conductor portions of the electric wires overlap each other and are crimped by crimping one place, the aluminum electric wire and the copper electric wire are connected as in the above example. When connecting, the difference in hardness between aluminum and copper may cause an imbalance in the compression of the conductor portion, which may result in uncertain electrical conduction. In this regard, according to the present embodiment, the
However, the present invention is not limited to the above example, and the
In particular, in the present embodiment, the
Furthermore, in this embodiment, it is the structure which crimps only the exposed
As described above, the
Thereby, the repair worker can perform the caulking work while directly confirming the display of the caulking position by the
In the
Thereby, the compact layout which connects the two
Moreover, in the
Thus, the caulking operation is performed while the positions of the exposed
In the present embodiment, the
That is, the
Further, in the
By configuring the
In this embodiment, the
Thereby, insulation and waterproofing of a wire connection structure can be performed at a time, and work efficiency can be improved. Moreover, since it becomes the structure covered with the
The preferred embodiment of the present invention has been described above, but the above configuration can be modified as follows, for example.
In the above embodiment, the
In the above-described embodiment, both ends of the
