Description
シリカゲル懸濁液のサンプルを、Cabot Corporationから得た。シリカヒドロゾルは、HCl等の酸を含む急速に攪拌した溶液に、希薄されたナトリウムシリケート懸濁液の素早い添加によって調製した。急速に攪拌された溶液は、約5〜約5.4の範囲のpHを有し、ヒドロゲルが生成された。ヒドロゲルを、反応混合物中でさらに破壊し、そして、反応混合物を加熱した。加熱工程を攪拌下で行った。この反応混合物を、約2.25時間還流させ、続いて、約40℃に冷却させた。この冷却工程は、エージングしたシリカゲル懸濁液を生成した。エージングしたシリカゲル懸濁液は、約350m2/gの表面および約8%のシリカ含有量をおおよそ有していた。エージングしたシリカ懸濁液の平均粒径は、31μmであった。

処理試薬系を、トリメチルアルコキシシラン、アンモニアおよび水を混合することによって調製した。次に、試薬系をHMDS中におけるCabot Corporationから入手可能であるNanogel(商標)エーロゲルの懸濁液に混合して加えた。次にこの懸濁液を、攪拌媒体(stirred−media)粉砕機に供給した。

Claims (19)
- 出発エーロゲル粒子を粉砕する工程と、粉砕されたエーロゲル粒子を生成させるための粉砕の間に、凝集を防ぐ1種または2種以上の試薬を含む溶液中で、該出発エーロゲル粒子を処理する工程と、次に該粉砕されたエーロゲルを乾燥させて、凝集していない状態の乾燥したエーロゲル粒子を得る工程と、を含む1μm未満の平均粒径を有するエーロゲル粒子の製造方法であって、該出発エーロゲル粒子および該乾燥したエーロゲル粒子が疎水性エーロゲル粒子であり、そして該乾燥したエーロゲル粒子が40mW/mK未満の熱伝導度を有し、該エーロゲル粒子がシリカゲル粒子である、方法。
- 該出発エーロゲル粒子が、ホモジナイザーを通して粉砕される、請求項1の方法。
- 該粉砕が、湿式粉砕である、請求項1の方法。
- 該湿式粉砕が、有機液体中で生じる、請求項3の方法。
- 該湿式粉砕が、水性液体中で生じる、請求項3の方法。

- 粉砕されたエーロゲル粒子を生成させるために、シリル化剤の存在下で、出発エーロゲル粒子を含む溶液を超音波分解して、1μm未満の平均粒径を有するエーロゲル粒子を生成させる工程と、次に該粉砕されたエーロゲルを乾燥させて、凝集していない状態の乾燥したエーロゲル粒子を得る工程と、を含む1μm未満の平均粒径を有するエーロゲル粒子の製造方法であって、該出発エーロゲル粒子および該乾燥したエーロゲル粒子が疎水性エーロゲル粒子であり、そして該乾燥したエーロゲル粒子が40mW/mK未満の熱伝導度を有し、該エーロゲル粒子がシリカゲル粒子である、方法。
- 粉砕されたエーロゲル粒子を生成させるために、シリル化剤なしで、乾燥出発エーロゲル粒子および溶媒を含む溶液を、超音波分解して、1μm未満の平均粒径を有するエーロゲル粒子を生成させる工程と、次に該粉砕されたエーロゲルを乾燥させて、凝集していない状態の乾燥したエーロゲル粒子を得る工程と、を含む1μm未満の平均粒径を有するエーロゲル粒子の製造方法であって、該出発エーロゲル粒子および該乾燥したエーロゲル粒子が疎水性エーロゲル粒子であり、そして該乾燥したエーロゲル粒子が40mW/mK未満の熱伝導度を有し、該エーロゲル粒子がシリカゲル粒子である、方法。
- 該エーロゲル粒子から多孔質の薄いエーロゲルフィルムを形成する工程をさらに含む、請求項15の方法。
- 該溶液が、該出発エーロゲル粒子の表面の少なくとも一部分もしくは該粉砕の間に新たに生成された該エーロゲル粒子の表面またはそれらの両方を処理する、請求項1の方法。
- 該出発エーロゲル粒子が、少なくとも1種の湿潤剤を用いて処理される、請求項1の方法。
